22:4  And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth–gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.

22:4  Pak se otázal Jóšafata: „Půjdeš se mnou do války o Rámot v Gileádu?“ Jóšafat izraelskému králi odvětil: „Jsme jedno, já jako ty, můj lid jako tvůj lid, mí koně jako tví koně.“

22:4  Potom se zeptal Jošafata: „Půjdeš se mnou do války o Rámot-gileád?“ „Udělám to, co ty,“ odpověděl mu Jošafat. „Můj lid je jako tvůj, mí koně jako tví!“

22:4  Pročež řekl Jozafatovi: Potáhneš-li se mnou na vojnu proti Rámot Galád? Odpověděl Jozafat králi Izraelskému: Jako jsem já, tak jsi ty, jako lid můj, tak lid tvůj, jako koni moji, tak koni tvoji.

22:4  And he said to Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I [am] as thou [art], my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.

22:4  He said to Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to battle to Ramoth Gilead?" Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."

22:6  Then the king of Israel assembled the prophets, about four hundred men, and he said to them: Shall I go to Ramoth Galaad to fight, or shall I forbear? They answered: Go up, and the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.

22:6  Then the king of Israel assembled the prophets, about four hundred men, and said to them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord will deliver [it] into the hand of the king.

22:7  And Josaphat said: Is there not here some prophet of the Lord, that we may inquire by him?

22:7  Ale Jóšafat se zeptal: „Cožpak tu už není žádný prorok Hospodinův, abychom se dotázali skrze něho?“

22:7  And Jehoshaphat said, [Is there] not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we may inquire of him?

22:7  Dixit autem Josaphat : Non est hic propheta Domini quispiam, ut interrogemus per eum ?

22:8  And the king of Israel said to Josaphat. There is one man left, by whom we may inquire of the Lord; Micheas, the son of Jemla: but I hate him, for he doth not prophecy good to me, but evil. And Josaphat said: Speak not so, O king.

22:8  And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the Lord: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

22:8  Izraelský král Jóšafatovi odpověděl: „Je tu ještě jeden muž, skrze něhož bychom se mohli dotázat Hospodina, ale já ho nenávidím, protože mi neprorokuje nic dobrého, nýbrž jen zlo. Je to Míkajáš, syn Jimlův.“ Jóšafat řekl: „Nechť král tak nemluví!“

22:8  „Vlastně tu jeden takový je,“ řekl izraelský král. „Skrze něj se lze ptát Hospodina, ale já ho nesnáším, protože mi neprorokuje nic dobrého, jen samé neštěstí. Je to Michajáš, syn Jimlův.“ „Tak by král neměl mluvit,“ odpověděl Jošafat.

22:8  Izraelský král Jóšafatovi odpověděl: Ještě je tu jeden muž, skrze nějž je možno dotázat se Hospodina, ale já ho nenávidím, protože mi neprorokuje dobro, nýbrž zlo: Míkajáš, syn Jimlův. Jóšafat řekl: Ať král takto nemluví.

22:8  Na to řekl král Izraelský Jozafatovi: Ještěť jest muž jeden, skrze něhož bychom se mohli poraditi s Hospodinem, ale já ho nenávidím, proto že mi dobrého neprorokuje, než zlé, Micheáš syn Jemlův. Ale Jozafat řekl: Nechť tak nemluví král.

22:8  And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, [There is] yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

22:8  The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him; for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil." Jehoshaphat said, "Do not let the king say so."

22:9  Then the king of Israel called an eunuch, and said to him: Make haste, and bring hither Micheas, the son of Jemla.

22:11  And Sedecias, the son of Chanaana, made himself horns of iron, and said: Thus saith the Lord: With these shalt thou push Syria, till thou destroy it.

22:11  And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the Lord, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them.

22:11  Sidkijáš, syn Kenaanův, si udělal železné rohy a říkal: „Toto praví Hospodin: ‚Jimi budeš trkat Arama, dokud neskoná.‘“

22:11  And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou hast consumed them.

22:11  Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, "Thus says the Lord, 'With these you shall push the Syrians, until they are consumed.'"

22:11  And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus said the LORD, With these shall you push the Syrians, until you have consumed them.

22:11  Fecit quoque sibi Sedecias filius Chanaana cornua ferrea, et ait : Hæc dicit Dominus : His ventilabis Syriam, donec deleas eam.

22:12  And all the prophets prophesied in like manner, saying: Go up to Ramoth Galaad, and prosper, for the Lord will deliver it into the king's hands.

22:12  Tak prorokovali všichni proroci: „Vytáhni proti Rámotu v Gileádu. Budeš mít úspěch. Hospodin jej vydá králi do rukou!“

22:12  And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD will deliver [it] into the king's hand.

22:13  And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.

22:13  Posel, který šel zavolat Míkajáše, mu domlouval: „Hle, slova proroků jedněmi ústy ohlašují králi dobré věci. Ať je tvá řeč jako řeč každého z nich; mluv o dobrých věcech.“

22:13  Posel, který šel Míkajášovi vstříc, mu řekl: Hle, ⌈proroci mluví jednomyslně⌉ dobro pro krále. Ať jsou tvoje slova jako řeč jednoho z nich. Mluv dobro.

22:13  V tom posel ten, kterýž šel, aby zavolal Micheáše, mluvil jemu, řka: Aj, nyní slova proroků jedněmi ústy předpovídají dobré věci králi. Medle, buď řeč tvá jako řeč kterého z nich, a mluv dobré věci.

22:13  And the messenger that went to call Micaiah, spoke to him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak [that which is] good.

22:13  The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, "See now, the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good."

22:13  And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth: let your word, I pray you, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.

22:13  Nuntius vero qui ierat ut vocaret Michæam, locutus est ad eum, dicens : Ecce sermones prophetarum ore uno regi bona prædicant : sit ergo sermo tuus similis eorum, et loquere bona.

22:14  But Micheas said to him: As the Lord liveth, whatsoever the Lord shall say to me, that will I speak.

22:14  And Micaiah said, As the Lord liveth, what the Lord saith unto me, that will I speak.

22:14  Míkajáš odpověděl: „Jakože živ je Hospodin, budu mluvit to, co mi řekne Hospodin.“

22:14  And Micaiah said, [As] the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith to me, that will I speak.

22:15  So he came to the king, and the king said to him: Micheas, shall we go to Ramoth Galaad to battle, or shall we forbear? He answered him: Go up, and prosper, and the Lord shall deliver it into the king's hands.

22:15  So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth–gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

22:15  So he came to the king. And the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD will deliver [it] into the hand of the king.

22:15  When he had come to the king, the king said to him, "Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall we forbear?" He answered him, "Go up and prosper; and the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king."

22:15  So he came to the king. And the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

22:16  But the king said to him: I adjure thee again and again, that thou tell me nothing but that which is true, in the name of the Lord.

22:16  And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord?
