Chapter 10
Mark RKJNT 10:1  And he arose from there, and went into the region of Judaea on the farther side of the Jordan: and the people came to him again; and, as was his custom, he taught them.
Mark RKJNT 10:2  And the Pharisees came to him, and tested him, asking, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife?
Mark RKJNT 10:3  And he answered and said to them, What did Moses command you?
Mark RKJNT 10:4  And they said, Moses allowed a man to write a bill of divorce, and to put her away.
Mark RKJNT 10:5  Jesus answered and said to them, Because of the hardness of your hearts he wrote you this commandment.
Mark RKJNT 10:6  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
Mark RKJNT 10:7  For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and be joined to his wife;
Mark RKJNT 10:8  And the two shall be one flesh: so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Mark RKJNT 10:9  Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate.
Mark RKJNT 10:10  And in the house his disciples asked him again about the matter.
Mark RKJNT 10:11  And he said to them, Whoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her.
Mark RKJNT 10:12  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she commits adultery.
Mark RKJNT 10:13  And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those who brought them.
Mark RKJNT 10:14  But when Jesus saw it, he was very displeased, and said to them, Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them: for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
Mark RKJNT 10:15  Truly I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall not enter it at all.
Mark RKJNT 10:16  And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
Mark RKJNT 10:17  And when he started forth on his way, a man came running to him, and kneeled before him, and asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
Mark RKJNT 10:18  And Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good? there is no one good but God alone.
Mark RKJNT 10:19  You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour your father and mother.
Mark RKJNT 10:20  And he answered and said to him, Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.
Mark RKJNT 10:21  Then Jesus, beholding him, loved him, and said to him, One thing you lack: go your way, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come follow me.
Mark RKJNT 10:22  And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great wealth.
Mark RKJNT 10:23  And Jesus looked around, and said to his disciples, How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!
Mark RKJNT 10:24  And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answered again, and said to them, Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
Mark RKJNT 10:25  It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
Mark RKJNT 10:26  And they were astonished beyond measure, and said among themselves, Who then can be saved?
Mark RKJNT 10:27  And Jesus looking upon them said, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Mark RKJNT 10:28  Then Peter said to him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed you.
Mark RKJNT 10:29  And Jesus answered and said, Truly I say to you, There is no man who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
Mark RKJNT 10:30  Who shall not receive a hundredfold in this present time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Mark RKJNT 10:31  But many who are first shall be last; and the last first.
Mark RKJNT 10:32  And they were on the way up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And again he took the twelve aside, and began to tell them the things that would happen to him,
Mark RKJNT 10:33  Saying, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and to the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:
Mark RKJNT 10:34  And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
Mark RKJNT 10:35  And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him, saying, Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask.
Mark RKJNT 10:36  And he said to them, What do you want me to do for you?
Mark RKJNT 10:37  They said to him, Grant to us that we may sit, one on your right hand, and the other on your left hand, in your glory.
Mark RKJNT 10:38  But Jesus said to them, You do not know what you are asking: can you drink of the cup that I drink? or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?
Mark RKJNT 10:39  And they said to him, We can. And Jesus said to them, You shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink; and be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized:
Mark RKJNT 10:40  But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to those for whom it is prepared.
Mark RKJNT 10:41  And when the ten heard it, they began to be very displeased with James and John.
Mark RKJNT 10:42  But Jesus called them to him, and said to them, You know that those who are regarded as rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great ones exercise authority over them.
Mark RKJNT 10:43  But it shall not be so among you: but whoever wishes to be great among you, shall be your servant:
Mark RKJNT 10:44  And whoever wants to be the first among you, shall be the slave of all.
Mark RKJNT 10:45  For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Mark RKJNT 10:46  And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway begging.
Mark RKJNT 10:47  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.
Mark RKJNT 10:48  And many commanded him to hold his peace: but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.
Mark RKJNT 10:49  And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, saying to him, Take courage, arise; he calls you.
Mark RKJNT 10:50  And he cast away his cloak, arose, and came to Jesus.
Mark RKJNT 10:51  And Jesus said to him, What do you want that I should do for you? The blind man said to him, Master, I want to receive my sight.
Mark RKJNT 10:52  And Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has made you well. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus along the way.
