36:1  Be not emulous of evildoers; nor envy them that work iniquity.

36:1  The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

36:1  Přednímu z kantorů, služebníka Hospodinova Davida. Převrácenost bezbožníka pojišťuje u vnitřnosti srdce mého, že není žádné bázně Boží před očima jeho.

36:1  Psalmus ipsi David. Noli æmulari in malignantibus, neque zelaveris facientes iniquitatem :

36:2  For they shall shortly wither away as grass, and as the green herbs shall quickly fall.

36:2  For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

36:2  Tak zní vzpurný výrok svévolníka: „Nemám v srdci místo pro strach z Boha.“ A to do očí mu říká.

36:2  Zvrácenost sídlí v srdci ničemy, na bázeň před Bohem vůbec nehledí!

36:2  Výrok přestoupení o ničemovi: V hloubi mého srdce není strach z Boha -- nemá jej před očima,

36:2  Nebo mu ona pochlebuje před očima jeho, aby vykonal nepravost svou až do zošklivení.

36:2  quoniam tamquam fœnum velociter arescent, et quemadmodum olera herbarum cito decident.

36:3  Trust in the Lord, and do good, and dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed with its riches.

36:3  The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

36:3  Lichotí si ve svých očích, a tak bude shledán vinným, hodným nenávisti.

36:3  Dle svého mínění si může lichotit, svou vinu nevnímá, nemá k ní nenávist.

36:3  protože lichotí sám sobě ve svých očích, a tak ⌈bude shledán vinným, hodným nenávisti.⌉

36:3  Slova úst jeho jsou nepravá a lstivá, přestal srozumívati, aby dobře činil.

36:3  Spera in Domino, et fac bonitatem ; et inhabita terram, et pasceris in divitiis ejus.

36:4  Delight in the Lord, and he will give thee the requests of thy heart.

36:4  He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

36:4  Slova jeho úst jsou ničemná a lstivá, přestal jednat rozumně a dobře.

36:4  Jeho ústa mluví lstivě a ničemně, konání dobra přestal rozumět.

36:4  Slova jeho úst jsou zlá a klamná, přestal ⌈chápat, co je správné jednání.⌉

36:4  Nepravost smýšlí i na ložci svém, ustavuje se na cestě nedobré, zlého se nevaruje.

36:4  Delectare in Domino, et dabit tibi petitiones cordis tui.

36:5  Commit thy way to the Lord, and trust in him, and he will do it.

36:5  Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

36:5  Vymýšlí si na svém lůžku ničemnosti, postavil se na nedobrou cestu, neštítí se zlého.

36:5  I na svém lůžku podlost vymýšlí, na cestě nekalosti stojí, zla se neštítí.

36:5  Vymýšlí špatnosti i na svém loži; postavil se na nedobré cestě, zlem nepohrdá.

36:5  Hospodine, až do nebes milosrdenství tvé, pravda tvá až do nejvyšších oblaků.

36:5  Revela Domino viam tuam, et spera in eo, et ipse faciet.

36:6  And he will bring forth thy justice as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

36:6  Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

36:6  Tvoje milosrdenství, Hospodine, sahá až k nebi, tvoje věrnost se dotýká mraků.

36:6  Tvá láska, Hospodine, dosahuje k nebi, tvá věrnost sahá k oblakům.

36:6  Hospodine, až k nebesům sahá tvé milosrdenství a tvá věrnost až k oblakům.

36:6  Spravedlnost tvá jako nejvyšší hory, soudové tvoji jako hlubokost nesmírná; lidi i hovada sám zachováváš, Hospodine.

36:6  Et educet quasi lumen justitiam tuam, et judicium tuum tamquam meridiem.

36:7  Be subject to the Lord and pray to him. Envy not the man who prospereth in his way; the man who doth unjust things.

36:7  How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

36:7  Tvoje spravedlnost je jak mocné horstvo, propastná tůň nezměrná jsou tvoje soudy; zachraňuješ lidi i dobytek, Hospodine.

36:7  Tvá spravedlnost je jak mohutné hory, tvé zákony jsou hloubka nesmírná – zachraňuješ, Hospodine, lidi i zvířata!

36:7  Tvá spravedlnost je jako nejvyšší hory, tvé soudy jako ⌈velká hlubina.⌉ Zachraňuješ lidi i zvířata, Hospodine.

36:7  Jak převelmi drahé jest milosrdenství tvé, Bože, a protož synové lidští v stínu křídel tvých doufají.

