3:1  These are the nations which the Lord left, that by them he might instruct Israel, and all that had not known the wars of the Chanaanites:

3:12  Izraelci se dále dopouštěli toho, co je zlé v Hospodinových očích. Proto Hospodin dopustil, aby moábský král Eglón nabyl nad Izraelem vrchu, neboť se dopouštěli toho, co je zlé v Hospodinových očích.

3:15  Potom volali synové Izraelští k Hospodinu. I vzbudil jim Hospodin vysvoboditele Ahoda, syna Gery Beniaminského, muže rukou pravou nevládnoucího. I poslali synové Izraelští po něm dar Eglonovi králi Moábskému.

3:16  And he made himself a two-edged sword, with a haft in the midst of the length of the palm of the hand, and was girded therewith, under his garment, on the right thigh.
