RKJNT - Mark - 13

13:1  And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, Teacher, see what wonderful stones and buildings!

13:2  Jesus said to him, Do you see these great buildings? there shall not be one stone left upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

13:3  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives across from the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

13:4  Tell us, when shall these things be? and what will be the sign that all these things are about to be fulfilled?

13:5  And Jesus said to them, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

13:6  For many will come in my name, saying, I am he; and shall deceive many.

13:7  And when you hear of wars and rumours of wars, do not be troubled: for such things must happen; but the end is not yet.

13:8  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in various places, and there shall be famines: these are the beginnings of birth pains.

13:9  But take heed for yourselves: for they will deliver you up to councils; and you shall be beaten in the synagogues: and you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them.

13:10  And the gospel must first be preached among all nations.

13:11  But when they bring you to trial, do not worry about what you shall say: but whatever is given to you in that hour, speak that: for it is not you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit.

13:12  Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

13:13  And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he who endures to the end shall be saved.

13:14  When you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be, (let him who reads understand,) then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains:

13:15  And let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter it to take anything out of his house:

13:16  And let him who is in the field not turn back again for his cloak.

13:17  But woe to those who are with child, and to those who are nursing infants in those days!

13:18  Pray that your flight may not be in the winter.

13:19  For in those days there shall be affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of God's creation to this time, nor ever shall be again.

13:20  And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no one would be saved: but for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened the days.

13:21  And then if any man says to you, Lo, here is the Christ; or, lo, there he is; do not believe him:

13:22  For false Christs and false prophets shall arise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

13:23  But take heed: behold, I have told you all things in advance.

13:24  But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

13:25  And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

13:26  And then they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

13:27  And then he shall send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the remotest part of the earth to the remotest part of heaven.

13:28  Now learn a parable from the fig tree; When its branch becomes tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near:

13:29  Even so, when you see these things come to pass, know that it is near, even at the door.

13:30  Truly I say to you, that this generation shall not pass away, until all these things have happened.

13:31  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

13:32  But of that day and that hour no man knows, no, not even the angels which are in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

13:33  Take heed, watch and pray: for you do not know when the time will come.

13:34  It is like a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to each man his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

13:35  Watch therefore: for you do not know when the master of the house comes, at evening, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

13:36  Lest he come suddenly and find you sleeping.

13:37  And what I say to you I say to all, Watch.