36:7  Subditus esto Domino, et ora eum. Noli æmulari in eo qui prosperatur in via sua ; in homine faciente injustitias.

36:8  Cease from anger, and leave rage; have no emulation to do evil.

36:8  They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

36:8  Jak vzácný skvost je tvé milosrdenství, Bože! Lidé se utíkají do stínu tvých křídel.

36:8  Tvá láska, Bože, je nad cenné poklady, do stínu tvých křídel se lidé uchýlí!

36:8  ⌈Jak vzácné je tvé⌉ milosrdenství, Bože! ⌈Synové lidští⌉ hledají útočiště ve stínu tvých křídel.

36:8  Tučností domu tvého rozvlažováni bývají, a potokem rozkoší svých napájíš je.

36:8  Desine ab ira, et derelinque furorem ; noli æmulari ut maligneris.

36:9  For evildoers shall be cut off: but they that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the land.

36:9  For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

36:9  Osvěžují se tím nejtučnějším z tvého domu, z potoka svých rozkoší jim napít dáváš.

36:9  Hojností tvého domu bývají nasyceni, z rajských potoků je napájíš.

36:9  Sytí se tučností tvého domu, napájíš je proudem svých rozkoší.

36:9  Nebo u tebe jest studnice života, a v světle tvém světlo vidíme.

36:9  Quoniam qui malignantur exterminabuntur ; sustinentes autem Dominum, ipsi hæreditabunt terram.

36:10  For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: and thou shalt seek his place, and shalt not find it.

36:10  O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

36:10  U tebe je pramen žití, když ty jsi nám světlem, spatřujeme světlo.

36:10  Pramen života je přece u tebe a ve tvém světle světlo vidíme.

36:10  Neboť u tebe je pramen života; díky tvému světlu vidíme světlo.

36:10  Rozprostři milosrdenství své na ty, kteříž tebe znají, a spravedlnost tvou na upřímé srdcem.

36:10  Et adhuc pusillum, et non erit peccator ; et quæres locum ejus, et non invenies.

36:11  But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight in abundance of peace.

36:11  Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

36:11  Uchovej své milosrdenství těm, kdo tě znají, a svou spravedlnost těm, kdo mají přímé srdce.

36:11  Svou lásku rozestři na ty, kdo tě znají, svou spravedlnost na v srdci upřímné.

36:11  Vztáhni své milosrdenství na ty, kteří tě znají, a svou spravedlnost na lidi přímého srdce.

36:11  Nechažť nedotírá na mne noha pyšných, a ruka bezbožníků ať mne nezavozuje.

36:11  Mansueti autem hæreditabunt terram, et delectabuntur in multitudine pacis.

36:12  The sinner shall watch the just man: and shall gnash upon him with his teeth.

36:12  There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

36:12  Kéž na mě nevtrhne zpupná noha, ruka svévolných kéž ze mne neučiní štvance!

36:12  Ať už nešlape po mně noha pyšných, ruka darebáků ať nepronásleduje mě!

36:12  Kéž na mě nevstoupí noha pyšných a ruka ničemů kéž mě neodežene.

36:12  Tam, kdež padají činitelé nepravosti, poraženi bývají, a nemohou povstati.

36:12  Observabit peccator justum, et stridebit super eum dentibus suis.

36:13  But the Lord shall laugh at him: for he foreseeth that his day shall come.

36:13  Ano, pachatelé ničemností padli, jsou sraženi, nejsou schopni povstat.

36:13  Tam, kde zlosynové padnou, ležet zůstanou, už nevstanou!

36:13  Tam padli činitelé nepravosti, jsou sraženi a nemohou povstat.

36:13  Dominus autem irridebit eum, quoniam prospicit quod veniet dies ejus.

36:14  The wicked have drawn out the sword: they have bent their bow. To cast down the poor and needy, to kill the upright of heart.

36:14  Gladium evaginaverunt peccatores ; intenderunt arcum suum : ut dejiciant pauperem et inopem, ut trucident rectos corde.

36:15  Let their sword enter into their own hearts, and let their bow be broken.

36:15  Gladius eorum intret in corda ipsorum, et arcus eorum confringatur.

36:16  Better is a little to the just, than the great riches of the wicked.

36:16  Melius est modicum justo, super divitias peccatorum multas :

36:17  For the arms of the wicked shall be broken in pieces; but the Lord strengtheneth the just.

