101:1  The prayer of the poor man, when he was anxious, and poured out his supplication before the Lord.

101:1  I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

101:2  I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

101:2  Obezřetně půjdu bezúhonnou cestou. Kdy už ke mně přijdeš? Budu žít v bezúhonnosti srdce ve svém domě:

101:2  Poctivou cestu pečlivě sleduji – kdy už mě navštívíš? Ve vlastním domě chci žít tak, jak srdci velí poctivost.

101:2  Budu ⌈pečlivě dbát na bezúhonnou cestu.⌉ Kdy už ke mně přijdeš? Budu žít ⌈v bezúhonnosti svého srdce⌉ ve svém domě.

101:2  Opatrně se míti budu na cestě přímé, až přijdeš ke mně; choditi budu ustavičně v upřímnosti srdce svého i v domě svém.

101:3  Turn not away thy face from me: in the day when I am in trouble, incline thy ear to me. In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me speedily.

101:3  I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

101:3  Nebude mi vzorem, co ničemník páchá. Nenávidím, co dělají odpadlíci, nepropadnu tomu.

101:3  Nikdy nepřijde před můj zrak žádná hanebnost! Skutky odpadlíků jsou mi odporné, nemám s nimi nic společné.

101:3  ⌈Nekladu si před oči⌉ ničemnosti, nenávidím jednání odpadlíků -- neulpí na mně.

101:3  Nepředstavímť sobě před oči věci nešlechetné; skutek uchylujících se v nenávisti mám, nepřichytíť se mne.

101:4  Zvrácené srdce ať je mi vzdálené, nechci se vyznat v ničem zlém!

101:4  Zvrácené srdce ode mě odstoupí -- zlo neuznávám.

101:4  Srdce převrácené odstoupí ode mne, zlého nebudu oblibovati.

101:4  A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked [person].

101:5  Kdo pomlouvá bližního, toho umlčím. Kdo má pyšné oči a naduté srdce, toho nestrpím.

101:5  Kdo svého bližního tajně pomlouvá, toho umlčím. Povýšené oči a srdce nadutá nikdy nestrpím!

101:5  Kdo tajně pomlouvá svého bližního, toho zničím; člověka povýšených očí a nadutého srdce nebudu snášet.

101:5  Škodícího jazykem bližnímu svému tajně, tohoť vytnu; očí vysokých a mysli naduté nikoli nebudu moci trpěti.

101:5  Whoever privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I cut off: him that hath a high look and a proud heart I will not suffer.

101:5  I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor. I won't tolerate one who is haughty and conceited.

101:6  Through the voice of my groaning, my bone hath cleaved to my flesh.

101:6  Vyhlédnu si v zemi věrné lidi, aby se mnou přebývali. Kdo jde bezúhonnou cestou, ten bude v mých službách.

101:6  Věrné si v celé zemi vyhlížím, takoví u mne budou žít. Poctivou cestou kdo umí jít, takový bude můj služebník.

101:6  Můj zrak spočine na věrných v zemi; budou se mnou přebývat. Kdo chodí bezúhonnou cestou, ten mi bude sloužit.

101:6  Oči mé na pravdomluvné v zemi, aby sedali se mnou; kdož chodí po cestě upřímé, tenť mi sloužiti bude.

101:7  Nesmí přebývat v mém domě, kdo záludně jedná. Kdo proradně mluví, na oči mi nesmí.

101:7  V mém domě však bydlet nebude nikdo, kdo páchá lest. Nikdo, kdo mluví lži, mi nesmí na oči!

101:7  V mém domě nebude přebývat ten, kdo jedná záludně; ten, kdo mluví lži, v mých očích neobstojí.

101:7  Nebude bydliti v domě mém činící lest, a mluvící lež nebude míti místa u mne.

101:8  Každé ráno budu umlčovat všechny svévolníky v zemi, a tak vymýtím z Hospodinova města všechny pachatele ničemností.

101:8  Každého rána umlčím všechny ničemy na zemi. Z Hospodinova města vymýtím všechny zlosyny!

101:8  Po ránu budu hubit všechny ničemy v zemi, abych z Hospodinova města vyhladil všechny činitele nepravosti.

101:8  Každého jitra pléniti budu všecky nešlechetné z země, abych tak vyplénil z města Hospodinova všecky, kdož páší nepravost.

101:13  But thou, O Lord, endurest for ever: and thy memorial to all generations.

101:13  Tu autem, Domine, in æternum permanes, et memoriale tuum in generationem et generationem.

101:14  Thou shalt arise and have mercy on Sion: for it is time to have mercy on it, for the time is come.

101:14  Tu exsurgens misereberis Sion, quia tempus miserendi ejus, quia venit tempus :

101:15  For the stones thereof have pleased thy servants: and they shall have pity on the earth thereof.

101:15  quoniam placuerunt servis tuis lapides ejus, et terræ ejus miserebuntur.

101:16  All the Gentiles shall fear thy name, O Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

101:16  Et timebunt gentes nomen tuum, Domine, et omnes reges terræ gloriam tuam :

101:17  For the Lord hath built up Sion: and he shall be seen in his glory.

101:17  quia ædificavit Dominus Sion, et videbitur in gloria sua.

101:18  He hath had regard to the prayer of the humble: and he hath not despised their petition.

101:18  Respexit in orationem humilium et non sprevit precem eorum.

101:19  Let these things be written unto another generation: and the people that shall be created shall praise the Lord:

101:19  Scribantur hæc in generatione altera, et populus qui creabitur laudabit Dominum.

101:20  Because he hath looked forth from his high sanctuary: from heaven the Lord hath looked upon the earth.

101:20  Quia prospexit de excelso sancto suo ; Dominus de cælo in terram aspexit :

101:21  That he might hear the groans of them that are in fetters: that he might release the children of the slain:

101:21  ut audiret gemitus compeditorum ; ut solveret filios interemptorum :

101:22  That they may declare the name of the Lord in Sion: and his praise in Jerusalem;

101:22  ut annuntient in Sion nomen Domini, et laudem ejus in Jerusalem :

101:23  When the people assemble together, and kings, to serve the Lord.

101:24  He answered him in the way of his strength: Declare unto me the fewness of my days.

101:24  Respondit ei in via virtutis suæ : Paucitatem dierum meorum nuntia mihi :

101:25  Call me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are unto generation and generation.

101:25  ne revoces me in dimidio dierum meorum, in generationem et generationem anni tui.

101:26  In the beginning, O Lord, thou foundedst the earth: and the heavens are the works of thy hands.

101:26  Initio tu, Domine, terram fundasti, et opera manuum tuarum sunt cæli.

101:27  They shall perish but thou remainest: and all of them shall grow old like a garment: And as a vesture thou shalt change them, and they shall be changed.

101:27  Ipsi peribunt, tu autem permanes ; et omnes sicut vestimentum veterascent. Et sicut opertorium mutabis eos, et mutabuntur ;

101:28  But thou art always the selfsame, and thy years shall not fail.

101:28  tu autem idem ipse es, et anni tui non deficient.

101:29  The children of thy servants shall continue and their seed shall be directed for ever.
