19:1  And the second lot came forth for the children of Simeon by their kindreds: and their inheritance was

19:1  And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah.

19:1  Et egressa est sors secunda filiorum Simeon per cognationes suas : fuitque hæreditas

19:2  In the midst of the possession of the children of Juda: Bersabee and Sabee and Molada

19:2  And they had in their inheritance Beer–sheba, or Sheba, and Moladah,

19:2  eorum in medio possessionis filiorum Juda : Bersabee et Sabee et Molada

19:3  And Hasersual, Bala and Asem,

19:3  And Hazar–shual, and Balah, and Azem,

19:3  et Hasersual, Bala et Asem

19:4  And Eltholad, Bethul and Harma,

19:4  And Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,

19:4  et Eltholad, Bethul et Harma

19:5  And Siceleg and Bethmarchaboth and Hasersusa,

19:5  And Ziklag, and Beth–marcaboth, and Hazar–susah,

19:5  et Siceleg et Bethmarchaboth et Hasersusa

19:6  And Bethlebaoth and Sarohen: thirteen cities, and their villages.

19:6  And Beth–lebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities and their villages:

19:6  et Bethlebaoth et Sarohen : civitates tredecim, et villæ earum.

19:7  And Remmon and Athor and Asan: four cities, and their villages.

19:7  Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages:

19:7  Ain et Remmon et Athar et Asan : civitates quatuor, et villæ earum :

19:8  And all the villages round about these cities to Baalath Beer Ramath to the south quarter. This is the inheritance of the children of Simeon according to their kindreds,

19:8  And all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalath–beer, Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

19:8  omnes viculi per circuitum urbium istarum usque ad Baalath Beer Ramath contra australem plagam. Hæc est hæreditas filiorum Simeon juxta cognationes suas,

19:9  In the possession and lot of the children of Juda: because it was too great, and therefore the children of Simeon had their possession in the midst of their inheritance.

19:9  Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them.

19:9  in possessione et funiculo filiorum Juda : quia major erat, et idcirco filii Simeon possederunt in medio hæreditatis eorum.

19:10  And the third lot fell to the children of Zabulon by their kindreds: and the border of their possession was unto Sarid.

19:10  And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid:

19:10  Ceciditque sors tertia filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas : factus est terminus possessionis eorum usque Sarid.

19:11  And It went up from the sea and from Merala, and came to Debbaseth: as far as the torrent, which is over against Jeconam.

19:11  And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam;

19:11  Ascenditque de mari et Merala, et pervenit in Debbaseth, usque ad torrentem qui est contra Jeconam.

19:12  And it returneth from Sarid eastward to the borders of Ceseleththabor: and it goeth out to Dabereth and ascendeth towards Japhie.

19:12  And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chisloth–tabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia,

19:12  Et revertitur de Sared contra orientem in fines Ceseleththabor : et egreditur ad Dabereth, ascenditque contra Japhie.

19:13  And it passeth along from thence to the east side of Gethhepher and Thacasin: and goeth out to Remmon, Amthar and Noa.

19:13  And from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittah–hepher, to Ittah–kazin, and goeth out to Remmon–methoar to Neah;

19:13  Et inde pertransit usque ad orientalem plagam Gethepher et Thacasin : et egreditur in Remmon, Amthar et Noa.

19:14  And it turneth about to the north of Hanathon: and the outgoings thereof are the valley of Jephtahel,

19:14  And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthah–el:

19:14  Et circuit ad aquilonem Hanathon : suntque egressus ejus vallis Jephthaël,

19:15  And Cateth and Naalol and Semeron and Jedala and Bethlehem: twelve cities and their villages.

19:15  And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Beth–lehem: twelve cities with their villages.

19:15  et Cateth et Naalol et Semeron et Jerala et Bethlehem : civitates duodecim, et villæ earum.

19:16  This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Zabulon by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

19:16  This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

19:16  Hæc est hæreditas tribus filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

19:17  The fourth lot came out to Issachar by their kindreds.

19:17  And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families.

