John KJV 1:7  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
John DRC 1:8  He was not the light, but was to give testimony of the light.
John KJV 1:8  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John DRC 1:9  That was the true light, which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world.

John DRC 1:10  He was in the world: and the world was made by him: and the world knew him not.

John KJV 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John DRC 1:13  Who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John KJV 1:13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John KJV 1:20  And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
John DRC 1:21  And they asked him: What then? Art thou Elias? And he said: I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered: No.
John VulgClem 1:21  Et interrogaverunt eum : Quid ergo ? Elias es tu ? Et dixit : Non sum. Propheta es tu ? Et respondit : Non.
John KJV 1:21  And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
John DRC 1:22  They said therefore unto him: Who art thou, that we may give an answer to them that sent us? What sayest thou of thyself?
John KJV 1:22  Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
John DRC 1:23  He said: I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaias.

John KJV 1:25  And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
John DRC 1:26  John answered them, saying: I baptize with water: but there hath stood one in the midst of you, whom you know not.
John VulgClem 1:26  Respondit eis Joannes, dicens : Ego baptizo in aqua : medius autem vestrum stetit, quem vos nescitis.
John KJV 1:26  John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
John DRC 1:27  The same is he that shall come after me, who is preferred before me: the latchet of whose shoe I am not worthy to loose.

John KJV 1:30  This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
John DRC 1:31  And I knew him not: but that he may be made manifest in Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

John KJV 1:32  And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
John DRC 1:33  And I knew him not: but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me: He upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining upon him, he it is that baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
John KJV 1:33  And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

John DRC 1:39  He saith to them: Come and see. They came and saw where he abode: and they stayed with him that day. Now it was about the tenth hour.
John KJV 1:39  He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
