14:1  Now it came to pass one day that Jonathan, the son of Saul, said to the young man that bore his armour: Come, and let us go over to the garrison of the Philistines, which is on the other side of yonder place. But he told not this to his father.

14:1  Jednoho dne vyzval Jónatan, syn Saulův, mládence, svého zbrojnoše: „Pojď, pronikneme k postavení Pelištejců tamhle naproti.“ Svému otci to však neoznámil.

14:1  Jednoho dne řekl Saulův syn Jonatan svému zbrojnošovi: „Pojď, pronikneme k té filištínské hlídce tamhle naproti.“ Svému otci to ale neřekl.

14:1  Jednoho dne se stalo, že Jónatan, syn Saulův, řekl služebníkovi, který nosil jeho výstroj: Pojď, projdeme k pelištejské hlídce, která je na druhé straně. Svému otci to však neoznámil.

14:1  Stalo se pak jednoho dne, že řekl Jonata syn Saulův služebníku, kterýž nosil zbroj jeho: Poď, půjdeme k stráži Filistinských, kteráž jest na oné straně. Ale otci svému toho nepověděl.

14:1  Now it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan, the son of Saul, said to the young man that bore his armor, Come, and let us go over to the garrison of the Philistines, that [is] on the other side. But he told not his father.

14:2  And Saul abode in the uttermost part of Gabaa, under the pomegranate tree, which was in Magron: and the people with him were about six hundred men.

14:2  Saul se usadil na úpatí pahorku pod granátovníkem v Migrónu. Lidu s ním bylo na šest set mužů.

14:3  And Achias, the son of Achitob, brother of Ichabod the son of Phinees, the son of Heli, the priest of the Lord in Silo, wore the ephod. And the people knew not whither Jonathan was gone.

14:3  And Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, I–chabod’s brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the Lord’s priest in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. And the people knew not that Jonathan was gone.

14:4  Now there were between the ascents, by which Jonathan sought to go over to the garrison of the Philistines, rocks standing up on both sides, and steep cliffs like teeth on the one side, and on the other, the name of the one was Boses, and the name of the other was Sene:

14:4  And between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines’ garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.

14:4  V průsmyku, kterým se Jónatan snažil proniknout nad postavení Pelištejců, byl skalní útes z jedné strany i skalní útes z druhé strany; jeden se jmenoval Bóses a druhý Sené.

14:4  Na obou stranách průsmyku, kterým chtěl Jonatan proniknout k filištínské hlídce, byly skalní útesy. Jeden se jmenoval Bocec a druhý Sene;

14:4  ⌈V průsmyku,⌉ kterým chtěl Jónatan projít k pelištejské hlídce, byl skalní výběžek z jedné strany a skalní výběžek z druhé strany. Jeden se jmenoval Bóses a druhý se jmenoval Sené.

14:6  And Jonathan said to the young man that bore his armour: Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised, it may be the Lord will do for us: because it is easy for the Lord to save either by many, or by few.

14:6  And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.

14:6  Jónatan tedy vyzval mládence, svého zbrojnoše: „Pojď, pronikneme k postavení těch neobřezanců. Snad pro nás Hospodin něco udělá. Vždyť Hospodinu nemůže nic zabránit, aby zachránil ať skrze mnoho nebo skrze málo.“

14:6  „Pojď,“ řekl Jonatan svému zbrojnoši, „pronikneme ke hlídce těch neobřezanců. Snad bude Hospodin při nás. Vždyť Hospodinu není zatěžko zvítězit, ať už jich je mnoho nebo málo.“

14:6  Jónatan řekl služebníkovi, svému zbrojnoši: Pojď, projdeme k hlídce těch neobřezanců. Snad pro nás Hospodin něco udělá. Neboť ⌈Hospodinu nemůže nic zabránit,⌉ aby zachránil skrze mnoho nebo skrze málo.

14:6  I řekl Jonata služebníku, kterýž nosil zbroj jeho: Poď, přejděme k stráži těch neobřezaných, snad bude Hospodin s námi; neboť není nesnadné Hospodinu zachovati ve mnoze aneb v mále.

14:6  And Jonathan said to the young man that bore his armor, Come, and let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for [there is] no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.

14:7  And his armourbearer said to him: Do all that pleaseth thy mind: go whither thou wilt, and I will be with thee wheresoever thou hast a mind.

14:7  And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.

