Chapter 38
Exod DRC 38:1  He made also the altar of holocaust of setim wood, five cubits square, and three in height:
Exod KJV 38:1  And he made the altar of burnt offering of shittim wood: five cubits was the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof; it was foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof.

Exod DRC 38:2  The horns whereof went out from the corners, and he overlaid it with plates of brass.
Exod KJV 38:2  And he made the horns thereof on the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass.
Exod VulgClem 38:2  cujus cornua de angulis procedebant, operuitque illum laminis æneis.
Exod DRC 38:3  And for the uses thereof, he prepared divers vessels of brass, cauldrons, tongs, fleshhooks, pothooks and firepans.
Exod KJV 38:3  And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the basons, and the fleshhooks, and the firepans: all the vessels thereof made he of brass.
Exod VulgClem 38:3  Et in usus ejus paravit ex ære vasa diversa, lebetes, forcipes, fuscinulas, uncinos, et ignium receptacula.
Exod DRC 38:4  And he made the grate thereof of brass, in manner of a net, and under it in the midst of the altar a hearth,
Exod KJV 38:4  And he made for the altar a brasen grate of network under the compass thereof beneath unto the midst of it.
Exod VulgClem 38:4  Craticulamque ejus in modum retis fecit æneam, et subter eam in altaris medio arulam,
Exod DRC 38:5  Casting four rings at the four ends of the net at the top, to put in bars to carry it:
Exod KJV 38:5  And he cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of brass, to be places for the staves.
Exod VulgClem 38:5  fusis quatuor annulis per totidem retiaculi summitates, ad immittendos vectes ad portandum :
Exod DRC 38:6  And he made the bars of setim wood, and overlaid them with plates of brass:
Exod KJV 38:6  And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with brass.
Exod VulgClem 38:6  quos et ipsos fecit de lignis setim, et operuit laminis æneis :
Exod DRC 38:7  And he drew them through the rings that stood out in the sides of the altar. And the altar itself was not solid, but hollow, of boards, and empty within.
Exod KJV 38:7  And he put the staves into the rings on the sides of the altar, to bear it withal; he made the altar hollow with boards.
Exod VulgClem 38:7  induxitque in circulos, qui in lateribus altaris eminebant. Ipsum autem altare non erat solidum, sed cavum ex tabulis, et intus vacuum.
Exod DRC 38:8  He made also the laver of brass, with the foot thereof, of the mirrors of the women that watched at the door of the tabernacle.
Exod KJV 38:8  And he made the laver of brass, and the foot of it of brass, of the lookingglasses of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Exod VulgClem 38:8  Fecit et labrum æneum cum basi sua de speculis mulierum, quæ excubabant in ostio tabernaculi.
Exod DRC 38:9  He made also the court, in the south side whereof were hangings of fine twisted linen of a hundred cubits.
Exod KJV 38:9  And he made the court: on the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, an hundred cubits:
Exod VulgClem 38:9  Fecit et atrium, in cujus australi plaga erant tentoria de bysso retorta, cubitorum centum,
Exod DRC 38:10  Twenty pillars of brass with their sockets, the heads of the pillars, and the whole graving of the work, of silver.
Exod KJV 38:10  Their pillars were twenty, and their brasen sockets twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver.
Exod VulgClem 38:10  columnæ æneæ viginti cum basibus suis, capita columnarum, et tota operis cælatura, argentea.
Exod DRC 38:11  In like manner at the north side the hangings, the pillars, and the sockets and heads of the pillars were of the same measure, and work and metal.
Exod KJV 38:11  And for the north side the hangings were an hundred cubits, their pillars were twenty, and their sockets of brass twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.
Exod VulgClem 38:11  Æque ad septentrionalem plagam tentoria columnæ, basesque et capita columnarum ejusdem mensuræ, et operis ac metalli, erant.
Exod DRC 38:12  But on that side that looketh to the west, there were hangings of fifty cubits, ten pillars of brass with their sockets, and the heads of the pillars, and all the graving of the work, of silver.
Exod KJV 38:12  And for the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.
Exod VulgClem 38:12  In ea vero plaga, quæ ad occidentem respicit, fuerunt tentoria cubitorum quinquaginta, columnæ decem cum basibus suis æneæ, et capita columnarum, et tota operis cælatura, argentea.
Exod DRC 38:13  Moreover, towards the east he prepared hangings of fifty cubits:
Exod KJV 38:13  And for the east side eastward fifty cubits.
Exod VulgClem 38:13  Porro contra orientem quinquaginta cubitorum paravit tentoria :
Exod DRC 38:14  Fifteen cubits of which, were on one side with three pillars, and their sockets:
Exod KJV 38:14  The hangings of the one side of the gate were fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three.
Exod VulgClem 38:14  e quibus, quindecim cubitos columnarum trium, cum basibus suis, unum tenebat latus :
Exod DRC 38:15  And on the other side (for between the two he made the entry of the tabernacle) there were hangings equally of fifteen cubits, and three pillars, and as many sockets.
Exod KJV 38:15  And for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three.
Exod VulgClem 38:15  et in parte altera (quia inter utraque introitum tabernaculi fecit) quindecim æque cubitorum erant tentoria, columnæque tres, et bases totidem.
Exod DRC 38:16  All the hangings of the court were woven with twisted linen.
Exod KJV 38:16  All the hangings of the court round about were of fine twined linen.
Exod VulgClem 38:16  Cuncta atrii tentoria byssus retorta texuerat.
Exod DRC 38:17  The sockets of the pillars were of brass, and their heads with all their gravings of silver: and he overlaid the pillars of the court also with silver.
Exod KJV 38:17  And the sockets for the pillars were of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver; and the overlaying of their chapiters of silver; and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver.
