40:1  In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, the tenth day of the month, the fourteenth year after the city was destroyed: in the selfsame day the hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me thither.

40:4  And this man said to me: Son of man, see with thy eyes, and hear with thy ears, and set thy heart upon all that I shall shew thee: for thou art brought hither that they may be shewn to thee: declare all that thou seest, to the house of Israel.

40:4  And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

40:4  „Lidský synu“, oslovil mě ten muž, „pozorně se dívej a napjatě poslouchej a vezmi si k srdci všechno, co ti ukážu; kvůli tomu, co ti bude ukázáno, byl jsi sem přiveden. Oznam domu izraelskému všechno, co uvidíš.“

40:4  „Synu člověčí,“ řekl mi ten muž, „pozorně se dívej, bedlivě poslouchej a dobře si všímej všeho, co ti ukážu, neboť právě proto jsi sem byl přiveden. Všechno, co vidíš, oznam domu Izraele.“

40:4  Ten muž ke mně promluvil: Lidský synu, dívej se svýma očima a svýma ušima slyš, věnuj pozornost všemu, co ti ukazuji, protože jsi sem byl přiveden, abych ti to ukázal. Všechno, co vidíš, oznam domu izraelskému.

40:4  I mluvil ke mně ten muž: Synu člověčí, viz očima svýma, a ušima svýma slyš, a přilož srdce své ke všemu, což já ukáži tobě; nebo proto aťbych ukazoval, přiveden jsi sem. Ty pak oznámíš všecko domu Izraelskému, což vidíš.

40:4  And the man said to me, Son of man, behold with thy eyes, and hear with thy ears, and set thy heart upon all that I shall show thee; for, to the intent that I might show [them] to thee [art] thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

40:4  Et locutus est ad me idem vir : Fili hominis, vide oculis tuis, et auribus tuis audi, et pone cor tuum in omnia quæ ego ostendam tibi, quia ut ostendantur tibi adductus es huc. Annuntia omnia quæ tu vides domui Israël.

40:5  And behold there was a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits and a handbreadth: and he measured the breadth of the building one reed, and the height one reed.

40:5  A hle, zvenčí kolem dokola domu Božího byla hradba. Délka prutu k měření, který měl muž v ruce, byla šest loket; každý z nich byl o dlaň delší. Změřil šířku stavby; byla jeden prut a výška také jeden prut.

40:5  Spatřil jsem chrámový okrsek obehnaný kolem dokola vnější zdí. Tyč v ruce onoho muže byla dlouhá 6 loktů (počítaje lokty o dlaň delší). Změřil s ní tu zeď a byla na tyč silná a na tyč vysoká.

40:5  A hle, vně domu byla kolem dokola hradba. Ten muž měl v ruce třtinu měřící šest loket (každý na loket a dlaň) a změřil šířku stavby: jedna třtina a výšku: jedna třtina.

40:5  A aj, zed zevnitř při domu vůkol a vůkol, a v ruce muže toho prut míry, šesti loket, (loket o dlaň delší než obecní). Změřil šířku toho stavení jednoho prutu, a výšku jednoho prutu.

40:6  And he came to the gate that looked toward the east, and he went up the steps thereof: and he measured the breadth of the threshold of the gate one reed, that is, one threshold was one reed broad;

40:6  Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad; and the other threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad.

40:6  Pak vstoupil do brány, která směřovala na východ. Vystoupil po schodišti a změřil práh brány; byl jeden prut široký. Práh byl široký jeden prut.

40:6  Poté přešel k východní bráně. Vystoupil po schodech a změřil její práh: byl na tyč hluboký.

40:6  Then he came to the gate which looketh towards the east, and ascended its stairs, and measured the threshhold of the gate, [which was] one reed broad; and the other threshhold [of the gate], [which was] one reed broad.

40:7  And every little chamber was one reed long, and one reed broad: and between the little chambers were five cubits:

40:7  Postranní místnosti v bráně byly jeden prut dlouhé a jeden prut široké. Prostor mezi místnostmi měřil pět loket. Práh dvorany v bráně směrem k domu měřil jeden prut.

40:7  A pokojíky jednoho prutu zdélí, a jednoho prutu zšíří, mezi pokojíky pak pět loket, a prah brány podlé síňce brány vnitř prutu jednoho.

40:7  And [every] little chamber [was] one reed long, and one reed broad; and between the little chambers [were] five cubits; and the threshhold of the gate by the porch of the gate within [was] one reed.

40:7  Every lodge was one reed long, and one reed broad; and the space between the lodges was five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate toward the house was one reed.

40:10  Brána směřující na východ měla po obou stranách tři postranní místnosti. Rozměry těch tří místností byly stejné a rozměry pilířů po obou stranách byly také stejné.

40:10  Uvnitř této východní brány byly po jedné i druhé straně tři výklenky a ty tři měly vždy stejné rozměry. Také pilíře po jedné i druhé straně měly vždy stejné rozměry.

40:11  Dále změřil vchod do brány; byl deset loket široký. Brána byla dlouhá třináct loket.

40:13  Pak změřil bránu od jednoho kraje střechy nad místností k druhému kraji střechy; byla široká dvacet pět loket, od vchodu ke vchodu.

40:16  Dovnitř do brány kolem dokola vedla okna zúžená do světnic a k jejich pilířům a tak tomu bylo i u podloubí. Okna kolem dokola vedla dovnitř a na každém pilíři byly palmové ozdoby.

40:16  A byla okna possoužená v pokojících i nad veřejemi jejich, do vnitřku brány vůkol a vůkol, takž i při klenutí, a na okních vůkol a vůkol do vnitřku, a na veřejích byly palmy.

40:16  And [there were] narrow windows to the little chambers, and to their posts within the gate around, and likewise to the arches: and windows [were] around inward: and upon [each] post [were] palm-trees.

40:17  And he brought me into the outward court, and behold there were chambers, and a pavement of stone in the court round about: thirty chambers encompassed the pavement.

40:17  Uvedl mě pak na vnější nádvoří. Tam byly kolem dokola vydlážděného nádvoří komory; bylo jich na tom dlážděném nádvoří třicet.
