I Ki KJV 20:6  Yet I will send my servants unto thee to morrow about this time, and they shall search thine house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it away.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:6  A proto zítra v tento čas pošlu k tobě své služebníky. Prohledají tvůj dům i domy tvých služebníků a všechno, co je žádoucí tvým očím, zabaví a vezmou.“

I Ki DRC 20:7  And the king of Israel called all the ancients of the land, and said: Mark, and see that he layeth snares for us. For he sent to me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver and gold: and I said not nay.
I Ki KJV 20:7  Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:7  Tu svolal izraelský král všechny starší země. a řekl: „Uvažte prosím a pohleďte, jaké zlo ten člověk chystá!
I Ki Webster 20:7  Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this [man] seeketh mischief: for he sent to me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold, and I denied him not.
I Ki NHEB 20:7  Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, "Please notice how this man seeks mischief; for he sent to me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I did not deny him."
I Ki AKJV 20:7  Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeks mischief: for he sent to me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.
I Ki DRC 20:8  And all the ancients, and all the people said to him: Hearken not to him, nor consent to him.
I Ki KJV 20:8  And all the elders and all the people said unto him, Hearken not unto him, nor consent.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:8  Všichni starší i všechen lid mu řekli: „Neposlouchej ho a nepřivoluj mu.“
I Ki CzeB21 20:8  „Neposlechni ho!“ radili mu stařešinové i všichni ostatní. „Nepodvoluj se!“
I Ki CzeCSP 20:8  Všichni starší a všechen lid mu řekli: Neposlouchej ho a nepodvoluj se.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:8  I řekli jemu všickni starší a všecken lid: Neposlouchejž ho, ani mu povoluj.
I Ki Webster 20:8  And all the elders and all the people said to him, Hearken not [to him], nor consent.
I Ki NHEB 20:8  All the elders and all the people said to him, "Do not listen, neither consent."
I Ki AKJV 20:8  And all the elders and all the people said to him, Listen not to him, nor consent.
I Ki DRC 20:9  Wherefore he answered the messengers of Benadad: Tell my lord, the king: All that thou didst send for to me, thy servant at first, I will do: but this thing I cannot do.
I Ki KJV 20:9  Wherefore he said unto the messengers of Ben–hadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou didst send for to thy servant at the first I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:9  Odpověděl tedy Ben-hadadovým poslům: „Řekněte králi, mému pánu: Všechno, kvůli čemu jsi k svému služebníku poslal poprvé, učiním, ale tuto věc učinit nemohu.“ Poslové odešli a vyřídili odpověď.
Poslové odešli a takto odpověděli.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:9  Protož odpověděl poslům Benadadovým: Povězte pánu mému králi: Všecko to, o čež jsi poslal k služebníku svému prvé, učiním, ale této věci učiniti nemohu. Takž odešli poslové, a donesli mu tu odpověd.
I Ki Webster 20:9  Wherefore he said to the messengers of Ben-hadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou didst send for to thy servant at the first, I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.
I Ki NHEB 20:9  Therefore he said to the messengers of Ben Hadad, "Tell my lord the king, 'All that you sent for to your servant at the first I will do; but this thing I cannot do.'" The messengers departed, and brought him back the message.
I Ki AKJV 20:9  Why he said to the messengers of Benhadad, Tell my lord the king, All that you did send for to your servant at the first I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.
I Ki VulgClem 20:9  Respondit itaque nuntiis Benadad : Dicite domino meo regi : Omnia propter quæ misisti ad me servum tuum in initio, faciam : hanc autem rem facere non possum.
I Ki DRC 20:10  And the messengers returning brought him word. And he sent again, and said: Such and such things may the gods do to me, and more may they add, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.
I Ki KJV 20:10  And Ben–hadad sent unto him, and said, The gods do so unto me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.
I Ki CzeB21 20:10  Ben-hadad mu na to vzkázal: „Ať mě bohové potrestají a ještě mi přidají, jestli v Samaří bude dost prachu, aby každý z mých mužů nabral aspoň trochu!“
I Ki Webster 20:10  And Ben-hadad sent to him, and said, The gods do so to me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.
I Ki NHEB 20:10  Ben Hadad sent to him, and said, "The gods do so to me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people who follow me."
I Ki AKJV 20:10  And Benhadad sent to him, and said, The gods do so to me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.
I Ki VulgClem 20:10  Reversique nuntii retulerunt ei.
