Chapter 25
Matt Worsley 25:1  Then will the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom: and five of them were wise,
Matt Worsley 25:3  The foolish ones took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
Matt Worsley 25:4  but the wise took oil in their vessels as well as in their lamps.
Matt Worsley 25:5  Now while the bridegroom stayed, they were all drowsy and fell asleep:
Matt Worsley 25:6  and in the middle of the night there was a cry, The bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him.
Matt Worsley 25:7  Then all the virgins rose up and trimmed their lamps:
Matt Worsley 25:8  and the foolish ones said to the wise, Give us of your oil, for our lamps are going out:
Matt Worsley 25:9  but the wise answered them, saying, Least there should not be enough for us and you, go rather to them that sell it, and buy for yourselves.
Matt Worsley 25:10  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with him to the wedding-feast, and then the door was shut.
Matt Worsley 25:11  Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us:
Matt Worsley 25:12  but he answered them, Verily I declare unto you, I do not know you.
Matt Worsley 25:13  Watch therefore, for ye know not the day, nor the season in which the Son of man cometh.
Matt Worsley 25:14  For as a man, who was going to travel abroad, called his servants, and delivered to them his stock: and to one he gave five talents,
Matt Worsley 25:15  to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability: and then he took his journey.
Matt Worsley 25:16  Now he that had received the five talents, went and traded with them, and gained other five talents:
Matt Worsley 25:17  and likewise he that had the two, he also gained two more:
Matt Worsley 25:18  but he who had received the one, went and digged in the earth, and hid his master's money:
Matt Worsley 25:19  and after some time the lord of those servants cometh and settleth his account with them.
Matt Worsley 25:20  And he who had received the five talents came and brought to him five talents more, saying, Sir, thou deliveredst to me five talents, behold I have gained other five talents to them:
Matt Worsley 25:21  and his lord said to him, Well done, my good and trusty servant, thou hast been faithful in a few things, I will set thee over many, enter into thy master's joy.
Matt Worsley 25:22  And he also who had received the two talents came to him and said, Lord, thou deliveredst to me two talents, behold I have gained two other talents with them:
Matt Worsley 25:23  his lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful in a few things, I will set thee over many, enter into the joy of thy lord.
Matt Worsley 25:24  And he also who received the one talent came to him and said, Sir, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou sowedst not, and gathering where thou hast not strewed;
Matt Worsley 25:25  and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the ground; behold, there is thine own:
Matt Worsley 25:26  but his lord answered and said to him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed;
Matt Worsley 25:27  thou oughtest then to have put my money to the bankers, and when I came I should have received my own with interest.
Matt Worsley 25:28  Take ye therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that hath the ten talents;
Matt Worsley 25:29  (for to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound; but from him that hath not, even what he hath, or seemeth to have, shall be taken away:)
Matt Worsley 25:30  and cast out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matt Worsley 25:31  So when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon his glorious throne:
Matt Worsley 25:32  and all nations shall be assembled before Him; and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats:
Matt Worsley 25:33  and He shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.
Matt Worsley 25:34  Then will the king say to them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Matt Worsley 25:35  for I was famishing, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;
Matt Worsley 25:36  I was naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye took care of me; I was in prison, and ye visited me.
Matt Worsley 25:37  Then will the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Matt Worsley 25:38  and when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in?
Matt Worsley 25:39  or naked, and clothed thee? and when did we see thee sick, or in prison, and visited thee?
Matt Worsley 25:40  And the king replying will say unto them, Verily I declare unto you, inasmuch as ye did it to one of the lest of these my brethren, ye did it to me.
Matt Worsley 25:41  Then will He say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Matt Worsley 25:42  for I was famishing, and ye gave me nothing to eat; I was a-thirst, and ye gave me no drink;
Matt Worsley 25:43  I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye took no care of me.
Matt Worsley 25:44  Then will they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee famishing, or a-thirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not relieve thee?
Matt Worsley 25:45  Then will He reply to them, saying, Verily I tell you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the lest of these, ye did it not to me.
Matt Worsley 25:46  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life everlasting.
