29:17  Ať není mezi vámi muž ani žena, čeleď ani kmen, jejichž srdce by se dnes odvrátilo od Hospodina, našeho Boha, takže by šli sloužit bohům těch pronárodů. Ať není mezi vámi kořen plodící jed a pelyněk.

29:17  Ať se mezi vámi nevyskytne muž ani žena, rodina ani kmen, jenž by se dnes v srdci odvrátil od Hospodina, našeho Boha, a šel by sloužit bohům oněch národů. Ať se mezi vámi nevyskytne kořen plodící takový hořký jed!

29:17  Ať není mezi vámi muž či žena či rodina či kmen, jehož srdce by se dnes odvrátilo od Hospodina, našeho Boha, aby šel sloužit bohům oněch národů. Ať není mezi vámi kořen plodící jed a pelyněk.

29:17  A viděli jste ohavnosti jejich i modly jejich, dřevo i kámen, stříbro i zlato, kteréž jest při nich.

29:18  Lest perhaps there should be among you a man or a woman, a family or a tribe, whose heart is turned away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of those nations: and there should be among you a root bringing forth gall and bitterness.

29:18  Mohlo by se stát, že by někdo slyšel slova této kletby a v duchu by si dobrořečil: „Budu mít pokoj, i když si budu žít v zarputilosti srdce, vždyť to dopadne stejně s opilým jako se střízlivým.“

29:18  Kdyby takový člověk uslyšel tato přísežná slova, možná by si představoval požehnání a říkal by si: „I když se řídím jen svým zatvrzelým srdcem, budu se mít dobře!“ (Jako by počítal zpitého mezi žíznivé.)

29:18  I stane se, když někdo takový uslyší slova tohoto prokletí, že si bude blahořečit a řekne: ⌈Bude se mi dařit dobře,⌉ i když budu ⌈žít podle svého umíněného srdce⌉ -- tak zničí ⌈zavlažovanou i vyprahlou zem.⌉

29:18  Hleďtež, ať nebývá mezi vámi muže, aneb ženy, aneb čeledi, aneb pokolení, jehož by srdce odvrátilo se dnes od Hospodina Boha našeho, a šel by sloužiti bohům těch národů; ať nebývá mezi vámi kořene plodícího jed a hořkost.

29:19  And when he shall hear the words of this oath, he should bless himself in his heart saying: I shall have peace, and will walk on in the naughtiness of my heart: and the drunken may consume the thirsty,

29:19  Takovému nebude Hospodin ochoten odpustit. Tehdy vzplane Hospodinův hněv i jeho rozhorlení proti tomu muži a dolehne na něj každá kletba zapsaná v této knize a Hospodin vymaže zpod nebes jeho jméno.

29:19  Hospodin nikomu takovému nikdy neodpustí – naopak, vzplane proti němu Hospodinův vášnivý hněv! Hospodin jej zahrne každou kletbou zapsanou v této knize Zákona a jeho jméno pod nebem vymaže.