I Ki DRC 20:11  And the king of Israel answering, said: Tell him: Let not the girded boast himself as the ungirded.
I Ki KJV 20:11  And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth on his harness boast himself as he that putteth it off.
I Ki Webster 20:11  And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell [him], Let not him that girdeth on [his harness] boast himself as he that putteth it off.
I Ki NHEB 20:11  The king of Israel answered, "Tell him, 'Do not let him who puts on his armor brag like he who takes it off.'"
I Ki AKJV 20:11  And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that girds on his harness boast himself as he that puts it off.
I Ki VulgClem 20:11  Et respondens rex Israël, ait : Dicite ei : Ne glorietur, accinctus æque ut discinctus.
I Ki DRC 20:12  And it came to pass, when Benadad heard this word, that he and the kings were drinking in pavilions, and he said to his servants: Beset the city. And they beset it.
I Ki KJV 20:12  And it came to pass, when Ben–hadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:12  Jak Ben-hadad to slovo uslyšel, právě totiž popíjel, on i králové, ve stanech, rozkázal svým služebníkům: „Nastupte!“ A nastoupili proti městu.
I přitrhli k městu.
I Ki Webster 20:12  And it came to pass, when [Ben-hadad] heard this message as he [was] drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said to his servants, Set [yourselves in array]. And they set [themselves in array] against the city.
I Ki NHEB 20:12  It happened, when Ben Hadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings, in the pavilions, that he said to his servants, "Prepare to attack!" They prepared to attack the city.
I Ki AKJV 20:12  And it came to pass, when Ben-hadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said to his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city.
I Ki DRC 20:13  And behold a prophet coming to Achab, king of Israel, said to him: Thus saith the Lord: Hast thou seen all this exceeding great multitude? behold I will deliver them into thy hand this day: that thou mayst know that I am the Lord.
I Ki KJV 20:13  And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:13  I přistoupil k izraelskému králi Achabovi jeden prorok a řekl: „Toto praví Hospodin: Vidíš celé toto veliké množství?
I Ki CzeCSP 20:13  A hle, nějaký prorok přistoupil k izraelskému králi Achabovi a řekl: Toto praví Hospodin: Vidíš celý ten velký dav?
I Ki CzeBKR 20:13  A hle, prorok nějaký přišed k Achabovi králi Izraelskému, řekl: Toto praví Hospodin: Zdaliž jsi neviděl všeho množství tohoto velikého?
I Ki Webster 20:13  And behold, there came a prophet to Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thy hand this day; and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD.
I Ki NHEB 20:13  Behold, a prophet came near to Ahab king of Israel, and said, "Thus says the Lord, 'Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand this day; and you shall know that I am the Lord.'"
I Ki AKJV 20:13  And, behold, there came a prophet to Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus said the LORD, Have you seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into your hand this day; and you shall know that I am the LORD.
I Ki VulgClem 20:13  Et ecce propheta unus accedens ad Achab regem Israël, ait ei : Hæc dicit Dominus : Certe vidisti omnem multitudinem hanc nimiam ? ecce ego tradam eam in manu tua hodie, ut scias quia ego sum Dominus.
I Ki DRC 20:14  And Achab said: By whom? And he said to him: Thus saith the Lord: By the servants of the princes of the provinces. And he said: Who shall begin to fight? And he said: Thou.
I Ki KJV 20:14  And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Even by the young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall order the battle? And he answered, Thou.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:14  Tu řekl Achab: „Skrze koho?“ On odvětil: „Toto praví Hospodin: Skrze družinu velitelů krajů.“ Otázal se: „Kdo svede bitvu?“ Prorok odvětil: „Ty!“
I Ki CzeB21 20:14  „Jak se to stane?“ zeptal se Achab. „Tak praví Hospodin: Skrze mladíky sloužící u krajských hejtmanů,“ odpověděl prorok. „Kdo zahájí útok?“ zeptal se ještě. „Ty,“ odpověděl prorok.
I Ki CzeCSP 20:14  Achab se zeptal: Skrze koho? Odpověděl: Toto praví Hospodin: Skrze služebníky velitelů provincií. Zeptal se: Kdo rozpoutá boj? Odpověděl: Ty.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:14  A když řekl Achab: Skrze koho? odpověděl on: Tak praví Hospodin: Skrze služebníky knížat krajů. Řekl ještě: Kdo svede tu bitvu? Odpověděl: Ty.
I Ki Webster 20:14  And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus saith the LORD, [Even] by the young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall order the battle? And he answered, Thou.