19:17  Issachar egressa est sors quarta per cognationes suas :

19:18  And his inheritance was Jezrael and Casaloth and Sunem,

19:18  And their border was toward Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

19:18  fuitque ejus hæreditas Jezraël et Casaloth et Sunem

19:19  And Hapharaim and Seon and Anaharath,

19:19  And Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath,

19:19  et Hapharaim et Seon, et Anaharath

19:20  And Rabboth and Cesion, Abes,

19:20  And Rabbith, and Kishion, and Abez,

19:20  et Rabboth et Cesion, Abes,

19:21  And Rameth and Engannim and Enhadda and Bethpheses.

19:21  And Remeth, and En–gannim, and En–haddah, and Beth–pazzez;

19:21  et Rameth, et Engannim, et Enhadda et Bethpheses.

19:22  And the border thereof cometh to Thabor and Sehesima and Bethsames: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the Jordan: sixteen cities, and their villages.

19:22  And the coast reacheth to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Beth–shemesh; and the outgoings of their border were at Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.

19:22  Et pervenit terminus ejus usque Thabor et Sehesima et Bethsames, eruntque exitus ejus Jordanis : civitates sedecim, et villæ earum.

19:23  This is the possession of the sons of Issachar by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

19:23  This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.

19:23  Hæc est possessio filiorum Issachar per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

19:24  And the fifth lot fell to the tribe of the children of Aser by their kindreds:

19:24  And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

19:24  Ceciditque sors quinta tribui filiorum Aser per cognationes suas :

19:25  And their border was Halcath and Chali and Beten and Axaph,

19:25  And their border was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph,

19:25  fuitque terminus eorum Halcath et Chali et Beten et Axaph

19:26  And Elmelech and Amaad and Messal: and it reacheth to Carmel by the sea and Sihor and Labanath,

19:26  And Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal; and reacheth to Carmel westward, and to Shihor–libnath;

19:26  et Elmelech et Amaad et Messal : et pervenit usque ad Carmelum maris et Sihor et Labanath,

19:27  And it returneth towards the east to Bethdagon: and passeth along to Zabulon and to the valley of Jephthael towards the north to Bethemec and Nehiel. And it goeth out to the left side of Cabul,

19:27  And turneth toward the sunrising to Beth–dagon, and reacheth to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthah–el toward the north side of Beth–emek, and Neiel, and goeth out to Cabul on the left hand,

19:27  ac revertitur contra orientem Bethdagon : et pertransit usque Zabulon et vallem Jephthaël contra aquilonem in Bethemec et Nehiel. Egrediturque ad lævam Cabul,

19:28  And to Abaran and Rohob and Hamon and Cana, as far as the great Sidon.

19:28  And Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Zidon;

19:28  et Abran et Rohob et Hamon et Cana, usque ad Sidonem magnam.

19:29  And it returneth to Horma to the strong city of Tyre, and to Hosa: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the sea from the portion of Achziba:

19:29  And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib:

19:29  Revertiturque in Horma usque ad civitatem munitissimam Tyrum, et usque Hosa : eruntque exitus ejus in mare de funiculo Achziba :

19:30  And Amma and Aphec and Rohob: twenty-two cities, and their villages.

19:30  Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages.

19:30  et Amma et Aphec et Rohob : civitates viginti duæ, et villæ earum.

19:31  This is the possession of the children of Aser by their kindreds, and the cities and their villages.

19:31  This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

19:31  Hæc est possessio filiorum Aser per cognationes suas, urbesque et viculi earum.

19:32  The sixth lot came out to the sons of Nephtali by their families:

19:32  The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

19:32  Filiorum Nephthali sexta sors cecidit per familias suas :

19:33  And the border began from Heleph and Elon to Saananim, and Adami, which is Neceb, and Jebnael even to Lecum:

19:33  And their coast was from Heleph, from Allon to Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakum; and the outgoings thereof were at Jordan:

19:33  et cœpit terminus de Heleph et Elon in Saananim, et Adami, quæ est Neceb, et Jebnaël usque Lecum : et egressus eorum usque ad Jordanem :

19:34  And the border returneth westward to Azanotthabor, and goeth out from thence to Hucuca, and passeth along to Zabulon southward, and to Aser westward, and to Juda upon the Jordan towards the rising of the sun.