Exod VulgClem 38:17  Bases columnarum fuere æneæ, capita autem earum cum cunctis cælaturis suis argentea : sed et ipsas columnas atrii vestivit argento.
Exod DRC 38:18  And he made in the entry thereof an embroidered hanging of violet, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, that was twenty cubits long, and five cubits high, according to the measure of all the hangings of the court.
Exod KJV 38:18  And the hanging for the gate of the court was needlework, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: and twenty cubits was the length, and the height in the breadth was five cubits, answerable to the hangings of the court.
Exod VulgClem 38:18  Et in introitu ejus opere plumario fecit tentorium ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo, ac bysso retorta, quod habebat viginti cubitos in longitudine, altitudo vero quinque cubitorum erat juxta mensuram, quam cuncta atrii tentoria habebant.
Exod DRC 38:19  And the pillars in the entry were four, with sockets of brass, and their heads and gravings of silver.
Exod KJV 38:19  And their pillars were four, and their sockets of brass four; their hooks of silver, and the overlaying of their chapiters and their fillets of silver.
Exod VulgClem 38:19  Columnæ autem in ingressu fuere quatuor cum basibus æneis, capitaque earum et cælaturæ argenteæ.
Exod DRC 38:20  The pins also of the tabernacle and of the court round about he made of brass.
Exod KJV 38:20  And all the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court round about, were of brass.
Exod VulgClem 38:20  Paxillos quoque tabernaculi et atrii per gyrum fecit æneos.
Exod DRC 38:21  These are the instruments of the tabernacle of the testimony, which were counted according to the commandment of Moses, in the ceremonies of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest:
Exod KJV 38:21  This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest.
Exod VulgClem 38:21  Hæc sunt instrumenta tabernaculi testimonii, quæ enumerata sunt juxta præceptum Moysi in cæremoniis Levitarum per manum Ithamar filii Aaron sacerdotis :
Exod DRC 38:22  Which Beseleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur of the tribe of Juda, had made, as the Lord commanded by Moses.
Exod KJV 38:22  And Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the Lord commanded Moses.
Exod VulgClem 38:22  quæ Beseleel filius Uri filii Hur de tribu Juda, Domino per Moysen jubente, compleverat,
Exod DRC 38:23  Having for his companion Ooliab, the son of Achisamech, of the tribe of Dan: who also was an excellent artificer in wood, and worker in tapestry and embroidery in violet, purple, scarlet, and fine linen.
Exod KJV 38:23  And with him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, and a cunning workman, and an embroiderer in blue, and in purple, and in scarlet, and fine linen.
Exod VulgClem 38:23  juncto sibi socio Ooliab filio Achisamech de tribu Dan : qui et ipse artifex lignorum egregius fuit, et polymitarius atque plumarius ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo et bysso.
Exod DRC 38:24  All the gold that was spent in the work of the sanctuary, and that was offered in gifts, was nine and twenty talents, and seven hundred and thirty sicles according to the standard of the sanctuary.
Exod KJV 38:24  All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place, even the gold of the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary.
Exod VulgClem 38:24  Omne aurum quod expensum est in opere sanctuarii, et quod oblatum est in donariis, viginti novem talentorum fuit, et septingentorum triginta siclorum ad mensuram sanctuarii.
Exod DRC 38:25  And it was offered by them that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upwards, of six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men able to bear arms.
Exod KJV 38:25  And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was an hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and threescore and fifteen shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:
Exod VulgClem 38:25  Oblatum est autem ab his qui transierunt ad numerum a viginti annis et supra, de sexcentis tribus millibus et quingentis quinquaginta armatorum.
Exod DRC 38:26  There were moreover a hundred talents of silver, whereof were cast the sockets of the sanctuary, and of the entry where the veil hangeth.
Exod KJV 38:26  A bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.
Exod VulgClem 38:26  Fuerunt præterea centum talenta argenti e quibus conflatæ sunt bases sanctuarii, et introitus, ubi velum pendet.
Exod DRC 38:27  A hundred sockets were made of a hundred talents, one talent being reckoned for every socket.
Exod KJV 38:27  And of the hundred talents of silver were cast the sockets of the sanctuary, and the sockets of the vail; an hundred sockets of the hundred talents, a talent for a socket.
Exod VulgClem 38:27  Centum bases factæ sunt de talentis centum, singulis talentis per bases singulas supputatis.
Exod DRC 38:28  And of the thousand seven hundred and seventy-five he made the heads of the pillars, which also he overlaid with silver.
Exod KJV 38:28  And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their chapiters, and filleted them.
Exod VulgClem 38:28  De mille autem septingentis et septuaginta quinque, fecit capita columnarum, quas et ipsas vestivit argento.
Exod DRC 38:29  And there were offered of brass also seventy-two thousand talents, and four hundred sicles besides,
Exod KJV 38:29  And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels.
Exod VulgClem 38:29  Æris quoque oblata sunt talenta septuaginta duo millia, et quadringenti supra sicli,
Exod DRC 38:30  Of which were cast the sockets in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony, and the altar of brass with the grate thereof, and also the vessels that belong to the use thereof.
Exod KJV 38:30  And therewith he made the sockets to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the brasen altar, and the brasen grate for it, and all the vessels of the altar,
Exod VulgClem 38:30  ex quibus fusæ sunt bases in introitu tabernaculi testimonii, et altare æneum cum craticula sua, omniaque vasa quæ ad usum ejus pertinent,
Exod DRC 38:31  And the sockets of the court as well round about as in the entry thereof, and the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court round about.
Exod KJV 38:31  And the sockets of the court round about, and the sockets of the court gate, and all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about.
Exod VulgClem 38:31  et bases atrii tam in circuitu quam in ingressu ejus, et paxilli tabernaculi atque atrii per gyrum.