I Ki NHEB 20:14  Ahab said, "By whom?" He said, "Thus says the Lord, 'By the young men of the princes of the provinces.'" Then he said, "Who shall begin the battle?" He answered, "You."
I Ki AKJV 20:14  And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus said the LORD, Even by the young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall order the battle? And he answered, You.
I Ki VulgClem 20:14  Et ait Achab : Per quem ? Dixitque ei : Hæc dicit Dominus : Per pedissequos principum provinciarum. Et ait : Quis incipiet præliari ? Et ille dixit : Tu.
I Ki DRC 20:15  So he mustered the servants of the princes of the provinces, and he found the number of two hundred and thirty-two: and he mustered after them the people, all the children of Israel, seven thousand:
I Ki KJV 20:15  Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty two: and after them he numbered all the people, even all the children of Israel, being seven thousand.
I Ki Webster 20:15  Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty two: and after them he numbered all the people, [even] all the children of Israel, [being] seven thousand.

I Ki VulgClem 20:15  Recensuit ergo pueros principum provinciarum, et reperit numerum ducentorum triginta duorum : et recensuit post eos populum, omnes filios Israël, septem millia.
I Ki DRC 20:16  And they went out at noon. But Benadad was drinking himself drunk in his pavilion, and the two and thirty kings with him, who were come to help him.
I Ki KJV 20:16  And they went out at noon. But Ben–hadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two kings that helped him.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:16  Vytáhli v poledne.
I Ki CzeB21 20:16  Vytáhli v poledne.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:16  I vytáhli o poledni.

I Ki VulgClem 20:16  Et egressi sunt meridie.
I Ki DRC 20:17  And the servants of the princes of the provinces went out first. And Benadad sent. And they told him, saying: There are men come out of Samaria.
I Ki KJV 20:17  And the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first; and Ben–hadad sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:17  Nejprve vytáhla družina velitelů krajů.
I Ki CzeCSP 20:17  Služebníci velitelů provincií vytáhli první. ⌈Ben–hadadovi vzkázali⌉ a oznámili: Ze Samaří vytáhli nějací muži.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:17  A tak vytáhli služebníci knížat krajů nejprvé. I poslal Benadad, (když mu pověděli, řkouce: Muži vytáhli z Samaří,)

I Ki DRC 20:18  And he said: Whether they come for peace, take them alive: or whether they come to fight, take them alive.
I Ki KJV 20:18  And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive.
I Ki Webster 20:18  And he said, Whether they have come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they have come out for war, take them alive.
I Ki NHEB 20:18  He said, "If they have come out for peace, take them alive; or if they have come out for war, take them alive."
I Ki AKJV 20:18  And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive.
I Ki VulgClem 20:18  Et ille ait : Sive pro pace veniunt, apprehendite eos vivos : sive ut prælientur, vivos eos capite.
I Ki DRC 20:19  So the servants of the princes of the provinces went out, and the rest of the army followed:
I Ki KJV 20:19  So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them.
I Ki Webster 20:19  So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them.
I Ki NHEB 20:19  So these went out of the city, the young men of the princes of the provinces, and the army which followed them.
I Ki AKJV 20:19  So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them.
I Ki VulgClem 20:19  Egressi sunt ergo pueri principum provinciarum, ac reliquus exercitus sequebatur :
I Ki DRC 20:20  And every one slew the man that came against him: and the Syrians fled, and Israel pursued after them. And Benadad, king of Syria, fled away on horseback with his horsemen.
I Ki KJV 20:20  And they slew every one his man: and the Syrians fled; and Israel pursued them: and Ben–hadad the king of Syria escaped on an horse with the horsemen.
I Ki Webster 20:20  And they slew every one his man: and the Syrians fled; and Israel pursued them: and Ben-hadad the king of Syria escaped on a horse with the horsemen.
I Ki NHEB 20:20  They each killed his man. The Syrians fled, and Israel pursued them. Ben Hadad the king of Syria escaped on a horse with horsemen.
I Ki AKJV 20:20  And they slew every one his man: and the Syrians fled; and Israel pursued them: and Benhadad the king of Syria escaped on an horse with the horsemen.
Fugit quoque Benadad rex Syriæ in equo cum equitibus suis.
I Ki DRC 20:21  But the king of Israel going out overthrew the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.
