21:4  Jestliže mu dal jeho pán ženu, která mu porodila syny nebo dcery, zůstane žena a její děti u svého pána, a on odejde sám.

21:4  If his master hath given him a wife, and she hath borne him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall depart by himself.

21:5  Prohlásí-li otrok výslovně: „Zamiloval jsem si svého pána, svou ženu a syny, nechci odejít jako propuštěnec“,

21:6  His master shall bring him to the gods, and he shall be set to the door and the posts, and he shall bore his ear through with an awl: and he shall be his servant for ever.

21:6  přivede ho jeho pán před Boha, totiž přivede ho ke dveřím nebo k veřejím, probodne mu ucho šídlem a on zůstane provždy jeho otrokem.

21:7  Když někdo prodá svou dceru za otrokyni, nebude s ní nakládáno jako s jinými otroky.

21:7  Když někdo prodá svou dceru jako děvečku, ta pak neodejde na svobodu, jako odcházejí otroci.

21:7  Když někdo prodá svou dceru za otrokyni, neodejde tak, jako odcházejí otroci.

21:7  Když by pak prodal někdo dceru svou, aby byla děvkou, nevyjdeť tak, jako vycházejí služebníci.

21:7  And if a man shall sell his daughter to be a maid-servant, she shall not depart as the men-servants do.

21:7  Si quis vendiderit filiam suam in famulam, non egredietur sicut ancillæ exire consueverunt.

21:8  If she displease the eyes of her master to whom she was delivered, he shall let her go: but he shall have no power to sell her to a foreign nation, if he despise her.

21:8  If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.

21:8  Jestliže se znelíbí svému pánu, který si ji vzal za družku, dovolí ji vyplatit, ale nemá právo prodat ji cizímu lidu a naložit s ní věrolomně.

21:8  Jestliže se znelíbí svému pánu, který si ji vybral, nechá ji vykoupit. Nesmí ji však podvést tím, že by ji prodal cizincům.

21:8  Jestliže se znelíbí svému pánu, který ji určil pro sebe, dovolí ji vykoupit. Cizímu lidu nemá právo ji prodat, protože vůči ní jednal věrolomně.

21:8  Nelíbila-li by se pánu svému, kterýž jí sobě ještě nezasnoubil, dopustí ji vyplatiti. Lidu cizímu nebude míti práva prodati ji, poněvadž zhřešil proti ní.

21:8  If she shall not please her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her to a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.

21:8  If she doesn't please her master, who has married her to himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, seeing he has dealt deceitfully with her.

21:9  And if he hath betrothed her to his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

21:9  Sin autem filio suo desponderit eam, juxta morem filiarum faciet illi.

21:10  And if he take another wife for him, he shall provide her a marriage, and raiment, neither shall he refuse the price of her chastity.

21:10  If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.

21:10  Jestliže on si vezme ještě jinou, nesmí ji zkrátit na stravě, ošacení a manželském právu.

21:10  Jestliže si vezme další ženu, nesmí tu první zkrátit na stravě, oděvu ani na manželském styku.

21:10  Jestliže si přibere jinou, neukrátí ji o maso, oděv ani ⌈manželské právo.⌉

21:10  A dal-li by mu jinou, z stravy její, oděvu jejího, a přívětivosti manželské nic této neujme.

21:10  If he shall take him another [wife]; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage shall he not diminish.

21:11  If he do not these three things, she shall go out free without money.

21:11  And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.

21:11  Jestliže jí nezajistí tyto tři věci, smí ona odejít bez zaplacení výkupného.

21:11  Jestliže jí toto trojí nesplní, bude od něj moci odejít zadarmo, bez výkupného.“

21:11  Jestliže jí nebude plnit tyto tři povinnosti, může odejít bez výkupného, bez placení.

21:11  Neudělal-li by nic z toho trojího, vyjde darmo bez stříbra.

21:11  And if he shall not perform these three to her, then shall she depart free without money.

21:11  If he doesn't do these three things for her, she may go free without paying any money.

21:12  He that striketh a man with a will to kill him, shall be put to death.

21:12  He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.

21:12  Kdo někoho uhodí a ten zemře, musí zemřít.

21:12  „Kdo udeří člověka tak, že zemře, musí zemřít.

21:12  Kdokoliv by někoho udeřil, takže by zemřel, jistě bude usmrcen.

21:12  He that smiteth a man, so that he dieth, shall be surely put to death.

21:13  But he that did not lie in wait for him, but God delivered him into his hands: I will appoint thee a place to which he must flee.

21:13  And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.

21:13  Neměl-li to v úmyslu, ale Bůh dopustil, aby to jeho ruka způsobila, určím ti místo, kam se uteče.

21:13  Pokud mu však neukládal o život, ale Bůh ho vydal do jeho ruky, určím ti místo, kam bude moci utéct.

21:13  Jestliže však na něj nečíhal, ale Bůh dopustil, že padl do jeho ruky, ustanovím ti místo, kam bude moci utéct.

21:13  Když by pak neukládal o bezživotí jeho, než Bůh dal by jej v ruce jeho: tedy uložím tobě místo, do něhož by takový mohl uteci.

