Chapter 105
Psal DRC 105:1  Give glory to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psal VulgClem 105:1  Alleluja. Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus, quoniam in sæculum misericordia ejus.
Psal KJV 105:1  O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
Psal DRC 105:2  Who shall declare the powers of the Lord? who shall set forth all his praises?
Psal VulgClem 105:2  Quis loquetur potentias Domini ; auditas faciet omnes laudes ejus ?
Psal KJV 105:2  Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
Psal DRC 105:3  Blessed are they that keep judgment, and do justice at all times.
Psal VulgClem 105:3  Beati qui custodiunt judicium, et faciunt justitiam in omni tempore.
Psal KJV 105:3  Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
Psal DRC 105:4  Remember us, O Lord, in the favour of thy people: visit us with thy salvation.

Psal KJV 105:4  Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Psal DRC 105:5  That we may see the good of thy chosen, that we may rejoice in the joy of thy nation: that thou mayst be praised with thy inheritance.
Psal VulgClem 105:5  ad videndum in bonitate electorum tuorum ; ad lætandum in lætitia gentis tuæ : ut lauderis cum hæreditate tua.
Psal KJV 105:5  Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Psal DRC 105:6  We have sinned with our fathers: we have acted unjustly, we have wrought iniquity.
Psal VulgClem 105:6  Peccavimus cum patribus nostris : injuste egimus ; iniquitatem fecimus.
Psal KJV 105:6  O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
Psal DRC 105:7  Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt: they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies: And they provoked to wrath going up to the sea, even the Red Sea.
Psal VulgClem 105:7  Patres nostri in Ægypto non intellexerunt mirabilia tua ; non fuerunt memores multitudinis misericordiæ tuæ. Et irritaverunt ascendentes in mare, mare Rubrum ;
Psal KJV 105:7  He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
Psal DRC 105:8  And he saved them for his own name's sake: that he might make his power known.
Psal VulgClem 105:8  et salvavit eos propter nomen suum, ut notam faceret potentiam suam.
Psal KJV 105:8  He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
Psal DRC 105:9  And he rebuked the Red Sea and it was dried up: and he led them through the depths, as in a wilderness.

Psal KJV 105:12  When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
Psal DRC 105:13  They had quickly done, they forgot his works: and they waited not for his counsel.

Psal KJV 105:13  When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
Psal DRC 105:14  And they coveted their desire in the desert: and they tempted God in the place without water.

Psal KJV 105:14  He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

Psal KJV 105:15  Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Psal KJV 105:16  Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
Psal DRC 105:17  The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan: and covered the congregation of Abiron.

Psal KJV 105:17  He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
Psal DRC 105:18  And a fire was kindled in their congregation: the flame burned the wicked.

Psal KJV 105:18  Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
Psal DRC 105:19  They made also a calf in Horeb: and they adored the graven thing.

Psal KJV 105:19  Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.
Psal DRC 105:20  And they changed their glory into the likeness of a calf that eateth grass.
Psal VulgClem 105:20  Et mutaverunt gloriam suam in similitudinem vituli comedentis fœnum.
Psal KJV 105:20  The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
Psal DRC 105:21  They forgot God, who saved them, who had done great things in Egypt,
Psal VulgClem 105:21  Obliti sunt Deum qui salvavit eos ; qui fecit magnalia in Ægypto,
Psal KJV 105:21  He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
Psal DRC 105:22  Wondrous works in the land of Cham: terrible things in the Red Sea.

Psal KJV 105:22  To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
Psal DRC 105:23  And he said that he would destroy them: had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach: To turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
Psal VulgClem 105:23  Et dixit ut disperderet eos, si non Moyses, electus ejus, stetisset in confractione in conspectu ejus, ut averteret iram ejus, ne disperderet eos.
Psal KJV 105:23  Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Psal DRC 105:24  And they set at nought the desirable land. They believed not his word,