I Ki KJV 20:21  And the king of Israel went out, and smote the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:21  Také izraelský král vytáhl a pobil koně, rozbil vozy a připravil Aramejcům zdrcující porážku.
I Ki CzeB21 20:21  Izraelský král vyrazil vpřed, zaútočil na koně i vozy a způsobil Aramejcům hroznou porážku.
I Ki CzeCSP 20:21  Izraelský král vyrazil, pobíjel koně i vozbu a způsobil Aramejcům velikou porážku.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:21  Potom vytáhl král Izraelský, a pobil koně i vozy zkazil, a tak porazil Syrské ranou velikou.
I Ki Webster 20:21  And the king of Israel went out, and smote the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.
I Ki NHEB 20:21  The king of Israel went out, and struck the horses and chariots, and killed the Syrians with a great slaughter.
I Ki AKJV 20:21  And the king of Israel went out, and smote the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.
I Ki VulgClem 20:21  Necnon egressus rex Israël percussit equos et currus, et percussit Syriam plaga magna.
I Ki DRC 20:22  (And a prophet coming to the king of Israel, said to him: Go, and strengthen thyself, and know, and see what thou dost: for the next year the king of Syria will come up against thee.)
I Ki KJV 20:22  And the prophet came to the king of Israel, and said unto him, Go, strengthen thyself, and mark, and see what thou doest: for at the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against thee.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:22  I přistoupil k izraelskému králi prorok a řekl mu: „Jdi a vzchop se! Uvaž a pohleď, co učiníš, až proti tobě na přelomu roku vytáhne aramejský král.“
I Ki CzeB21 20:22  K izraelskému králi tehdy přistoupil ten prorok a řekl mu: „Jdi, opatři si posily a dobře rozvaž, co máš dělat.
I Ki Webster 20:22  And the prophet came to the king of Israel, and said to him, Go, strengthen thyself, and mark, and see what thou doest: for at the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against thee.

I Ki AKJV 20:22  And the prophet came to the king of Israel, and said to him, Go, strengthen yourself, and mark, and see what you do: for at the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against you.
I Ki DRC 20:23  But the servants of the king of Syria said to him: Their gods are gods of the hills, therefore they have overcome us: but it is better that we should fight against them in the plains, and we shall overcome them.
I Ki KJV 20:23  And the servants of the king of Syria said unto him, Their gods are gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
I Ki Webster 20:23  And the servants of the king of Syria said to him, Their gods [are] gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
I Ki NHEB 20:23  The servants of the king of Syria said to him, "Their god is a god of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we. But let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
I Ki AKJV 20:23  And the servants of the king of Syria said to him, Their gods are gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
I Ki DRC 20:24  Do thou, therefore, this thing: Remove all the kings from thy army, and put captains in their stead:
I Ki KJV 20:24  And do this thing, Take the kings away, every man out of his place, and put captains in their rooms:
I Ki Webster 20:24  And do this thing, Take the kings away, every man out of his place, and put captains in their rooms:
I Ki NHEB 20:24  Do this thing: take the kings away, every man out of his place, and put captains in their place.
I Ki AKJV 20:24  And do this thing, Take the kings away, every man out of his place, and put captains in their rooms:
I Ki DRC 20:25  And make up the number of soldiers that have been slain of thine, and horses, according to the former horses, and chariots, according to the chariots which thou hadst before: and we will fight against them in the plains, and thou shalt see that we shall overcome them. He believed their counsel, and did so.
I Ki KJV 20:25  And number thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened unto their voice, and did so.
I Ki Webster 20:25  And number thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, [and] surely we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened to their voice, and did so.
I Ki NHEB 20:25  Muster an army, like the army that you have lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot. We will fight against them in the plain, and surely we will be stronger than them." He listened to their voice, and did so.
I Ki AKJV 20:25  And number you an army, like the army that you have lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they. And he listened to their voice, and did so.
I Ki DRC 20:26  Wherefore, at the return of the year, Benadad mustered the Syrians, and went up to Aphec, to fight against Israel.
I Ki KJV 20:26  And it came to pass at the return of the year, that Ben–hadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Israel.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:26  Na přelomu roku vykonal Ben-hadad přehlídku Aramejců a vytáhl k Afeku do boje s Izraelem.
I Ki CzeB21 20:26  Po roce pak nechal nastoupit Aramejce a vytáhl k Afeku, aby bojoval proti Izraeli.
I Ki Webster 20:26  And it came to pass at the return of the year, that Ben-hadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Israel.