14:7  Zbrojnoš mu odpověděl: „Udělej všechno, co máš na mysli. Jen vpřed! Já budu s tebou podle tvé vůle.“

14:7  „Udělej, cokoli máš na srdci,“ odpověděl mu zbrojnoš. „Obrať se, kam chceš – jsem přece s tebou jedno srdce.“

14:7  Jeho zbrojnoš mu řekl: Udělej vše, co ⌈máš na srdci.⌉ Vzhůru! Hle, já jsem s tebou ⌈tak, jak to máš na srdci.⌉

14:7  Odpověděl oděnec jeho: Učiň, cožkoli jest v srdci tvém, obrať se, kam chceš; aj, budu s tebou podlé vůle tvé.

14:7  And his armor-bearer said to him, Do all that [is] in thy heart: turn thee; behold, I [am] with thee according to thy heart.

14:7  His armor bearer said to him, "Do all that is in your heart. Turn and, behold, I am with you according to your heart."

14:7  And his armor bearer said to him, Do all that is in your heart: turn you; behold, I am with you according to your heart.

14:7  Dixitque ei armiger suus : Fac omnia quæ placent animo tuo : perge quo cupis, et ero tecum ubicumque volueris.

14:8  And Jonathan said: Behold we will go over to these men. And when we shall be seen by them,

14:8  Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them.

14:8  Jónatan rozhodl: „Pronikneme k těm mužům a znenadání se před nimi objevíme.

14:8  Jonatan mu na to řekl: „Podívej se, pronikneme k těm mužům a ukážeme se jim.

14:9  If they shall speak thus to us: Stay till we come to you: let us stand still in our place, and not go up to them.

14:9  If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them.

14:9  Jestliže nás vyzvou: ‚Nehýbejte se, dokud k vám nedorazíme‘, zůstaneme na místě a nepůjdeme k nim nahoru.

14:9  Jestli nám řeknou: ‚Zastavte se, dokud k vám nedorazíme!‘ zůstaneme na místě a nebudeme k nim šplhat.

14:10  Jestliže však řeknou: ‚Pojďte k nám nahoru‘, půjdeme vzhůru, neboť Hospodin nám je vydal do rukou. To bude pro nás znamením.“

14:10  Si autem dixerint : Ascendite ad nos : ascendamus, quia tradidit eos Dominus in manibus nostris : hoc erit nobis signum.

14:11  So both of them discovered themselves to the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said: Behold the Hebrews come forth out of the holes wherein they were hid.

14:11  And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.

14:11  Když se oba objevili před postavením Pelištejců, Pelištejci řekli: „Hle, Hebrejové vylézají z děr, kam se ukryli.“

14:11  Oba se tedy ukázali filištínské hlídce a Filištíni si řekli: „Podívejme, Hebrejové lezou z děr, do kterých se schovali.“

14:11  Ukázali se tedy oba dva stráži Filistinských. I řekli Filistinští: Hle, Hebrejští lezou z děr, v nichž se byli skryli.

14:11  And both of them discovered themselves to the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.

14:12  And the men of the garrison spoke to Jonathan, and to his armourbearer, and said: Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said to his armourbearer: Let us go up, follow me: for the Lord hath delivered them into the hands of Israel.

14:12  And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after me: for the Lord hath delivered them into the hand of Israel.

14:12  Muži z toho postavení vyzvali Jónatana a jeho zbrojnoše: „Pojďte k nám nahoru, něco vám povíme!“ Tu řekl Jónatan svému zbrojnoši: „Vzhůru za mnou! Hospodin je vydal Izraeli do rukou!“

14:12  Muži z té hlídky pak na Jonatana a jeho zbrojnoše zavolali: „Vylezte k nám a něco vám ukážeme.“ Tehdy Jonatan řekl svému zbrojnoši: „Stoupej za mnou. Hospodin je vydal Izraeli do rukou!“

14:12  Muži z hlídky promluvili k Jónatanovi a jeho zbrojnoši: Vylezte k nám a my vám ukážeme! Jónatan řekl svému zbrojnoši: Lez za mnou, protože Hospodin je vydal do moci Izraele.

14:12  I mluvili někteří z stráže té k Jonatovi a k oděnci jeho, a řekli: Vstupte k nám, a povíme vám něco. Pročež řekl Jonata k oděnci svému: Podiž za mnou, nebo je vydal Hospodin v ruku Izraele.

14:12  And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armor-bearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will show you a thing. And Jonathan said to his armor-bearer, Come up after me: for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of Israel.

14:13  And Jonathan went up creeping on his hands and feet, and his armourbearer after him. And some fell before Jonathan, others his armourbearer slew as he followed him.

14:13  And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armourbearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armourbearer slew after him.

14:13  Jónatan lezl po čtyřech nahoru a za ním jeho zbrojnoš. I padali před Jónatanem a zbrojnoš je za ním pobíjel.

