AB - I Chronicles - 2

2:1  These are the names of the sons of Israel:

2:2  Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

2:3  The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanite woman. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was wicked before the Lord, and He killed him.

2:4  And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore to him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

2:5  The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

2:6  And the sons of Zerah were Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara-five in all.

2:7  And the son of Carmi was Achar the troubler of Israel, who was disobedient in the accursed thing.

2:8  And the son of Ethan was Azariah.

2:9  Also the sons of Hezron who were born to him were Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.

2:10  And Ram begot Amminadab, and Amminadab begot Nahshon, chief of the house of Judah.

2:11  And Nahshon begot Salma, and Salmon begot Boaz,

2:12  and Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse.

2:13  And Jesse begot his firstborn Eliab, Abinadab was his second, Shimea the third,

2:14  Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

2:15  Ozem the sixth, and David the seventh.

2:16  And their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three.

2:17  And Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.

2:18  And Caleb the son of Hezron took Azubah to wife, by Jerioth. Now these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.

2:19  And Azubah died; and Caleb took to himself Ephrath as a wife, and she bore to him Hur.

2:20  And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezalel.

2:21  And after this Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty-five years old; and she bore him Segub.

2:22  And Segub begot Jair, and he had twenty-three cities in Gilead.

2:23  And he took Geshur and Aram, the towns of Jair from them; with Kenath and its towns, sixty cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

2:24  And after the death of Hezron, Caleb came to Ephrathah; and the wife of Hezron was Abijah; and she bore him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

2:25  And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Ram, the firstborn, and Bunah, Oren, and Ozem his brother.

2:26  And Jerahmeel had another wife, and her name was Atarah. She is the mother of Onam.

2:27  And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.

2:28  And the sons of Onam were Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur.

2:29  And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid.

2:30  And the sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim. And Seled died without children.

2:31  And the son of Appaim was Ishi; and the son of Ishi was Sheshan; and the son of Sheshan was Ahlai.

2:32  And the sons of Jada were Jether and Jonathan. And Jether died childless.

2:33  And the sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

2:34  Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had an Egyptian servant, and his name was Jarha.

2:35  And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife, and she bore him Attai.

2:36  And Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabad,

2:37  and Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot Obed;

2:38  and Obed begot Jehu, and Jehu begot Azariah;

2:39  and Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Eleasah,

2:40  and Eleasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum,

2:41  and Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama, and Elishama begot Ishmael.

2:42  And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his firstborn, he is the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

2:43  And the sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.

2:44  And Shema begot Raham the father of Jorkoam: and Jorkoam begot Shammai.

2:45  And his son was Maon; and Maon is the father of Beth Zur.

2:46  And Ephah the concubine of Caleb bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez.

2:47  And the sons of Jahdai were Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.

2:48  And Caleb's concubine Maachah bore Sheber and Tirhanah.

2:49  She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, and Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

2:50  These were the sons of Caleb: the sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephrathah were Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim,

2:51  Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.

2:52  And the descendants of Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim were the Haroeh, and the Manuhoth,

2:53  and the Shumathites, the Aethalim, the Miphithim, the Hesamathim, and the Hemasaraim; from these went forth the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.

2:54  The sons of Salma were Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth Joab, and half of the family of Malathi, Esari.

2:55  The families of the scribes dwelling in Jabez were the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites, these were the Kenites that came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
