Chapter 136
Psal DRC 136:1  Upon the rivers of Babylon, there we sat and wept: when we remembered Sion:
Psal VulgClem 136:1  Psalmus David, Jeremiæ. Super flumina Babylonis illic sedimus et flevimus, cum recordaremur Sion.
Psal KJV 136:1  O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psal DRC 136:2  On the willows in the midst thereof we hung up our instruments.
Psal VulgClem 136:2  In salicibus in medio ejus suspendimus organa nostra :
Psal KJV 136:2  O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psal DRC 136:3  For there they that led us into captivity required of us the words of songs. And they that carried us away, said: Sing ye to us a hymn of the songs of Sion.
Psal VulgClem 136:3  quia illic interrogaverunt nos, qui captivos duxerunt nos, verba cantionum ; et qui abduxerunt nos : Hymnum cantate nobis de canticis Sion.
Psal KJV 136:3  O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psal DRC 136:4  How shall we sing the song of the Lord in a strange land?
Psal VulgClem 136:4  Quomodo cantabimus canticum Domini in terra aliena ?
Psal KJV 136:4  To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psal DRC 136:5  If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand be forgotten.
Psal VulgClem 136:5  Si oblitus fuero tui, Jerusalem, oblivioni detur dextera mea.
Psal KJV 136:5  To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psal DRC 136:6  Let my tongue cleave to my jaws, if I do not remember thee: If I make not Jerusalem the beginning of my joy.
Psal VulgClem 136:6  Adhæreat lingua mea faucibus meis, si non meminero tui ; si non proposuero Jerusalem in principio lætitiæ meæ.
Psal KJV 136:6  To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psal DRC 136:7  Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom, in the day of Jerusalem: Who say: Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
Psal VulgClem 136:7  Memor esto, Domine, filiorum Edom, in die Jerusalem : qui dicunt : Exinanite, exinanite usque ad fundamentum in ea.
Psal KJV 136:7  To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Psal DRC 136:8  O daughter of Babylon, miserable: blessed shall he be who shall repay thee thy payment which thou hast paid us.