36:17  quoniam brachia peccatorum conterentur : confirmat autem justos Dominus.

36:18  The Lord knoweth the days of the undefiled; and their inheritance shall be for ever.

36:18  Novit Dominus dies immaculatorum, et hæreditas eorum in æternum erit.

36:19  They shall not be confounded in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be filled:

36:19  Non confundentur in tempore malo, et in diebus famis saturabuntur :

36:20  Because the wicked shall perish. And the enemies of the Lord, presently after they shall be honoured and exalted, shall come to nothing and vanish like smoke.

36:20  quia peccatores peribunt. Inimici vero Domini mox ut honorificati fuerint et exaltati, deficientes quemadmodum fumus deficient.

36:21  The sinner shall borrow, and not pay again; but the just sheweth mercy and shall give.

36:21  Mutuabitur peccator, et non solvet ; justus autem miseretur et tribuet :

36:22  For such as bless him shall inherit the land: but such as curse him shall perish.

36:22  quia benedicentes ei hæreditabunt terram ; maledicentes autem ei disperibunt.

36:23  With the Lord shall the steps of a man be directed, and he shall like well his way.

36:23  Apud Dominum gressus hominis dirigentur, et viam ejus volet.

36:24  When he shall fall he shall not be bruised, for the Lord putteth his hand under him.

36:24  Cum ceciderit, non collidetur, quia Dominus supponit manum suam.

36:25  I have been young and now am old; and I have not seen the just forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.

36:25  Junior fui, etenim senui ; et non vidi justum derelictum, nec semen ejus quærens panem.

36:26  He sheweth mercy, and lendeth all the day long; and his seed shall be in blessing.

36:26  Tota die miseretur et commodat ; et semen illius in benedictione erit.

36:27  Decline from evil and do good, and dwell for ever and ever.

36:27  Declina a malo, et fac bonum, et inhabita in sæculum sæculi :

36:28  For the Lord loveth judgment, and will not forsake his saints: they shall be preserved for ever. The unjust shall be punished, and the seed of the wicked shall perish.

36:28  quia Dominus amat judicium, et non derelinquet sanctos suos : in æternum conservabuntur. Injusti punientur, et semen impiorum peribit.

36:29  But the just shall inherit the land, and shall dwell therein for evermore.

36:29  Justi autem hæreditabunt terram, et inhabitabunt in sæculum sæculi super eam.

36:30  The mouth of the just shall meditate wisdom: and his tongue shall speak judgment.

36:30  Os justi meditabitur sapientiam, et lingua ejus loquetur judicium.

36:31  The law of his God is in his heart, and his steps shall not be supplanted.

36:31  Lex Dei ejus in corde ipsius, et non supplantabuntur gressus ejus.

36:32  The wicked watcheth the just man, and seeketh to put him to death,

36:32  Considerat peccator justum, et quærit mortificare eum.

36:33  But the Lord will not leave him in his hands; nor condemn him when he shall be judged.

36:33  Dominus autem non derelinquet eum in manibus ejus, nec damnabit eum cum judicabitur illi.

36:34  Expect the Lord and keep his way: and he will exalt thee to inherit the land: when the sinners shall perish thou shalt see.

36:34  Exspecta Dominum, et custodi viam ejus, et exaltabit te ut hæreditate capias terram : cum perierint peccatores, videbis.

36:35  I have seen the wicked highly exalted, and lifted up like the cedars of Libanus.

36:35  Vidi impium superexaltatum, et elevatum sicut cedros Libani :

36:36  And I passed by, and lo, he was not: and I sought him and his place was not found.

36:36  et transivi, et ecce non erat ; et quæsivi eum, et non est inventus locus ejus.

36:37  Keep innocence, and behold justice: for there are remnants for the peaceable man.

36:37  Custodi innocentiam, et vide æquitatem, quoniam sunt reliquiæ homini pacifico.

36:38  But the unjust shall be destroyed together: the remnants of the wicked shall perish.

36:38  Injusti autem disperibunt simul ; reliquiæ impiorum interibunt.

36:39  But the salvation of the just is from the Lord, and he is their protector in the time of trouble.

36:39  Salus autem justorum a Domino ; et protector eorum in tempore tribulationis.

36:40  And the Lord will help them and deliver them: and he will rescue them from the wicked, and save them because they have hoped in him.

36:40  Et adjuvabit eos Dominus, et liberabit eos ; et eruet eos a peccatoribus, et salvabit eos, quia speraverunt in eo.
