Chapter 18
Psal DRC 18:1  Unto the end. A Psalm for David.

Psal KJV 18:1  I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
Psal DRC 18:2  The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work of his hands.
Psal VulgClem 18:2  Cæli enarrant gloriam Dei, et opera manuum ejus annuntiat firmamentum.
Psal KJV 18:2  The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Psal DRC 18:3  Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night sheweth knowledge.
Psal VulgClem 18:3  Dies diei eructat verbum, et nox nocti indicat scientiam.
Psal KJV 18:3  I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
Psal DRC 18:4  There are no speeches nor languages, where their voices are not heard.
Psal VulgClem 18:4  Non sunt loquelæ, neque sermones, quorum non audiantur voces eorum.
Psal KJV 18:4  The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
Psal DRC 18:5  Their sound hath gone forth into all the earth: and their words unto the ends of the world.

Psal KJV 18:5  The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
Psal DRC 18:6  He hath set his tabernacle in the sun: and he as a bridegroom coming out of his bridechamber, Hath rejoiced as a giant to run the way:

Psal KJV 18:6  In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Psal DRC 18:7  His going out is from the end of heaven, And his circuit even to the end thereof: and there is no one that can hide himself from his heat.
Psal VulgClem 18:7  a summo cælo egressio ejus. Et occursus ejus usque ad summum ejus ; nec est qui se abscondat a calore ejus.
Psal KJV 18:7  Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
Psal DRC 18:8  The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.
Psal VulgClem 18:8  Lex Domini immaculata, convertens animas ; testimonium Domini fidele, sapientiam præstans parvulis.
Psal KJV 18:8  There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
Psal DRC 18:9  The justices of the Lord are right, rejoicing hearts: the commandment of the Lord is lightsome, enlightening the eyes.

Psal KJV 18:9  He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
Psal DRC 18:10  The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves.

Psal KJV 18:10  And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
Psal DRC 18:11  More to be desired than gold and many precious stones: and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
Psal VulgClem 18:11  desiderabilia super aurum et lapidem pretiosum multum, et dulciora super mel et favum.
Psal KJV 18:11  He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
Psal DRC 18:12  For thy servant keepeth them, and in keeping them there is a great reward.

Psal KJV 18:12  At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
Psal DRC 18:13  Who can understand sins? from my secret ones cleanse me, O Lord:
Psal VulgClem 18:13  Delicta quis intelligit ? ab occultis meis munda me ;
Psal KJV 18:13  The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
Psal DRC 18:14  And from those of others spare thy servant. If they shall have no dominion over me, then shall I be without spot: and I shall be cleansed from the greatest sin.
Psal VulgClem 18:14  et ab alienis parce servo tuo. Si mei non fuerint dominati, tunc immaculatus ero, et emundabor a delicto maximo.
Psal KJV 18:14  Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
Psal DRC 18:15  And the words of my mouth shall be such as may please: and the meditation of my heart always in thy sight. O Lord, my helper and my Redeemer.
Psal VulgClem 18:15  Et erunt ut complaceant eloquia oris mei, et meditatio cordis mei in conspectu tuo semper. Domine, adjutor meus, et redemptor meus.
Psal KJV 18:15  Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