I Ki NHEB 20:26  It happened at the return of the year, that Ben Hadad mustered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Israel.
I Ki AKJV 20:26  And it came to pass at the return of the year, that Benhadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Israel.
I Ki VulgClem 20:26  Igitur postquam annus transierat, recensuit Benadad Syros, et ascendit in Aphec ut pugnaret contra Israël.
I Ki DRC 20:27  And the children of Israel were mustered, and taking victuals, went out on the other side, and encamped over against them, like two little flocks of goats: but the Syrians filled the land.
I Ki KJV 20:27  And the children of Israel were numbered, and were all present, and went against them: and the children of Israel pitched before them like two little flocks of kids; but the Syrians filled the country.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:27  Také Izraelci vykonali přehlídku, opatřili si potravu a vytáhli proti nim. Izraelci se před nimi utábořili jako dva houfy koz, kdež to Aramejci zaplavili zemi.
I Ki CzeB21 20:27  Také synové Izraele nastoupili, nabrali si zásoby a vyrazili jim vstříc.
I Ki Webster 20:27  And the children of Israel were numbered, and were all present, and went against them: and the children of Israel encamped before them like two little flocks of kids; but the Syrians filled the country.

I Ki AKJV 20:27  And the children of Israel were numbered, and were all present, and went against them: and the children of Israel pitched before them like two little flocks of kids; but the Syrians filled the country.
I Ki DRC 20:28  (And a man of God coming, said to the king of Israel: Thus saith the Lord: Because the Syrians have said: The Lord is God of the hills, but is not God of the valleys: I will deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.)
I Ki KJV 20:28  And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the Lord, Because the Syrians have said, The Lord is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:28  Tu přistoupil muž Boží a řekl izraelskému králi: „Toto praví Hospodin: Protože Aramejci řekli: ‚Hospodin je Bohem hor a nikoli Bohem dolin‘, dám celý tento veliký hlučící dav do tvých rukou a poznáte, že já jsem Hospodin.“
I Ki CzeB21 20:28  Vtom k izraelskému králi přišel Boží muž a řekl: „Tak praví Hospodin: Protože Aramejci tvrdili, že Hospodin je bohem hor, a nikoli bohem nížin, vydám ti celé to ohromné vojsko do rukou, abyste poznali, že já jsem Hospodin.“
I Ki CzeCSP 20:28  Potom přistoupil muž Boží a řekl izraelskému králi: Toto praví Hospodin: Protože Aramejci řekli: Hospodin je Bohem hor a ne Bohem údolí, vydám celé toto velké množství do tvé ruky a poznáte, že já jsem Hospodin.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:28  V tom přišel týž muž Boží, a mluvil králi Izraelskému a řekl: Takto praví Hospodin: Proto že pravili Syrští: Bohem hor jest Hospodin a ne Bohem rovin, dám všecko množství toto veliké v ruce tvé, abyste věděli, že já jsem Hospodin.
I Ki Webster 20:28  And there came a man of God, and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD [is] God of the hills, but he [is] not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.
I Ki NHEB 20:28  A man of God came near and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, "Thus says the Lord, 'Because the Syrians have said, "The Lord is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys"; therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.'"
I Ki AKJV 20:28  And there came a man of God, and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, Thus said the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the LORD.
I Ki VulgClem 20:28  (Et accedens unus vir Dei, dixit ad regem Israël : Hæc dicit Dominus : Quia dixerunt Syri : Deus montium est Dominus, et non est Deus vallium : dabo omnem multitudinem hanc grandem in manu tua, et scietis quia ego sum Dominus.)
I Ki DRC 20:29  And both sides set their armies in array one against the other seven days, and on the seventh day the battle was fought: and the children of Israel slew, of the Syrians, a hundred thousand footmen in one day.
I Ki KJV 20:29  And they pitched one over against the other seven days. And so it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel slew of the Syrians an hundred thousand footmen in one day.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:29  I tábořili jedni proti druhým sedm dní. Sedmého dne došlo k boji a Izraelci Aramejce pobili, sto tisíc pěšáků v jednom dni.
I Ki CzeB21 20:29  Celý týden tábořili proti sobě a sedmého dne se strhla bitva.
I Ki CzeCSP 20:29  Jedni tábořili proti druhým sedm dní.
I porazili synové Izraelští z Syrských sto tisíc pěších dne jednoho.
I Ki Webster 20:29  And they encamped one over against the other seven days. And [so] it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel slew of the Syrians a hundred thousand footmen in one day.