14:13  Jonatan šplhal po čtyřech a zbrojnoš za ním. Filištíni před Jonatanem padali a jeho zbrojnoš je dobíjel.

14:13  Jónatan ⌈lezl vzhůru po rukou a po nohou⌉ a jeho zbrojnoš za ním. Pelištejci padali před Jónatanem a jeho zbrojnoš je za ním usmrcoval.

14:13  A tak lezl čtvermo Jonata a oděnec jeho za ním. I padali před Jonatou, a oděnec jeho mordoval je, jda za ním.

14:13  And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armor-bearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armor-bearer slew after him.

14:14  And the first slaughter which Jonathan and his armourbearer made, was of about twenty men, within half an acre of land, which a yoke of oxen is wont to plough in a day.

14:15  And there was a miracle in the camp, in the fields: and all the people of their garrison, who had gone out to plunder, were amazed, and the earth trembled: and it happened as a miracle from God.

14:15  And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.

14:15  V nepřátelském táboře, na poli i ve všem lidu, nastalo zděšení; také muži z onoho postavení i záškodníci byli zděšeni a země se chvěla. To zděšení způsobil Bůh.

14:15  Nepřátelské vojsko zachvátila hrůza. Jak v táboře, tak na poli, jak mezi hlídkami, tak v oddílech nájezdníků se všichni třásli strachy. I sama země se chvěla hrůzou z Boha.

14:15  ⌈Na tábor, na pole i na všechen lid padl strach.⌉ Dokonce i hlídka a nájezdníci se třásli. Země se třásla. Bylo to ⌈třesení od Boha.⌉

14:15  Protož byl strach v tom ležení a na tom poli, i na všem tom lidu; strážní i oni loupežníci děsili se též, až se země třásla, nebo byla v strachu Božím.

14:15  And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.

14:34  Dále Saul rozkázal: „Rozejděte se mezi lid s výzvou, ať každý ke mně přivede svého býka nebo svou ovci. Tady je porazíte a sníte, abyste nehřešili proti Hospodinu tím, že byste jedli maso s krví.“ Všichni z lidu, každý přivedl té noci svého býka a poráželi je tam.

14:34  Potom rozkázal: „Rozejděte se do vojska a řekněte jim: Přiveďte každý svého býka nebo ovci ke mně a tady je porážejte a jezte. Nehřešte proti Hospodinu pojídáním masa s krví!“ Každý z vojska tedy té noci přivedl svého býka a porazil ho tam.

14:34  Pak Saul řekl: Rozejděte se mezi lid a řekněte jim: Přiveďte ke mně každý svého býka a svou ovci, zabíjejte je zde a jezte, abyste nehřešili proti Hospodinu tím, že byste jedli maso i s krví. Té noci tedy přivedl všechen lid každý vlastnoručně svého býka a zabíjeli je tam.

14:34  Opět řekl Saul: Rozejděte se mezi lid a rcete jim: Přiveďte ke mně jeden každý vola svého a jeden každý dobytče své, a bíte tuto a jezte, i nebudete hřešiti proti Hospodinu, jedouce se krví. Přivedli tedy všecken lid jeden každý vola svého rukou svou té noci a zabíjeli tu.

14:45  Avšak lid se proti Saulovi ozval: „Jónatan že by měl zemřít? Vždyť připravil Izraeli takové veliké vysvobození! Buď toho dalek! Jakože je živ Hospodin, ani vlásek z hlavy mu nesmí spadnout na zem. S pomocí Boží jednal dnešního dne.“ tak lid Jónatana vykoupil, že nezemřel.

14:45  Lid se ale proti Saulovi ozval: „Jonatan že má zemřít? Ten, který Izraeli získal to veliké vítězství? To tedy ne! Jakože je živ Hospodin, ani vlas mu z hlavy nespadne. Vždyť mu dnes pomáhal Hospodin!“ A tak lid zachránil Jonatana před smrtí.

14:45  Lid však řekl Saulovi: Cožpak zemře Jónatan, který způsobil tuto velkou záchranu v Izraeli? Ať je to od tebe vzdáleno. Jakože živ je Hospodin, ať nespadne ani vlas z jeho hlavy na zem, neboť to dnes učinil s pomocí Boží. Tak lid vykoupil Jónatana, a nezemřel.

14:45  I řekl lid Saulovi: Což tedy umříti má Jonata, kterýž učinil vysvobození toto veliké v Izraeli? Odstup to, živť jest Hospodin, že nespadne vlas s hlavy jeho na zemi, poněvadž s pomocí Boží učinil to dnes. I vyprostil lid Jonatu, tak aby nebyl usmrcen.
