MARK
Chapter 11
Mark | RKJNT | 11:1 | And when they came near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sent forth two of his disciples,
Mark | RKJNT | 11:2 | And said to them, Go into the village opposite you: as soon as you enter it, you shall find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat; untie it and bring it here.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:3 | And if any man says to you, What are you doing? say that the Lord has need of it; and will send it back immediately.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:4 | And they went their way, and found the colt tied outside in the street by a door; and they untied it.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:5 | And some of those who stood there said to them, What are you doing, untying the colt?
Mark | RKJNT | 11:7 | And they brought the colt to Jesus, and threw their garments on it; and he sat upon it.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:8 | And many spread their garments on the road: and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:9 | And those who went ahead, and those who followed, cried out, Hosanna; Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord:
Mark | RKJNT | 11:11 | And Jesus entered Jerusalem, and went into the temple: and when he looked around at everything, he went out to Bethany with the twelve, since evening had come.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:13 | And seeing a fig tree far off with leaves, he went to it, to see if he might find something on it: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season for figs.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:14 | And Jesus said to it, May no man ever eat fruit from you again. And his disciples heard it.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:15 | And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold doves;
Mark | RKJNT | 11:17 | And he taught, saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations? but you have made it a den of robbers.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:18 | And the scribes and chief priests heard this, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people were astonished at his teaching.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:20 | And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:21 | And Peter remembered and said to him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which you cursed has withered away.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:23 | For truly I say to you, That whoever shall say to this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he says.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:24 | Therefore I say to you, Whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:25 | And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone: that your Father who is in heaven may also forgive your trespasses.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:26 | [But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.]
Mark | RKJNT | 11:27 | And they came again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders came to him,
Mark | RKJNT | 11:28 | And said to him, By what authority do you do these things? and who gave you this authority to do these things?
Mark | RKJNT | 11:29 | And Jesus answered them, I will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Mark | RKJNT | 11:31 | And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him?
Mark | RKJNT | 11:32 | But if we shall say, From men; they feared the people: for all held that John was indeed a prophet.