19:34  And then the coast turneth westward to Aznoth–tabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west side, and to Judah upon Jordan toward the sunrising.

19:34  revertiturque terminus contra occidentem in Azanotthabor, atque inde egreditur in Hucuca, et pertransit in Zabulon contra meridiem, et in Aser contra occidentem, et in Juda ad Jordanem contra ortum solis :

19:35  And the strong cities are Assedim, Ser, and Emath, and Reccath and Cenereth,

19:35  And the fenced cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,

19:35  civitates munitissimæ, Assedim, Ser, et Emath, et Reccath et Cenereth,

19:36  And Edema and Arama, Asor,

19:36  And Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor,

19:36  et Edema et Arama, Asor

19:37  And Cedes and Edri, Enhasor,

19:37  And Kedesh, and Edrei, and En–hazor,

19:37  et Cedes et Edrai, Enhasor,

19:38  And Jeron and Magdalel, Horem, and Bethanath and Bethsames: nineteen cities, and their villages.

19:38  And Iron, and Migdal–el, Horem, and Beth–anath, and Beth–shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.

19:38  et Jeron et Magdalel, Horem et Bethanath et Bethsames : civitates decem et novem, et villæ earum.

19:39  This is the possession of the tribe of the children of Nephtali by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

19:39  This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages.

19:39  Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Nephthali per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

19:40  The seventh lot came out to the tribe of the children of Dan by their families

19:40  And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

19:40  Tribui filiorum Dan per familias suas egressa est sors septima :

19:41  And the border of their possession was Saraa and Esthaol, and Hirsemes, that is, the city of the sun,

19:41  And the coast of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Ir–shemesh,

19:41  et fuit terminus possessionis ejus Sara et Esthaol, et Hirsemes, id est, civitas solis.

19:42  Selebin and Aialon and Jethela,

19:42  And Shaalabbin, and Ajalon, and Jethlah,

19:42  Selebin et Ajalon et Jethela,

19:43  Elon and Themna and Acron,

19:43  And Elon, and Thimnathah, and Ekron,

19:43  Elon et Themna et Acron,

19:44  Elthece, Gebbethon and Balaath,

19:45  And Juda and Bane and Barach and Gethremmon:

19:45  And Jehud, and Bene–berak, and Gath–rimmon,

19:46  And Mejarcon and Arecon, with the border that looketh towards Joppe,

19:46  And Me–jarkon, and Rakkon, with the border before Japho.

19:46  et Mejarcon et Arecon, cum termino qui respicit Joppen,

19:47  And is terminated there. And the children of Dan went up and fought against Lesem, and took it: and they put it to the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt in it, calling the name of it Lesem Dan, by the name of Dan their father.

19:47  And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

19:47  et ipso fine concluditur. Ascenderuntque filii Dan, et pugnaverunt contra Lesem, ceperuntque eam : et percusserunt eam in ore gladii, et possederunt, et habitaverunt in ea, vocantes nomen ejus Lesem Dan, ex nomine Dan patris sui.

19:48  This is the possession of the tribe of the sons of Dan, by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

19:48  This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.

19:48  Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Dan, per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

19:49  And when he had made an end of dividing the land by lot to each one by their tribes, the children of Israel gave a possession to Joshua the son of Nun in the midst of them,

19:49  When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them:

19:49  Cumque complesset sorte dividere terram singulis per tribus suas, dederunt filii Israël possessionem Josue filio Nun in medio sui,

19:50  According to the commandment of the Lord, the city which he asked for, Thamnath Saraa, in mount Ephraim: and he built up the city, and dwelt in it.

19:50  According to the word of the Lord they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnath–serah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city, and dwelt therein.

19:50  juxta præceptum Domini, urbem quam postulavit Thamnath Saraa in monte Ephraim : et ædificavit civitatem, habitavitque in ea.

19:51  These are the possessions which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the princes of the families, and of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed by lot in Silo, before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and they divided the land.

19:51  These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.

19:51  Hæ sunt possessiones, quas sorte diviserunt Eleazar sacerdos, et Josue filius Nun, et principes familiarum ac tribuum filiorum Israël in Silo, coram Domino ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii : partitique sunt terram.
