Chapter 4
I Ki DRC 4:1  And king Solomon reigned over all Israel:

I Ki KJV 4:1  So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
I Ki DRC 4:2  And these were the princes which he had: Azarias, the son of Sadoc, the priest:

I Ki KJV 4:4  And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
I Ki DRC 4:5  Azarias, the son of Nathan, over them that were about the king: Zabud, the son of Nathan, the priest, the king's friend:

I Ki KJV 4:5  And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:

I Ki DRC 4:7  And Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel, who provided victuals for the king and for his house hold: for every one provided necessaries, each man his month in the year.
I Ki VulgClem 4:7  Habebat autem Salomon duodecim præfectos super omnem Israël, qui præbebant annonam regi et domui ejus : per singulos enim menses in anno, singuli necessaria ministrabant.
I Ki KJV 4:7  And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

I Ki KJV 4:11  The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
I Ki DRC 4:12  Bana, the son of Ahilud, who governed Thanac, and Mageddo, and all Bethsan, which is by Sarthana, beneath Jezrael, from Bethsan unto Abelmehula, over against Jecmaan.

I Ki KJV 4:12  Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
I Ki DRC 4:13  Bengaber, in Ramoth Galaad: he had the town of Jair, the son of Manasses, in Galaad: he was chief in all the country of Argob, which is in Basan, threescore great cities with walls, and brazen bolts.

I Ki KJV 4:13  The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
I Ki DRC 4:14  Ahinadab, the son of Addo, was chief in Manaim.

I Ki DRC 4:15  Achimaas, in Nephthali: he also had Basemath, the daughter of Solomon, to wife.

I Ki DRC 4:19  Gaber, the son of Uri, in the land of Galaad, in the land of Sehon, the king of the Amorrhites, and of Og, the king of Basan, over all that were in that land.

I Ki KJV 4:19  Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
I Ki DRC 4:20  Juda and Israel were innumerable, as the sand of the sea in multitude; eating and drinking, and rejoicing.

I Ki DRC 4:21  And Solomon had under him all the kingdoms, from the river to the land of the Philistines, even to the border of Egypt: and they brought him presents, and served him all the days of his life.

I Ki DRC 4:23  Ten fat oxen, and twenty out of the pastures, and a hundred rams; besides venison of harts, roes, and buffles, and fatted fowls.

I Ki DRC 4:24  For he had all the country which was beyond the river, from Thaphsa to Gazan, and all the kings of those countries: and he had peace on every side round about.
I Ki VulgClem 4:24  Ipse enim obtinebat omnem regionem quæ erat trans flumen, a Thaphsa usque ad Gazan, et cunctos reges illarum regionum : et habebat pacem ex omni parte in circuitu.
I Ki KJV 4:24  For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
I Ki DRC 4:25  And Juda, and Israel, dwelt without any fear, every one under his vine, and under his fig tree, from Dan to Bersabee, all the days of Solomon.

I Ki KJV 4:25  And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.
I Ki DRC 4:26  And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of chariot horses, and twelve thousand for the saddle.

I Ki KJV 4:26  And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
I Ki DRC 4:27  And the foresaid governors of the king fed them; and they furnished the necessaries also for king Solomon's table, with great care, in their time.

I Ki KJV 4:27  And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
I Ki DRC 4:28  They brought barley also, and straw for the horses and beasts, to the place where the king was, according as it was appointed them.

I Ki DRC 4:29  And God gave to Solomon wisdom, and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, as the sand that is on the sea shore.
I Ki VulgClem 4:29  Dedit quoque Deus sapientiam Salomoni, et prudentiam multam nimis, et latitudinem cordis quasi arenam quæ est in littore maris.
I Ki KJV 4:29  And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
I Ki DRC 4:30  And the wisdom of Solomon surpassed the wisdom of all the Orientals, and of the Egyptians;
I Ki VulgClem 4:30  Et præcedebat sapientia Salomonis sapientiam omnium Orientalium et Ægyptiorum,
I Ki KJV 4:30  And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
I Ki DRC 4:31  And he was wiser than all men: wiser than Ethan, the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Dorda, the sons of Mahol, and he was renowned in all nations round about.

I Ki KJV 4:31  For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
I Ki DRC 4:32  Solomon also spoke three thousand parables: and his poems were a thousand and five.

I Ki DRC 4:33  And he treated about trees, from the cedar that is in Libanus, unto the hyssop that cometh out of the wall: and he discoursed of beasts, and of fowls, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

I Ki KJV 4:33  And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
I Ki DRC 4:34  And they came from all nations to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who heard of his wisdom.

I Ki KJV 4:34  And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
