Chapter 35
Psal DRC 35:1  Unto the end, for the servant of God, David himself.
Psal VulgClem 35:1  In finem. Servo Domini ipsi David.
Psal KJV 35:1  Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
Psal DRC 35:2  The unjust hath said within himself, that he would sin: there is no fear of God before his eyes.
Psal VulgClem 35:2  Dixit injustus ut delinquat in semetipso : non est timor Dei ante oculos ejus.
Psal KJV 35:2  Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
Psal DRC 35:3  For in his sight he hath done deceitfully, that his iniquity may be found unto hatred.
Psal VulgClem 35:3  Quoniam dolose egit in conspectu ejus, ut inveniatur iniquitas ejus ad odium.
Psal KJV 35:3  Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
Psal DRC 35:4  The words of his mouth are iniquity and guile: he would not understand that he might do well.
Psal VulgClem 35:4  Verba oris ejus iniquitas, et dolus ; noluit intelligere ut bene ageret.
Psal KJV 35:4  Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
Psal DRC 35:5  He hath devised iniquity on his bed, he hath set himself on every way that is not good: but evil he hath not hated.
Psal VulgClem 35:5  Iniquitatem meditatus est in cubili suo ; astitit omni viæ non bonæ : malitiam autem non odivit.
Psal KJV 35:5  Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them.
Psal DRC 35:6  O Lord, thy mercy is in heaven, and thy truth reacheth even to the clouds.
Psal VulgClem 35:6  Domine, in cælo misericordia tua, et veritas tua usque ad nubes.
Psal KJV 35:6  Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them.
Psal DRC 35:7  Thy justice is as the mountains of God, thy judgments are a great deep. Men and beasts thou wilt preserve, O Lord:
Psal VulgClem 35:7  Justitia tua sicut montes Dei ; judicia tua abyssus multa. Homines et jumenta salvabis, Domine,
Psal KJV 35:7  For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.
Psal DRC 35:8  O how hast thou multiplied thy mercy, O God! But the children of men shall put their trust under the cover of thy wings.
Psal VulgClem 35:8  quemadmodum multiplicasti misericordiam tuam, Deus. Filii autem hominum in tegmine alarum tuarum sperabunt.
Psal KJV 35:8  Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
Psal DRC 35:9  They shall be inebriated with the plenty of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the torrent of thy pleasure.
Psal VulgClem 35:9  Inebriabuntur ab ubertate domus tuæ, et torrente voluptatis tuæ potabis eos :
Psal KJV 35:9  And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
Psal DRC 35:10  For with thee is the fountain of life; and in thy light we shall see light.
Psal VulgClem 35:10  quoniam apud te est fons vitæ, et in lumine tuo videbimus lumen.
Psal KJV 35:10  All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
Psal DRC 35:11  Extend thy mercy to them that know thee, and thy justice to them that are right in heart.
Psal VulgClem 35:11  Prætende misericordiam tuam scientibus te, et justitiam tuam his qui recto sunt corde.
Psal KJV 35:11  False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.
Psal DRC 35:12  Let not the foot of pride come to me, and let not the hand of the sinner move me.
Psal VulgClem 35:12  Non veniat mihi pes superbiæ, et manus peccatoris non moveat me.
Psal KJV 35:12  They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.
Psal DRC 35:13  There the workers of iniquity are fallen, they are cast out, and could not stand.
Psal VulgClem 35:13  Ibi ceciderunt qui operantur iniquitatem ; expulsi sunt, nec potuerunt stare.
Psal KJV 35:13  But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

Psal KJV 35:17  Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

Psal KJV 35:18  I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

Psal KJV 35:19  Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

Psal KJV 35:20  For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

Psal KJV 35:21  Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

Psal KJV 35:22  This thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.

Psal KJV 35:23  Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

Psal KJV 35:24  Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

Psal KJV 35:25  Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

Psal KJV 35:26  Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.

Psal KJV 35:27  Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
