6:1  And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord: and he delivered them into the hand of Madian seven years,

6:1  Synové Izraele se dále dopouštěli toho, co je zlé v Hospodinových očích. Proto je Hospodin vydal na sedm let do rukou Midjánců.

6:10  And I said: I am the Lord your God, fear not the gods of the Amorrhites, in whose land you dwell. And you would not hear my voice.

6:11  And an angel of the Lord came, and sat under an oak that was in Ephra, and belonged to Joas, the father of the family of Ezri. And when Gedeon, his son, was threshing and cleansing wheat by the winepress, to flee from Madian,

6:11  And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi–ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

6:11  I přišel Hospodinův posel a posadil se v Ofře pod posvátným stromem, který náležel Jóašovi Abíezerskému; jeho syn Gedeón mlátil pšenici v lisu, aby s ní utekl před Midjánci.

6:12  The angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said: The Lord is with thee, O most valiant of men.

6:13  And Gedeon said to him: I beseech thee, my lord, if the Lord be with us, why have these evils fallen upon us? Where are his miracles, which our fathers have told us of, saying: The Lord brought us out of Egypt but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hand of Madian.

6:13  And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

6:13  Gedeón mu odpověděl: „Dovol, můj pane, je-li s námi Hospodin, proč nás tohle všechno potkává? Kde jsou všechny jeho podivuhodné činy, o nichž nám vypravovali naši otcové? Říkali: ‚Což nás Hospodin nevyvedl z Egypta?‘ Ale teď nás Hospodin zavrhl a vydal do rukou Midjánců.“

6:13  Gedeon mu odpověděl: „Promiň, pane, ale jestli je Hospodin s námi, proč nás tohle všechno potkalo? Kde jsou všechny ty jeho divy, o kterých nám vyprávěli naši otcové? Prý: ‚Hospodin nás přece vyvedl z Egypta‘ – jenže teď nás Hospodin opustil a nechal nás v hrsti Midiánců!“

6:13  Nato mu Gedeón odpověděl: Dovol, můj pane, pokud je Hospodin s námi, proč nás potom postihlo toto všechno a kde jsou všechny jeho obdivuhodné činy, o kterých nám vyprávěli naši otcové, když říkali: Cožpak nás Hospodin nevyvedl z Egypta? Jenže teď nás Hospodin opustil a vydal nás do ruky Midjánců.

6:13  Odpověděl jemu Gedeon: Ó Pane můj, jestliže Hospodin s námi jest, pročež pak na nás přišlo všecko toto? A kde jsou všickni divové jeho, o kterýchž vypravovali nám otcové naši, řkouce: Zdaliž nás z Egypta nevyvedl Hospodin? A nyní opustil nás Hospodin a vydal v ruku Madianských.

6:13  And Gideon said to him, O my Lord, if the LORD is with us, why then hath all this befallen us? and where [are] all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

6:13  Gideon said to him, "Oh, my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? Where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, 'Didn't the Lord bring us up from Egypt?' But now the Lord has cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian."

6:13  And Gideon said to him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD has forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

6:13  Dixitque ei Gedeon : Obsecro, mi domine, si Dominus nobiscum est, cur apprehenderunt nos hæc omnia ? ubi sunt mirabilia ejus, quæ narraverunt patres nostri, atque dixerunt : De Ægypto eduxit nos Dominus ? nunc autem dereliquit nos Dominus, et tradidit in manu Madian.

6:14  And the Lord looked upon him, and said: Go, in this thy strength, and thou shalt deliver Israel out of the hand of Madian: know that I have sent thee.

6:14  And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

6:14  Hospodin se k němu obrátil a pravil: „Jdi v této své síle a vysvobodíš Izraele z rukou Midjánců. Hle, já tě posílám.“

6:14  Tu se k němu Hospodin obrátil a pravil: „Jdi v této své síle a zachráníš Izrael z hrsti Midiánců. Já sám tě přece posílám!“

6:14  Hospodin se k němu obrátil a řekl: Jdi v této své síle a zachráníš Izrael z ruky Midjánců. Což jsem tě neposlal?

6:14  A pohleděv na něj Hospodin, řekl: Jdi v této síle své, a vysvobodíš Izraele z ruky Madianských. Zdaliž jsem tě neposlal?

