Chapter 12
I Co RKJNT 12:1  Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you be ignorant.
I Co RKJNT 12:2  You know that when you were pagans, you were carried away by these dumb idols, however you were led.
I Co RKJNT 12:3  Therefore, I want you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.
I Co RKJNT 12:4  Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.
I Co RKJNT 12:5  And there are various kinds of service, but the same Lord.
I Co RKJNT 12:6  And there are various kinds of working, but it is the same God who works all of them in all men.
I Co RKJNT 12:7  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each man for the common good.
I Co RKJNT 12:8  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
I Co RKJNT 12:9  To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by that one Spirit;
I Co RKJNT 12:10  To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another various kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
I Co RKJNT 12:11  But all these things are by one and the same Spirit, who distributes to every man as he wills.
I Co RKJNT 12:12  For just as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body: so it is with Christ.
I Co RKJNT 12:13  For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slave or free; and have all been made to drink of one Spirit.
I Co RKJNT 12:15  If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not part of the body; is it therefore not part of the body?
I Co RKJNT 12:16  And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not part of the body; is it therefore not part of the body?
I Co RKJNT 12:17  If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?
I Co RKJNT 12:18  But now God has set the members, every one of them, in the body, as it has pleased him.
I Co RKJNT 12:19  And if they were all one member, where would the body be?
I Co RKJNT 12:20  But as it is, there are many members, yet one body.
I Co RKJNT 12:21  And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
I Co RKJNT 12:22  No, those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are the most necessary:
I Co RKJNT 12:23  And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our unpresentable parts are treated with special modesty,
I Co RKJNT 12:24  Of which our presentable parts have no need: but God has composed the body, giving more abundant honour to that part which lacked it:
I Co RKJNT 12:25  That there should be no division in the body; but that the members should have the same care for one another.
I Co RKJNT 12:26  And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
I Co RKJNT 12:27  Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.
I Co RKJNT 12:28  And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that workers of miracles, then those with gifts of healing, helpers, administrators, and those who speak in different tongues.
I Co RKJNT 12:29  Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
I Co RKJNT 12:30  Do all have gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
I Co RKJNT 12:31  But earnestly desire the best gifts: and yet I will show you a more excellent way.
