Luke KJV 18:1  And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Luke DRC 18:2  Saying: There was a judge in a certain city, who feared not God nor regarded man.
Luke KJV 18:2  Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
Luke DRC 18:3  And there was a certain widow in that city; and she came to him, saying: Avenge me of my adversary.
Luke KJV 18:3  And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
Luke DRC 18:4  And he would not for a long time. But afterwards he said within himself: Although I fear not God nor regard man,
Luke KJV 18:4  And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
Luke DRC 18:5  Yet because this widow is troublesome to me, I will avenge her, lest continually coming she weary me.
Luke VulgClem 18:5  tamen quia molesta est mihi hæc vidua, vindicabo illam, ne in novissimo veniens sugillet me.
Luke KJV 18:5  Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
Luke DRC 18:6  And the Lord said: Hear what the unjust judge saith.
Luke VulgClem 18:6  Ait autem Dominus : Audite quid judex iniquitatis dicit :
Luke KJV 18:6  And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
Luke DRC 18:7  And will not God revenge his elect who cry to him day and night? And will he have patience in their regard?
Luke KJV 18:7  And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
Luke DRC 18:8  I say to you that he will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?
Luke VulgClem 18:8  Dico vobis quia cito faciet vindictam illorum. Verumtamen Filius hominis veniens, putas, inveniet fidem in terra ?
Luke KJV 18:8  I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Luke DRC 18:9  And to some who trusted in themselves as just and despised others, he spoke also this parable:
Luke VulgClem 18:9  Dixit autem et ad quosdam qui in se confidebant tamquam justi, et aspernabantur ceteros, parabolam istam :
Luke KJV 18:9  And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
Luke DRC 18:10  Two men went up into the temple to pray: the one a Pharisee and the other a publican.

Luke DRC 18:11  The Pharisee standing, prayed thus with himself: O God, I give thee thanks that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, as also is this publican.
Luke VulgClem 18:11  Pharisæus stans, hæc apud se orabat : Deus, gratias ago tibi, quia non sum sicut ceteri hominum : raptores, injusti, adulteri, velut etiam hic publicanus :
Luke KJV 18:11  The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

Luke VulgClem 18:12  jejuno bis in sabbato, decimas do omnium quæ possideo.
Luke KJV 18:12  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Luke DRC 18:13  And the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven; but struck his breast, saying: O God, be merciful to me a sinner.
Luke VulgClem 18:13  Et publicanus a longe stans, nolebat nec oculos ad cælum levare : sed percutiebat pectus suum, dicens : Deus propitius esto mihi peccatori.
Luke KJV 18:13  And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
Luke DRC 18:14  I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather than the other: because every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke KJV 18:14  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke DRC 18:15  And they brought unto him also infants, that he might touch them. Which when the disciples saw, they rebuked them.
Luke KJV 18:15  And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
Luke DRC 18:16  But Jesus, calling them together, said: Suffer children to come to me and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Luke KJV 18:16  But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Luke DRC 18:17  Amen, I say to you: Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a child shall not enter into it.
Luke VulgClem 18:17  Amen dico vobis, quicumque non acceperit regnum Dei sicut puer, non intrabit in illud.
Luke KJV 18:17  Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Luke VulgClem 18:22  Quo audito, Jesus ait ei : Adhuc unum tibi deest : omnia quæcumque habes vende, et da pauperibus, et habebis thesaurum in cælo : et veni, sequere me.
Luke KJV 18:22  Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