6:14  And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

6:14  The Lord looked at him, and said, "Go in this your might, and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Haven't I sent you?"

6:14  And the LORD looked on him, and said, Go in this your might, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent you?

6:14  Respexitque ad eum Dominus, et ait : Vade in hac fortitudine tua, et liberabis Israël de manu Madian : scito quod miserim te.

6:15  He answered, and said: I beseech thee, my lord wherewith shall I deliver Israel? Behold, my family is the meanest in Manasses, and I am the least in my father's house.

6:15  And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

6:15  On mu však namítl: „Dovol prosím, Panovníku, jak bych mohl Izraele vysvobodit? Můj rod je v Manasesovi nejslabší a já jsem v otcovském domě nejnepatrnější.“

6:15  On však namítl: „Promiň, Pane, ale jak mám zachránit Izrael? Můj rod je v Manasesovi nejubožejší a já sám jsem v rodném domě poslední.“

6:15  On se ho zeptal: Dovol, Panovníku, čím zachráním Izrael? Vždyť můj rod je v Manasesovi nejslabší a já jsem ten nejmenší v domě svého otce.

6:15  Kterýž odpověděl jemu: Poslyš mne, Pane můj, čím já vysvobodím Izraele? Hle, rod můj chaterný jest v pokolení Manassesovu, a já nejmenší v domě otce svého.

6:15  And he said to him, O my Lord, by what means shall I save Israel? behold, my family [is] poor in Manasseh, and I [am] the least in my father's house.

6:15  He said to him, "O Lord, how shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house."

6:15  And he said to him, Oh my Lord, with which shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.

6:15  Qui respondens ait : Obsecro, mi domine, in quo liberabo Israël ? ecce familia mea infima est in Manasse, et ego minimus in domo patris mei.

6:16  And the Lord said to him: I will be with thee: and thou shalt cut off Madian as one man.

6:16  And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

6:16  Ale Hospodin mu řekl: „Protože já budu s tebou, pobiješ Midjánce jako jediného muže.“

6:16  And the LORD said to him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

6:16  And the LORD said to him, Surely I will be with you, and you shall smite the Midianites as one man.

6:26  And thou shalt build un altar to the Lord thy God, in the top of this rock, whereupon thou didst lay the sacrifice before: and thou shalt take the second bullock, and shalt offer a holocaust upon a pile of the wood, which thou shalt cut down out of the grove.

6:26  A vzděláš oltář Hospodinu Bohu svému na vrchu skály této, na rovině její, a vezma volka toho druhého, obětovati budeš obět zápalnou s dřívím háje, kterýž posekáš.

6:26  And build an altar to the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt-sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.

6:27  Then Gedeon, taking ten men of his servants, did as the Lord had commanded him. But fearing his father's house, and the men of that city, he would not do it by day, but did all by night.

6:28  Za časného jitra mužové města vstali, a hle, Baalův oltář byl rozbořen, posvátný kůl, který byl u něho, byl skácen a druhý býk byl obětován na zbudovaném oltáři.

6:31  And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.

6:31  Joaš ale odpověděl zástupu kolem něj: „Co že vy chcete hájit Baala? Že byste ho vy mohli zachránit? Kdokoli ho bude hájit, do rána zemře! Je-li to bůh, ať se hájí sám, když mu někdo zboří oltář.“

6:31  Ale Jóaš odpověděl všem, kteří se proti němu postavili: Cožpak vy ⌈povedete při za⌉ Baala? Vy ho snad budete zachraňovat? Kdo za něho povede při, bude do rána usmrcen. Jestliže on je bůh, povede při za sebe; strhl přece jeho oltář.

6:31  Odpověděl Joas všechněm stojícím před sebou: A což se vy nesnadniti chcete o Bále? Zdali vy jej vysvobodíte? Kdož by se zasazoval o něj, ať jest zabit hned jitra tohoto. Jestližeť jest bohem, nechať se sám zasazuje o to, že jest rozbořen oltář jeho.

6:31  And Joash said to all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst [it is yet] morning: if he [is] a god, let him plead for himself, because [one] hath cast down his altar.
