24:3  Zavazuji tě přísahou při Hospodinu, Bohu nebes a Bohu země, abys nebral pro mého syna ženu z dcer Kenaanců, mezi nimiž sídlím.

24:3  abych tě zavázal přísahou při Hospodinu, Bohu nebe a Bohu země, že nevybereš mému synovi manželku z dcer Kanaánců, mezi nimiž bydlím,

24:5  And the servant said to him, It may be the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land: must I needs bring thy son again to the land from whence thou camest?

24:6  And Abraham said: Beware thou never bring my son back again thither.

24:9  The servant, therefore, put his hand under the thigh of Abraham, his lord, and swore to him upon his word.

24:10  Služebník tedy vzal deset velbloudů svého pána a jel. Vybaven všelijakými drahocennostmi svého pána vydal se na cestu do aramského Dvojříčí, do města Náchorova.

24:10  Potom vzal ze stáda svého pána deset velbloudů (neboť ho jeho pán na cestu vypravil všelijakými cennostmi) a vyrazil do mezopotamského Aramu k Náchorovu městu.

24:10  Pak ten otrok vzal z velbloudů svého pána deset kusů a odešel, s sebou měl všelijaké ⌈vzácné dary⌉ svého pána. Vydal se do ⌈Aramského Dvojříčí,⌉ do města Náchorova.

24:14  And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: [let the same be] she [that] thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and by that shall I know that thou hast shown kindness to my master.

24:14  Let it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say, 'Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink,' and she will say, 'Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink,'-let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master."

24:15  He had not yet ended these words within himself, and behold Rebecca came out, the daughter of Bathuel, son of Melcha, wife to Nachor the brother of Abraham, having a pitcher on her shoulder:

24:15  And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

24:16  An exceeding comely maid, and a most beautiful virgin, and not known to man: and she went down to the spring, and filled her pitcher, and was coming back.

24:16  And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