I Ki NHEB 20:29  They encamped one over against the other seven days. So it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined; and the children of Israel killed one hundred thousand footmen of the Syrians in one day.
I Ki AKJV 20:29  And they pitched one over against the other seven days. And so it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel slew of the Syrians an hundred thousand footmen in one day.
I Ki DRC 20:30  And they that remained fled to Aphec, into the city: and the wall fell upon seven and twenty thousand men, that were left. And Benadad fleeing, went into the city, into a chamber that was within a chamber.
I Ki KJV 20:30  But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and there a wall fell upon twenty and seven thousand of the men that were left. And Ben–hadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:30  Zbylí utíkali směrem k Afeku.
I Ki CzeCSP 20:30  Zbývající utíkali do Afeku, dovnitř města. Avšak hradby spadly na ⌈zbývajících dvacet sedm tisíc mužů.⌉ Ben–hadad utekl a vešel do města, do ⌈nejzazšího pokoje.⌉
I Ki CzeBKR 20:30  Jiní pak zutíkali do města Afeku, kdež padla zed na dvadceti a sedm tisíc mužů, kteříž byli pozůstali. Ale Benadad utíkaje, přišel do města, do nejtajnějšího pokoje.
I Ki Webster 20:30  But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and [there] a wall fell upon twenty and seven thousand of the men [that were] left. And Ben-hadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber.
I Ki NHEB 20:30  But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and the wall fell on twenty-seven thousand men who were left. Ben Hadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner room.
I Ki AKJV 20:30  But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and there a wall fell on twenty and seven thousand of the men that were left. And Benhadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber.
I Ki DRC 20:31  And his servants said to him: Behold, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful; so let us put sackcloths on our loins, and ropes on our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: perhaps he will save our lives.
I Ki KJV 20:31  And his servants said unto him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings: let us, I pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: peradventure he will save thy life.
I Ki Webster 20:31  And his servants said to him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel [are] merciful kings: let us, I pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: it may be he will save thy life.
I Ki NHEB 20:31  His servants said to him, "See now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings. Please let us put sackcloth on our bodies, and ropes on our heads, and go out to the king of Israel. Maybe he will save your life."
I Ki AKJV 20:31  And his servants said to him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings: let us, I pray you, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes on our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: peradventure he will save your life.
I Ki VulgClem 20:31  Dixeruntque ei servi sui : Ecce, audivimus quod reges domus Israël clementes sint : ponamus itaque saccos in lumbis nostris, et funiculos in capitibus nostris, et egrediamur ad regem Israël : forsitan salvabit animas nostras.
I Ki DRC 20:32  So they girded sackcloths on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said to him: Thy servant, Benadad, saith: I beseech thee let me have my life. And he said: If he be yet alive, he is my brother.
I Ki KJV 20:32  So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Ben–hadad saith, I pray thee, let me live. And he said, Is he yet alive? he is my brother.
I Ki Webster 20:32  So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and [put] ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Ben-hadad saith, I pray thee, let me live. And he said, [Is] he yet alive? he [is] my brother.
I Ki NHEB 20:32  So they put sackcloth on their bodies and ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, "Your servant Ben Hadad says, 'Please let me live.'" He said, "Is he still alive? He is my brother."
I Ki AKJV 20:32  So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Your servant Benhadad said, I pray you, let me live. And he said, Is he yet alive? he is my brother.
I Ki VulgClem 20:32  Accinxerunt saccis lumbos suos, et posuerunt funiculos in capitibus suis, veneruntque ad regem Israël, et dixerunt ei : Servus tuus Benadad dicit : Vivat, oro te, anima mea.
I Ki DRC 20:33  The men took this for good luck: and in haste caught the word out of his mouth, and said: Thy brother Benadad. And he said to them: Go, and bring him to me. Then Benadad came out to him, and he lifted him up into his chariot.
I Ki KJV 20:33  Now the men did diligently observe whether any thing would come from him, and did hastily catch it: and they said, Thy brother Ben–hadad. Then he said, Go ye, bring him. Then Ben–hadad came forth to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot.
Ben-hadad k němu tedy vyšel a on ho pozval k sobě do vozu.