21:13  And if a man shall not lie in wait, but God shall deliver [him] into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.

21:13  but not if it is unintentional, but God allows it to happen: then I will appoint you a place where he shall flee.

21:14  If a man kill his neighbour on set purpose, and by lying in wait for him: thou shalt take him away from my altar that he may die.

21:14  But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.

21:14  Když se však někdo opováží lstivě zavraždit svého bližního, vezmeš ho i od mého oltáře, aby zemřel.

21:14  Kdo se opováží úkladně zavraždit svého bližního, takového odtrhneš i od mého oltáře, aby zemřel.

21:14  Jestliže by však někdo jednal zlostně proti svému bližnímu a úkladně ho zabil, odtrhni ho od mého oltáře, aby zemřel.

21:14  Pakli by kdo tak pyšně sobě počínal proti bližnímu svému, že by ho lstivě zabil, i od oltáře mého odtrhneš jej, aby umřel.

21:14  But if a man shall come presumptuously upon his neighbor, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from my altar, that he may die.

21:14  If a man schemes and comes presumptuously on his neighbor to kill him, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.

21:14  Si quis per industriam occiderit proximum suum, et per insidias : ab altari meo evelles eum, ut moriatur.

21:15  He that striketh his father or mother, shall be put to death.

21:16  Kdo někoho ukradne, ať už jej prodá nebo jej u něho naleznou, musí zemřít.

21:18  If men quarrel, and the one strike his neighbour with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed:

21:18  Když se muži dostanou do sporu a jeden druhého uhodí kamenem nebo pěstí, ale on nezemře, nýbrž je upoután na lůžko

21:18  „Když při potyčce jeden muž udeří druhého kamenem nebo pěstí a ten nezemře, ale klesne na lůžko

21:18  Když se budou muži přít a jeden udeří druhého kamenem či pěstí, takže nezemře, ale ulehne do postele,

21:18  Když by se svadili muži, a urazil by který bližního svého kamenem neb pěstí, a ten by neumřel, než složil se na lůži;

21:18  And if men contend together, and one shall smite another with a stone, or with [his] fist, and he shall not die, but keep [his] bed:

21:19  If he rise again and walk abroad upon his staff, he that struck him shall be quit, yet so that he make restitution for his work, and for his expenses upon the physicians.

21:19  If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.

21:19  a zase vstane a může vycházet o holi, bude pachatel bez viny; poskytne pouze náhradu za jeho vyřazení z práce a zajistí mu léčení.

21:19  a potom vstane a bude moci chodit venku o holi, bude ten, kdo ho udeřil, zproštěn trestu. Uhradí mu jen ušlý zisk a náklady na léčení.

21:19  pokud vstane a bude chodit venku o holi, potom ten, kdo udeřil, zůstane bez trestu. Pouze zaplatí odškodné a ⌈úplné vyléčení.⌉

21:19  A potom by povstal a chodil vně o holi své: již nebude vinen ten, kdož urazil; toliko co zatím obmeškal, to jemu nahradí, a na vyhojení jeho naloží.

21:19  If he shall rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote [him] be quit: only he shall pay [for] the loss of his time, and shall cause [him] to be thoroughly healed.

21:19  if he rises again and walks around with his staff, then he who struck him shall be cleared: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall provide for his healing until he is thoroughly healed.

21:20  He that striketh his bondman, or bondwoman, with a rod, and they die under his hands, shall be guilty of the crime.

21:20  And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.

21:20  Jestliže někdo uhodí svého otroka nebo otrokyni holí, takže mu zemřou pod rukou, musí být usmrcený pomstěn.

21:20  Když někdo udeří svého otroka nebo děvečku holí tak, že mu zemře pod rukou, musí být dotyčný pomstěn.

21:20  Když někdo udeří svého otroka či otrokyni holí, takže zemře pod jeho rukou, jistě bude pomstěn.

21:20  And if a man shall smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he shall die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.

21:21  But if the party remain alive a day or two, he shall not be subject to the punishment, because it is his money.

21:22  If men quarrel, and one strike a woman with child and she miscarry indeed, but live herself: he shall be answerable for so much damage as the woman's husband shall require, and as arbiters shall award.

21:22  If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

21:22  Když se muži budou rvát a udeří těhotnou ženu, takže potratí, ale nepřijde o život, musí pachatel zaplatit pokutu, jakou mu uloží muž té ženy; odevzdá ji prostřednictvím rozhodčích.

21:22  Když se budou muži prát a uhodí těhotnou ženu tak, že z ní vyjde plod, ale k dalšímu ublížení nedojde, musí pachatel zaplatit pokutu, jakou mu uloží manžel té ženy; zaplatí podle rozhodnutí soudců.

21:22  Když se budou muži rvát a postihnou těhotnou ženu, takže vyjde její dítě, ale nestane se neštěstí, jistě zaplatí pokutu, jak mu stanoví manžel té ženy; dá, ⌈co bylo určeno.⌉

21:22  Když by se svadili muži, a urazili ženu těhotnou, tak že by vyšel z ní plod její, však by se zhouba nestala: pokutován bude, jakž by uložil naň muž té ženy, a dá vedlé uznání soudců.
