Chapter 24
Matt Worsley 24:1  And as Jesus went out, and was departing from the temple, his disciples came to observe to Him the magnificent buildings.
Matt Worsley 24:2  But Jesus said unto them, Do ye see all these things? Verily I tell you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be demolished.
Matt Worsley 24:3  And when He was got to the mount of olives, the disciples came to Him in private and said, Tell us when these things shall be, and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world.
Matt Worsley 24:4  And Jesus answered them, See that no one deceive you:
Matt Worsley 24:5  for many shall come in my name saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many.
Matt Worsley 24:6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, but be not troubled; for all these must indeed come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Matt Worsley 24:7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in several places:
Matt Worsley 24:9  Then shall they afflict you, and kill you; and ye shall be hated by all nations for my name:
Matt Worsley 24:10  and then will many take offense, and betray one another, and hate one another: and many false prophets will rise up and deceive many:
Matt Worsley 24:14  and this gospel of the kingdom of heaven shall be preached in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end come.
Matt Worsley 24:15  When therefore ye shall see the desolating abomination, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing at the holy place, (let him, that readeth, attend) then let those in Judea flee to the mountains:
Matt Worsley 24:16  let not him that is at the top of the house come down into it,
Matt Worsley 24:18  nor let him that is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Matt Worsley 24:19  But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days.
Matt Worsley 24:20  Pray that your flight be not in the winter, nor on the sabbath:
Matt Worsley 24:21  for there shall be then great affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the world unto this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Matt Worsley 24:22  And unless those days be shortened, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.
Matt Worsley 24:23  Then if any shall say to you, Behold here is the Messiah, or there; believe it not:
Matt Worsley 24:24  for there shall rise up false Christs, and false prophets, who shall shew great signs and prodigies, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Matt Worsley 24:25  Lo, I have told you before-hand: and therefore if they say to you,
Matt Worsley 24:26  Behold, he is in the desert, go not out: behold, he is the secret chambers, believe them not:
Matt Worsley 24:27  for as the lightning cometh from the east, and flashes in an instant even to the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.
Matt Worsley 24:28  For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Matt Worsley 24:29  And immediately after the affliction of those days, the fun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give it's light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Matt Worsley 24:30  and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming as on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory:
Matt Worsley 24:31  and He will send forth his messengers with a trumpet of a loud voice, and they shall gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matt Worsley 24:32  Now learn a parable from the fig-tree: when it's branch is tender and bringeth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh;
Matt Worsley 24:33  so ye also, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near even at the doors.
Matt Worsley 24:34  Verily I tell you, this generation shall not pass away, till all these be fulfilled.
Matt Worsley 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Matt Worsley 24:36  But of THAT day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only:
Matt Worsley 24:37  for as the days of Noah were, so shall be also the coming of the Son of man;
Matt Worsley 24:38  for as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark,
Matt Worsley 24:39  and knew not of it till the deluge came and took them all away; so shall be also the coming of the Son of man.
Matt Worsley 24:40  Then there shall be two in the field, the one shall be taken and the other left:
Matt Worsley 24:41  and two women grinding at the mill, one taken and one left.
Matt Worsley 24:42  Watch therefore, for ye know not at what hour your Lord cometh:
Matt Worsley 24:43  but this ye know, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broke open: therefore be ye also ready;
Matt Worsley 24:44  for the Son of man cometh at a time that ye think not of.
Matt Worsley 24:45  Who then is the faithful and prudent servant, whom his lord hath set over his family to give them food in due season?
Matt Worsley 24:46  blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so employed:
Matt Worsley 24:47  verily I tell you, that he will set him over his whole estate.
Matt Worsley 24:48  But if that servant be wicked and say in his heart, my master delayeth his coming,
Matt Worsley 24:49  and begin to beat his fellow-servants, and to revel with drunkards:
Matt Worsley 24:50  the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doth not expect him, and in an hour which he knows not,
Matt Worsley 24:51  and will cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with hypocrites: where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