I Ki CzeCSP 20:33  Ti muži to vzali jako znamení, rychle ho vzali za slovo a řekli: Ano, Ben–hadad je tvým bratrem. Řekl: Jděte a přiveďte ho. Ben–hadad k němu vyšel a on ho vzal na vůz.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:33  Muži pak ti soudíc to za dobré znamení, rychle chytili ta slova od něho a řekli: Bratrť jest tvůj Benadad. I řekl: Jděte, přiveďte ho sem. Takž vyšel k němu Benadad, i kázal mu vstoupiti na svůj vůz.
I Ki Webster 20:33  Now the men diligently observed whether [any thing would come] from him, and did hastily catch [it]: and they said, Thy brother Ben-hadad. Then he said, Go ye, bring him. Then Ben-hadad came forth to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot.
I Ki NHEB 20:33  Now the men observed diligently, and hurried to take this phrase; and they said, "Your brother Ben Hadad." Then he said, "Go, bring him." Then Ben Hadad came out to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot.
I Ki AKJV 20:33  Now the men did diligently observe whether any thing would come from him, and did hastily catch it: and they said, Your brother Benhadad. Then he said, Go you, bring him. Then Benhadad came forth to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot.
I Ki DRC 20:34  And he said to him: The cities which my father took from thy father, I will restore: and do thou make thee streets in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria and having made a league, I will depart from thee. So he made a league with him, and let him go.
I Ki KJV 20:34  And Ben–hadad said unto him, The cities, which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thee in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
Uzavřel s ním smlouvu a propustil ho.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:34  Tedy řekl jemu Benadad: Města, kteráž otec můj pobral otci tvému, navrátímť, a ulice zděláš sobě v Damašku, jako byl udělal otec můj v Samaří. I odpověděl: Já vedlé smlouvy této propustím tě. A tak učinil s ním smlouvu a propustil ho.
I Ki Webster 20:34  And [Ben-hadad] said to him, The cities, which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thee in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then [said Ahab], I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
I Ki NHEB 20:34  Ben Hadad said to him, "The cities which my father took from your father I will restore. You shall make streets for yourself in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria." "I," said Ahab, "will let you go with this covenant." So he made a covenant with him, and let him go.
I Ki AKJV 20:34  And Ben-hadad said to him, The cities, which my father took from your father, I will restore; and you shall make streets for you in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send you away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
I Ki VulgClem 20:34  Qui dixit ei : Civitates quas tulit pater meus a patre tuo, reddam : et plateas fac tibi in Damasco, sicut fecit pater meus in Samaria, et ego fœderatus recedam a te. Pepigit ergo fœdus, et dimisit eum.
I Ki DRC 20:35  Then a certain man of the sons of the prophets, said to his companion, in the word of the Lord: Strike me. But he would not strike.
I Ki KJV 20:35  And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said unto his neighbour in the word of the Lord, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused to smite him.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:35  Jeden muž z prorockých žáků řekl na Hospodinovo slovo svému druhovi: „Zbij mě!“ Ale ten muž ho odmítl zbít.
I Ki CzeCSP 20:35  Tehdy nějaký muž z prorockých žáků řekl svému druhovi podle Hospodinova slova: Udeř mě. Ale on ho nechtěl udeřit.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:35  Muž pak nějaký z synů prorockých řekl bližnímu svému z rozkazu Božího: Ubí mne medle. Ale muž ten nechtěl ho bíti.

I Ki AKJV 20:35  And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbor in the word of the LORD, Smite me, I pray you. And the man refused to smite him.
I Ki VulgClem 20:35  Tunc vir quidam de filiis prophetarum dixit ad socium suum in sermone Domini : Percute me. At ille noluit percutere.
I Ki DRC 20:36  Then he said to him: Because thou wouldst not hearken to the word of the Lord, behold thou shalt depart from me, and a lion shall slay thee. And when he was gone a little from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
I Ki KJV 20:36  Then said he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voice of the Lord, behold, as soon as thou art departed from me, a lion shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:36  I řekl mu: „Protože jsi neuposlechl Hospodinova hlasu, hle, až půjdeš ode mne, zadáví tě lev.“ Když od něho odešel, přepadl ho lev a zadávil ho.
I Ki CzeB21 20:36  a tak mu řekl: „Protože jsi neposlechl Hospodina, až půjdeš ode mě, zabije tě lev.“ A když pak šel od něj, potkal ho lev a zabil ho.
I Ki CzeCSP 20:36  Řekl mu: Protože jsi neuposlechl Hospodina, hle, až půjdeš ode mě, zabije tě lev.
