Matt KJV 10:4  Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
Matt DRC 10:5  These twelve Jesus sent: commanding them, saying: Go ye not into the way of the Gentiles, and into the city of the Samaritans enter ye not.
Matt VulgClem 10:5  Hos duodecim misit Jesus, præcipiens eis, dicens : In viam gentium ne abieritis, et in civitates Samaritanorum ne intraveritis :
Matt KJV 10:5  These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Matt DRC 10:6  But go ye rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matt KJV 10:6  But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matt DRC 10:7  And going, preach, saying: The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matt VulgClem 10:7  Euntes autem prædicate, dicentes : Quia appropinquavit regnum cælorum.
Matt KJV 10:7  And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matt DRC 10:8  Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out devils: freely have you received, freely give.
Matt VulgClem 10:8  Infirmos curate, mortuos suscitate, leprosos mundate, dæmones ejicite : gratis accepistis, gratis date.
Matt KJV 10:8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Matt DRC 10:9  Do not possess gold, nor silver, nor money in your purses:
Matt VulgClem 10:9  Nolite possidere aurum, neque argentum, neque pecuniam in zonis vestris :
Matt KJV 10:9  Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
Matt DRC 10:10  Nor scrip for your journey, nor two coats, nor shoes, nor a staff; for the workman is worthy of his meat.
Matt KJV 10:10  Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
Matt DRC 10:11  And into whatsoever city or town you shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and there abide till you go thence.
Matt KJV 10:11  And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
Matt DRC 10:12  And when you come into the house, salute it, saying: Peace be to this house.
Matt VulgClem 10:12  Intrantes autem in domum, salutate eam, dicentes : Pax huic domui.
Matt KJV 10:12  And when ye come into an house, salute it.
Matt DRC 10:13  And if that house be worthy, your peace shall come upon it; but if it be not worthy, your peace shall return to you.
Matt KJV 10:13  And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
Matt DRC 10:14  And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that house or city shake off the dust from your feet.
Matt KJV 10:14  And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Matt DRC 10:15  Amen I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Matt VulgClem 10:15  Amen dico vobis : Tolerabilius erit terræ Sodomorum et Gomorrhæorum in die judicii, quam illi civitati.
Matt KJV 10:15  Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Matt DRC 10:16  Behold I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and simple as doves.
Matt VulgClem 10:16  Ecce ego mitto vos sicut oves in medio luporum. Estote ergo prudentes sicut serpentes, et simplices sicut columbæ.
Matt KJV 10:16  Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Matt DRC 10:17  But beware of men. For they will deliver you up in councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues.
Matt KJV 10:17  But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
Matt DRC 10:18  And you shall be brought before governors, and before kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles:
Matt VulgClem 10:18  et ad præsides, et ad reges ducemini propter me in testimonium illis, et gentibus.
Matt KJV 10:18  And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
Matt DRC 10:19  But when they shall deliver you up, take no thought how or what to speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what to speak:
Matt VulgClem 10:19  Cum autem tradent vos, nolite cogitare quomodo, aut quid loquamini : dabitur enim vobis in illa hora, quid loquamini :
Matt KJV 10:19  But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
Matt DRC 10:20  For it is not you that speak, but the spirit of your Father that speaketh in you.
Matt KJV 10:20  For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Matt DRC 10:21  The brother also shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the son; and the children shall rise up against their parents, and shall put them to death.
Matt KJV 10:21  And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
Matt DRC 10:22  And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he that shall persevere unto the end, he shall be saved.
Matt KJV 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matt DRC 10:23  And when they shall persecute you in this city, flee into another. Amen I say to you, you shall not finish all the cities of Israel, till the Son of man come.
Matt VulgClem 10:23  Cum autem persequentur vos in civitate ista, fugite in aliam. Amen dico vobis, non consummabitis civitates Israël, donec veniat Filius hominis.
Matt KJV 10:23  But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
Matt DRC 10:24  The disciple is not above the master, nor the servant above his lord.
Matt KJV 10:24  The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
Matt DRC 10:25  It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the good man of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household?
Matt KJV 10:25  It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
Matt DRC 10:26  Therefore fear them not. For nothing is covered that shall not be revealed: nor hid, that shall not be known.
Matt VulgClem 10:26  Ne ergo timueritis eos.
Matt KJV 10:26  Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
Matt DRC 10:27  That which I tell you in the dark, speak ye in the light: and that which you hear in the ear, preach ye upon the housetops.
Matt VulgClem 10:27  Quod dico vobis in tenebris, dicite in lumine : et quod in aure auditis, prædicate super tecta.
Matt KJV 10:27  What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
Matt DRC 10:28  And fear ye not them that kill the body, and are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matt KJV 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matt DRC 10:29  Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father.
Matt KJV 10:29  Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
Matt DRC 10:30  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Matt KJV 10:30  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Matt DRC 10:31  Fear not therefore: better are you than many sparrows.
Matt VulgClem 10:31  Nolite ergo timere : multis passeribus meliores estis vos.
Matt KJV 10:31  Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Matt DRC 10:32  Every one therefore that shall confess me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven.
Matt VulgClem 10:32  Omnis ergo qui confitebitur me coram hominibus, confitebor et ego eum coram Patre meo, qui in cælis est.
Matt KJV 10:32  Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Matt DRC 10:33  But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.
Matt KJV 10:33  But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matt DRC 10:34  Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword.
Matt VulgClem 10:34  Nolite arbitrari quia pacem venerim mittere in terram : non veni pacem mittere, sed gladium :
Matt KJV 10:34  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matt DRC 10:35  For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matt KJV 10:35  For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matt DRC 10:36  And a man's enemies shall be they of his own household.
Matt VulgClem 10:36  et inimici hominis, domestici ejus.
Matt KJV 10:36  And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
Matt DRC 10:37  He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me.
Matt VulgClem 10:37  Qui amat patrem aut matrem plus quam me, non est me dignus : et qui amat filium aut filiam super me, non est me dignus.
Matt KJV 10:37  He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Matt DRC 10:38  And he that taketh not up his cross, and followeth me, is not worthy of me.
Matt VulgClem 10:38  Et qui non accipit crucem suam, et sequitur me, non est me dignus.
Matt KJV 10:38  And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Matt DRC 10:39  He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for me, shall find it.
Matt VulgClem 10:39  Qui invenit animam suam, perdet illam : et qui perdiderit animam suam propter me, inveniet eam.
Matt KJV 10:39  He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Matt DRC 10:40  He that receiveth you, receiveth me: and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me.
Matt VulgClem 10:40  Qui recipit vos, me recipit : et qui me recipit, recipit eum qui me misit.
Matt KJV 10:40  He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
Matt DRC 10:41  He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive the reward of a prophet: and he that receiveth a just man in the name of a just man, shall receive the reward of a just man.
Matt VulgClem 10:41  Qui recipit prophetam in nomine prophetæ, mercedem prophetæ accipiet : et qui recipit justum in nomine justi, mercedem justi accipiet.
Matt KJV 10:41  He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
Matt DRC 10:42  And whosoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, amen I say to you he shall not lose his reward.
Matt VulgClem 10:42  Et quicumque potum dederit uni ex minimis istis calicem aquæ frigidæ tantum in nomine discipuli : amen dico vobis, non perdet mercedem suam.
Matt KJV 10:42  And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
