Chapter 13
Mark DRC 13:1  And as he was going out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him: Master, behold what manner of stones and what buildings are here.
Mark KJV 13:1  And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
Mark DRC 13:2  And Jesus answering, said to him: Seest thou all these great buildings? There shall not be left a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.
Mark VulgClem 13:2  Et respondens Jesus, ait illi : Vides has omnes magnas ædificationes ?
Mark KJV 13:2  And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Mark DRC 13:3  And as he sat on the mount of Olivet over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him apart:
Mark VulgClem 13:3  Et cum sederet in monte Olivarum contra templum, interrogabant eum separatim Petrus, et Jacobus, et Joannes, et Andreas :
Mark KJV 13:3  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
Mark DRC 13:4  Tell us, when shall these things be and what shall be the sign when all these things shall begin to be fulfilled?
Mark VulgClem 13:4  Dic nobis, quando ista fient ? et quod signum erit, quando hæc omnia incipient consummari ?
Mark KJV 13:4  Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
Mark DRC 13:5  And Jesus answering, began to say to them: Take heed lest any man deceive you.
Mark VulgClem 13:5  Et respondens Jesus cœpit dicere illis : Videte ne quis vos seducat :
Mark KJV 13:5  And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
Mark DRC 13:6  For many shall come in my name saying, I am he: and they shall deceive many.
Mark VulgClem 13:6  multi enim venient in nomine meo, dicentes quia ego sum : et multos seducent.
Mark KJV 13:6  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mark DRC 13:7  And when you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, fear ye not. For such things must needs be: but the end is not yet.
Mark KJV 13:7  And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
Mark DRC 13:8  For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places and famines. These things are the beginning of sorrows.
Mark KJV 13:8  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Mark DRC 13:9  But look to yourselves. For they shall deliver you Up to councils: and in the synagogues you shall be beaten: and you shall stand before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony unto them.
Mark KJV 13:9  But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
Mark DRC 13:10  And unto all nations the gospel must first be preached.
Mark VulgClem 13:10  Et in omnes gentes primum oportet prædicari Evangelium.
Mark KJV 13:10  And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
Mark DRC 13:11  And when they shall lead you and deliver you up, be not thoughtful beforehand what you shall speak: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye. For it is not you that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Mark KJV 13:11  But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Mark DRC 13:12  And the brother shall betray his brother unto death, and the father his son; and children shall rise up against their parents and shall work their death.
Mark KJV 13:12  Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
Mark DRC 13:13  And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake. But he that shall endure unto the end, he shall be saved.
Mark VulgClem 13:13  Et eritis odio omnibus propter nomen meum.
Mark KJV 13:13  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mark DRC 13:14  And when you shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not (he that readeth let him understand): then let them that are in Judea flee unto the mountains.
Mark KJV 13:14  But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judæa flee to the mountains:
Mark DRC 13:15  And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house nor enter therein to take any thing out of the house.
Mark KJV 13:15  And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
Mark DRC 13:16  And let him that shall be in the field not turn back to take up his garment.
Mark KJV 13:16  And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
Mark DRC 13:17  And woe to them that are with child and that give suck in those days.
Mark KJV 13:17  But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mark DRC 13:18  But pray ye that these things happen not in winter.
Mark KJV 13:18  And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
Mark DRC 13:19  For in those days shall be such tribulations as were not from the beginning of the creation which God created until now: neither shall be.
Mark KJV 13:19  For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
Mark DRC 13:20  And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh should be saved: but, for the sake of the elect which he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
Mark VulgClem 13:20  Et nisi breviasset Dominus dies, non fuisset salva omnis caro : sed propter electos, quos elegit, breviavit dies.
Mark KJV 13:20  And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
Mark DRC 13:21  And then if any man shall say to you: Lo, here is Christ. Lo, he is here: do not believe.
Mark VulgClem 13:21  Et tunc si quis vobis dixerit : Ecce hic est Christus, ecce illic, ne credideritis.
Mark KJV 13:21  And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Mark DRC 13:22  For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets: and they shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce (if it were possible) even the elect.
Mark KJV 13:22  For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Mark DRC 13:23  Take you heed therefore: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Mark VulgClem 13:23  Vos ergo videte : ecce prædixi vobis omnia.
Mark KJV 13:23  But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Mark DRC 13:24  But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light.
Mark VulgClem 13:24  Sed in illis diebus, post tribulationem illam, sol contenebrabitur, et luna non dabit splendorem suum :
Mark KJV 13:24  But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Mark DRC 13:25  And the stars of heaven shall be falling down and the powers that are in heaven shall be moved.
Mark KJV 13:25  And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Mark DRC 13:26  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with great power and glory.
Mark VulgClem 13:26  Et tunc videbunt Filium hominis venientem in nubibus cum virtute multa et gloria.
Mark KJV 13:26  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Mark DRC 13:27  And then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
Mark VulgClem 13:27  Et tunc mittet angelos suos, et congregabit electos suos a quatuor ventis, a summo terræ usque ad summum cæli.
Mark KJV 13:27  And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
Mark DRC 13:28  Now of the fig tree learn ye a parable. When the branch thereof is now tender and the leaves are come forth, you know that summer is very near.
Mark VulgClem 13:28  A ficu autem discite parabolam.
Mark KJV 13:28  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
Mark DRC 13:29  So you also when you shall see these things come to pass, know ye that it is very nigh, even at the doors.
Mark KJV 13:29  So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
Mark DRC 13:30  Amen, I say to you that this generation shall not pass until all these things be done.
Mark VulgClem 13:30  Amen dico vobis, quoniam non transibit generatio hæc, donec omnia ista fiant.
Mark KJV 13:30  Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
Mark DRC 13:31  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my word shall not pass away.
Mark KJV 13:31  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Mark DRC 13:32  But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.
Mark KJV 13:32  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Mark DRC 13:33  Take ye heed, watch and pray. For ye know not when the time is.
Mark KJV 13:33  Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Mark DRC 13:34  Even as a man who, going into a far country, left his house and gave authority to his servants over every work and commanded the porter to watch.
Mark KJV 13:34  For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Mark DRC 13:35  Watch ye therefore (for you know not when the lord of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning):
Mark VulgClem 13:35  vigilate ergo (nescitis enim quando dominus domus veniat : sero, an media nocte, an galli cantu, an mane),
Mark KJV 13:35  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Mark DRC 13:36  Lest coming on a sudden, he find you sleeping.
Mark VulgClem 13:36  ne, cum venerit repente, inveniat vos dormientes.
Mark KJV 13:36  Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
Mark DRC 13:37  And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch.
Mark VulgClem 13:37  Quod autem vobis dico, omnibus dico : Vigilate.
Mark KJV 13:37  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