I Ki Webster 20:36  Then said he to him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voice of the LORD, behold, as soon as thou hast departed from me, a lion will slay thee. And as soon as he had departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
I Ki NHEB 20:36  Then he said to him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord, behold, as soon as you are departed from me, a lion shall kill you." As soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and killed him.

I Ki VulgClem 20:36  Cui ait : Quia noluisti audire vocem Domini, ecce recedes a me, et percutiet te leo.
I Ki DRC 20:37  Then he found another man, and said to him: Strike me. And he struck him and wounded him.
I Ki KJV 20:37  Then he found another man, and said, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man smote him, so that in smiting he wounded him.

I Ki CzeCSP 20:37  Potkal jiného muže a řekl: Udeř mě. Ten muž ho silně udeřil a zranil.
I Ki CzeBKR 20:37  Opět nalezl muže druhého, jemuž řekl: Medle, ubí mne. Kterýž ubil ho velice a ranil.

I Ki AKJV 20:37  Then he found another man, and said, Smite me, I pray you. And the man smote him, so that in smiting he wounded him.
I Ki VulgClem 20:37  Sed et alterum inveniens virum, dixit ad eum : Percute me. Qui percussit eum, et vulneravit.
I Ki DRC 20:38  So the prophet went, and met the king in the way, and disguised himself by sprinkling dust on his face and his eyes.
I Ki KJV 20:38  So the prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way, and disguised himself with ashes upon his face.
I Ki Webster 20:38  So the prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way, and disguised himself with ashes upon his face.

I Ki VulgClem 20:38  Abiit ergo propheta, et occurrit regi in via, et mutavit aspersione pulveris os et oculos suos.
I Ki DRC 20:39  And as the king passed by, he cried to the king, and said: Thy servant went out to fight hand to hand: and when a certain man was run away, one brought him to me, and said: Keep this man: and if he shall slip away, thy life shall be for his life, or thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
I Ki KJV 20:39  And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
Někdo tam ke mně přivedl zajatce a řekl mi: ‚Hlídej ho.
I Ki Webster 20:39  And as the king passed by, he cried to the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man to me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he shall be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
I Ki NHEB 20:39  As the king passed by, he cried to the king; and he said, "Your servant went out into the midst of the battle; and behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man to me, and said, 'Guard this man! If by any means he be missing, then your life shall be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.'
I Ki AKJV 20:39  And as the king passed by, he cried to the king: and he said, Your servant went out into the middle of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man to me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall your life be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.
I Ki DRC 20:40  And whilst I, in the hurry, turned this way and that, on a sudden he was not to be seen. And the king of Israel said to him: This is thy judgment, which thyself hast decreed.
I Ki KJV 20:40  And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.
I Ki CzeCEP 20:40  Ač tvůj služebník dělal to i ono, zajatec zmizel.“ Izraelský král mu řekl: „Vynesl jsi rozsudek sám nad sebou.“
I Ki CzeB21 20:40  Tvůj služebník se pak zabýval tím a oním, a ten muž se ztratil.“ Izraelský král mu odpověděl: „Nuže, sám jsi nad sebou vyřkl rozsudek!“
I Ki CzeCSP 20:40  I stalo se, když tvůj otrok dělal cosi tu a tam, že zmizel. Izraelský král mu řekl: ⌈Tím jsi nad sebou sám vynesl rozsudek.⌉
I Ki CzeBKR 20:40  V tom když služebník tvůj toho i onoho hleděl, tožť se ztratil. Pročež řekl jemu král Izraelský: Takový buď soud tvůj, jakýž jsi sám vypověděl.
I Ki Webster 20:40  And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said to him, So [shall] thy judgment [be]; thyself hast decided [it].

I Ki VulgClem 20:40  Dum autem ego turbatus huc illucque me verterem, subito non comparuit.
I Ki DRC 20:41  But he forthwith wiped off the dust from his face, and the king of Israel knew him, that he was one of the prophets.
I Ki KJV 20:41  And he hasted, and took the ashes away from his face; and the king of Israel discerned him that he was of the prophets.
I Ki Webster 20:41  And he hasted, and took the ashes away from his face; and the king of Israel discerned him that he [was] of the prophets.
I Ki NHEB 20:41  He hurried, and took the headband away from his eyes; and the king of Israel recognized that he was of the prophets.
I Ki AKJV 20:41  And he hurried, and took the ashes away from his face; and the king of Israel discerned him that he was of the prophets.