Psal KJV 105:24  And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

Psal KJV 105:26  He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
Psal DRC 105:27  And to cast down their seed among the nations, and to scatter them in the countries.
Psal VulgClem 105:27  et ut dejiceret semen eorum in nationibus, et dispergeret eos in regionibus.
Psal KJV 105:27  They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Psal DRC 105:28  They also were initiated to Beelphegor: and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
Psal VulgClem 105:28  Et initiati sunt Beelphegor, et comederunt sacrificia mortuorum.
Psal KJV 105:28  He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
Psal DRC 105:29  And they provoked him with their inventions: and destruction was multiplied among them.
Psal VulgClem 105:29  Et irritaverunt eum in adinventionibus suis, et multiplicata est in eis ruina.
Psal KJV 105:29  He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
Psal DRC 105:30  Then Phinees stood up, and pacified him: and the slaughter ceased.
Psal VulgClem 105:30  Et stetit Phinees, et placavit, et cessavit quassatio.
Psal KJV 105:30  Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
Psal DRC 105:31  And it was reputed to him unto justice, to generation and generation for evermore.
Psal VulgClem 105:31  Et reputatum est ei in justitiam, in generationem et generationem usque in sempiternum.
Psal KJV 105:31  He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
Psal DRC 105:32  They provoked him also at the waters of contradiction: and Moses was afflicted for their sakes:
Psal VulgClem 105:32  Et irritaverunt eum ad aquas contradictionis, et vexatus est Moyses propter eos :
Psal KJV 105:32  He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
Psal DRC 105:33  Because they exasperated his spirit. And he distinguished with his lips.
Psal VulgClem 105:33  quia exacerbaverunt spiritum ejus, et distinxit in labiis suis.
Psal KJV 105:33  He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
Psal DRC 105:34  They did not destroy the nations of which the Lord spoke unto them.
Psal VulgClem 105:34  Non disperdiderunt gentes quas dixit Dominus illis :
Psal KJV 105:34  He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
Psal DRC 105:35  And they were mingled among the heathens, and learned their works:
Psal VulgClem 105:35  et commisti sunt inter gentes, et didicerunt opera eorum ;
Psal KJV 105:35  And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
Psal DRC 105:36  And served their idols, and it became a stumblingblock to them.
Psal VulgClem 105:36  et servierunt sculptilibus eorum, et factum est illis in scandalum.
Psal KJV 105:36  He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
Psal DRC 105:37  And they sacrificed their sons, and their daughters to devils.
Psal VulgClem 105:37  Et immolaverunt filios suos et filias suas dæmoniis.
Psal KJV 105:37  He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Psal DRC 105:38  And they shed innocent blood: the blood of their sons and of their daughters which they sacrificed to the idols of Chanaan. And the land was polluted with blood,
Psal VulgClem 105:38  Et effuderunt sanguinem innocentem, sanguinem filiorum suorum et filiarum suarum, quas sacrificaverunt sculptilibus Chanaan. Et infecta est terra in sanguinibus,
Psal KJV 105:38  Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
Psal DRC 105:39  And was defiled with their works: and they went aside after their own inventions.
Psal VulgClem 105:39  et contaminata est in operibus eorum : et fornicati sunt in adinventionibus suis.
Psal KJV 105:39  He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
Psal DRC 105:40  And the Lord was exceedingly angry with his people: and he abhorred his inheritance.
Psal VulgClem 105:40  Et iratus est furore Dominus in populum suum, et abominatus est hæreditatem suam.
Psal KJV 105:40  The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Psal DRC 105:41  And he delivered them into the hands of the nations: and they that hated them had dominion over them.
Psal VulgClem 105:41  Et tradidit eos in manus gentium ; et dominati sunt eorum qui oderunt eos.
Psal KJV 105:41  He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
Psal DRC 105:42  And their enemies afflicted them: and they were humbled under their hands:
Psal VulgClem 105:42  Et tribulaverunt eos inimici eorum, et humiliati sunt sub manibus eorum ;
Psal KJV 105:42  For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
Psal DRC 105:43  Many times did he deliver them. But they provoked him with their counsel: and they were brought low by their iniquities.
Psal VulgClem 105:43  sæpe liberavit eos. Ipsi autem exacerbaverunt eum in consilio suo, et humiliati sunt in iniquitatibus suis.
Psal KJV 105:43  And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
Psal DRC 105:44  And he saw when they were in tribulation: and he heard their prayer.
Psal VulgClem 105:44  Et vidit cum tribularentur, et audivit orationem eorum.
Psal KJV 105:44  And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
Psal DRC 105:45  And he was mindful of his covenant: and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
Psal VulgClem 105:45  Et memor fuit testamenti sui, et pœnituit eum secundum multitudinem misericordiæ suæ :
Psal KJV 105:45  That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.
Psal DRC 105:46  And he gave them unto mercies, in the sight of all those that had made them captives.

Psal DRC 105:47  Save us, O Lord, our God: and gather us from among the nations: That we may give thanks to thy holy name, and may glory in thy praise.
