23:1  And Paul, looking upon the council, said: Men, brethren, I have conversed with all good conscience before God until this present day.

23:3  Na to se Pavel k němu obrátil a řekl: „Tebe bude bít Bůh, ty obílená stěno. Sedíš zde, abys mě soudil podle Zákona, a proti Zákonu rozkazuješ, aby mě bili?“

23:3  Pavel mu odpověděl: „Tebe bude bít Bůh, ty zbílená stěno! Sedíš tu, abys mě soudil podle Zákona, a proti Zákonu mě nařizuješ bít?!“

23:3  Pavel mu řekl: „Tebe bude bít Bůh, ty obílená stěno. Ty zde sedíš, abys mě soudil podle Zákona, a proti Zákonu poroučíš, abych byl bit?“

23:3  Pavel pak řekl jemu: Budeť tebe bíti Bůh, stěno zbílená. A ty sedíš, soudě mne vedlé zákona, a proti zákonu velíš mne bíti.

23:6  Protože Pavel věděl, že jedna část rady patří k saduceům a druhá k farizeům, zvolal: „Bratří, já jsem farizeus, syn farizeův. Jsem souzen pro naději ve zmrtvýchvstání.“

23:9  And there arose a great cry: and the scribes [that were] of the Pharisees' part arose, and contended, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
