II S VulgClem 22:6  Funes inferni circumdederunt me : prævenerunt me laquei mortis.
II S KJV 22:6  The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
II S DRC 22:7  In my distress I will call upon the Lord, and I will cry to my God: and he will hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry shall come to his ears.

II S DRC 22:23  For all his judgments are in my sight: and his precepts I have not removed from me.
II S VulgClem 22:23  Omnia enim judicia ejus in conspectu meo, et præcepta ejus non amovi a me.
II S KJV 22:23  For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.

II S KJV 22:37  Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
II S DRC 22:38  I will pursue after my enemies, and crush them: and will not return again till I consume them.
II S VulgClem 22:38  Persequar inimicos meos, et conteram, et non convertar donec consumam eos.
II S KJV 22:38  I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
II S DRC 22:39  I will consume them and break them in pieces, so that they shall not rise: they shall fall under my feet.
II S VulgClem 22:39  Consumam eos et confringam, ut non consurgant : cadent sub pedibus meis.
II S KJV 22:39  And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.
II S DRC 22:40  Thou hast girded me with strength to battle: thou hast made them that resisted me to bow under me.
II S VulgClem 22:40  Accinxisti me fortitudine ad prælium : incurvasti resistentes mihi subtus me.
II S KJV 22:40  For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.
II S DRC 22:41  My enemies thou hast made to turn their back to me: them that hated me, and I shall destroy them.
II S VulgClem 22:41  Inimicos meos dedisti mihi dorsum ; odientes me, et disperdam eos.
II S KJV 22:41  Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
II S DRC 22:42  They shall cry, and there shall be none to save: to the Lord, and he shall not hear them.
II S VulgClem 22:42  Clamabunt, et non erit qui salvet ; ad Dominum, et non exaudiet eos.
II S KJV 22:42  They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the Lord, but he answered them not.
II S DRC 22:43  I shall beat them as small as the dust of the earth: I shall crush them and spread them abroad like the mire of the streets.
II S VulgClem 22:43  Delebo eos ut pulverem terræ ; quasi lutum platearum comminuam eos atque confringam.
II S KJV 22:43  Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.
II S DRC 22:44  Thou wilt save me from the contradictions of my people: thou wilt keep me to be the head of the Gentiles: the people which I know not, shall serve me,
II S VulgClem 22:44  Salvabis me a contradictionibus populi mei ; custodies me in caput gentium : populus quem ignoro serviet mihi.
II S KJV 22:44  Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
II S DRC 22:45  The sons of the stranger will resist me, at the hearing of the ear they will obey me.
II S VulgClem 22:45  Filii alieni resistent mihi ; auditu auris obedient mihi.

II S KJV 22:48  It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
