Numb KJV 13:18  And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
Numb DRC 13:19  View the land, of what sort it is, and the people that are the inhabitants thereof, whether they be strong or weak: few in number or many:
Numb KJV 13:19  And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
Numb VulgClem 13:19  considerate terram, qualis sit : et populum qui habitator est ejus, utrum fortis sit an infirmus : si pauci numero an plures :
Numb DRC 13:20  The land itself, whether it be good or bad: what manner of cities, walled or without walls:
Numb KJV 13:20  And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.

Numb VulgClem 13:21  humus, pinguis an sterilis, nemorosa an absque arboribus. Confortamini, et afferte nobis de fructibus terræ. Erat autem tempus quando jam præcoquæ uvæ vesci possunt.

Numb KJV 13:22  And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)

Numb DRC 13:24  And forward as far as the torrent of the cluster of grapes, they cut off a branch with its cluster of grapes, which two men carried upon a lever. They took also of the pomegranates and of the figs of that place:
Numb KJV 13:24  The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
Numb VulgClem 13:24  Pergentesque usque ad Torrentem botri, absciderunt palmitem cum uva sua, quem portaverunt in vecte duo viri.
Numb DRC 13:25  Which was called Nehelescol, that is to say, the torrent of the cluster of grapes, because from thence the children of Israel had carried a cluster of grapes.
Numb KJV 13:25  And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.

Numb DRC 13:28  And they related and said: We came into the land to which thou sentest us, which in very deed floweth with milk and honey as may be known by these fruits:
Numb KJV 13:28  Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
Numb DRC 13:29  But it hath very strong inhabitants, and the cities are great and walled. We saw there the race of Enac.
Numb KJV 13:29  The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
Stirpem Enac vidimus ibi.
Numb DRC 13:30  Amalec dwelleth in the south, the Hethite and the Jebusite and the Amorrhite in the mountains: but the Chanaanite abideth by the sea and near the streams of the Jordan.
Numb KJV 13:30  And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Numb VulgClem 13:30  Amalec habitat in meridie, Hethæus et Jebusæus et Amorrhæus in montanis : Chananæus vero moratur juxta mare et circa fluenta Jordanis.
Numb DRC 13:31  In the mean time Caleb, to still the murmuring of the people that rose against Moses, said: Let us go up and possess the land, for we shall be able to conquer it.
Numb KJV 13:31  But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
Numb VulgClem 13:31  Inter hæc Caleb compescens murmur populi, qui oriebatur contra Moysen, ait : Ascendamus, et possideamus terram, quoniam poterimus obtinere eam.
Numb DRC 13:32  But the others, that had been with him, said: No, we are not able to go up to this people, because they are stronger than we.
Numb KJV 13:32  And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
Numb DRC 13:33  And they spoke ill of the land, which they had viewed, before the children of Israel, saying: The land which we have viewed, devoureth its inhabitants: the people, that we beheld are of a tall stature.
Numb KJV 13:33  And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Numb VulgClem 13:33  Detraxeruntque terræ, quam inspexerant, apud filios Israël, dicentes : Terra, quam lustravimus, devorat habitatores suos : populus, quem aspeximus, proceræ staturæ est.
Numb DRC 13:34  There we saw certain monsters of the sons of Enac, of the giant kind: in comparison of whom, we seemed like locusts.
Numb KJV 13:34
Numb VulgClem 13:34  Ibi vidimus monstra quædam filiorum Enac de genere giganteo : quibus comparati, quasi locustæ videbamur.
