Chapter 89
Psal DRC 89:1  A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation.
Psal KJV 89:1  I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
Psal VulgClem 89:1  Oratio Moysi, hominis Dei. Domine, refugium factus es nobis a generatione in generationem.
Psal DRC 89:2  Before the mountains were made, or the earth and the world was formed; from eternity and to eternity thou art God.
Psal KJV 89:2  For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
Psal VulgClem 89:2  Priusquam montes fierent, aut formaretur terra et orbis, a sæculo et usque in sæculum tu es, Deus.
Psal DRC 89:3  Turn not man away to be brought low: and thou hast said: Be converted, O ye sons of men.
Psal KJV 89:3  I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
Psal VulgClem 89:3  Ne avertas hominem in humilitatem : et dixisti : Convertimini, filii hominum.
Psal DRC 89:4  For a thousand years in thy sight are as yesterday, which is past. And as a watch in the night,
Psal KJV 89:4  Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
Psal VulgClem 89:4  Quoniam mille anni ante oculos tuos tamquam dies hesterna quæ præteriit : et custodia in nocte
Psal DRC 89:5  Things that are counted nothing, shall their years be.
Psal KJV 89:5  And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

Psal DRC 89:6  In the morning man shall grow up like grass; in the morning he shall flourish and pass away: in the evening he shall fall, grow dry, and wither.
Psal KJV 89:6  For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
Psal VulgClem 89:6  Mane sicut herba transeat ; mane floreat, et transeat ; vespere decidat, induret, et arescat.
Psal DRC 89:7  For in thy wrath we have fainted away: and are troubled in thy indignation.
Psal KJV 89:7  God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

Psal DRC 89:8  Thou hast set our iniquities before thy eyes: our life in the light of thy countenance.
Psal KJV 89:8  O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
Psal VulgClem 89:8  Posuisti iniquitates nostras in conspectu tuo ; sæculum nostrum in illuminatione vultus tui.
Psal DRC 89:9  For all our days are spent; and in thy wrath we have fainted away. Our years shall be considered as a spider:
Psal KJV 89:9  Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
Psal VulgClem 89:9  Quoniam omnes dies nostri defecerunt, et in ira tua defecimus. Anni nostri sicut aranea meditabuntur ;
Psal DRC 89:10  The days of our years in them are threescore and ten years. But if in the strong they be fourscore years: and what is more of them is labour and sorrow. For mildness is come upon us: and we shall be corrected.
Psal KJV 89:10  Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
Psal VulgClem 89:10  dies annorum nostrorum in ipsis septuaginta anni. Si autem in potentatibus octoginta anni, et amplius eorum labor et dolor ; quoniam supervenit mansuetudo, et corripiemur.
Psal DRC 89:11  Who knoweth the power of thy anger, and for thy fear
Psal KJV 89:11  The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
Psal VulgClem 89:11  Quis novit potestatem iræ tuæ, et præ timore tuo iram tuam
Psal DRC 89:12  Can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom.
Psal KJV 89:12  The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

Psal DRC 89:13  Return, O Lord, how long? and be entreated in favour of thy servants.
Psal KJV 89:13  Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
Psal VulgClem 89:13  Convertere, Domine ; usquequo ? et deprecabilis esto super servos tuos.
Psal DRC 89:14  We are filled in the morning with thy mercy: and we have rejoiced, and are delighted all our days.
Psal KJV 89:14  Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
Psal VulgClem 89:14  Repleti sumus mane misericordia tua ; et exsultavimus, et delectati sumus omnibus diebus nostris.
Psal DRC 89:15  We have rejoiced for the days in which thou hast humbled us: for the years in which we have seen evils.
Psal KJV 89:15  Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.

Psal DRC 89:16  Look upon thy servants and upon their works: and direct their children.
Psal KJV 89:16  In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

Psal DRC 89:17  And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us: and direct thou the works of our hands over us; yea, the work of our hands do thou direct.
