Ruth KJV 1:11  And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Ruth Webster 1:11  And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? shall I bear more sons, that they may be your husbands?
Ruth NHEB 1:11  Naomi said, "Go back, my daughters. Why do you want to go with me? Do I still have sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Ruth VulgClem 1:11  Quibus illa respondit : Revertimini, filiæ meæ, cur venitis mecum ? num ultra habeo filios in utero meo, ut viros ex me sperare possitis ?
Ruth DRC 1:12  Return again, my daughters, and go your ways: for I am now spent with age, and not fit for wedlock. Although I might conceive this night, and bear children,
Ruth KJV 1:12  Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;
Ruth Webster 1:12  Turn again, my daughters, go [your way]; for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say, I have hope, [if] I should have a husband also to-night, and should also bear sons;

Ruth DRC 1:13  If you would wait till they were grown up, and come to man's estate, you would be old women before you marry. Do not so, my daughters, I beseech you: for I am grieved the more for your distress, and the hand of the Lord is gone out against me.
Ruth KJV 1:13  Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the Lord is gone out against me.
Ruth CzeCEP 1:13  čekaly byste proto, až by dospěli?
Ruth CzeCSP 1:13  zdali proto budete trpělivě čekat až do doby, kdy vyrostou?
Ruth CzeBKR 1:13  Zdaž byste na ně čekaly, až by dorostli?
Ruth Webster 1:13  Would ye wait for them till they should be grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes, that the hand of the LORD has gone out against me.
Ruth NHEB 1:13  would you then wait until they were grown? Would you then refrain from having husbands? No, my daughters, for it grieves me much for your sakes, for the hand of the Lord has gone out against me."
Ruth AKJV 1:13  Would you tarry for them till they were grown? would you stay for them from having husbands? no, my daughters; for it grieves me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.
Nolite, quæso, filiæ meæ : quia vestra angustia magis me premit, et egressa est manus Domini contra me.
Ruth DRC 1:14  And they lifted up their voice, and began to weep again: Orpha kissed her mother in law, and returned: Ruth stuck close to her mother in law.
Ruth KJV 1:14  And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.
Ruth Webster 1:14  And they lifted up their voice, and wept again. And Orpah kissed her mother-in-law; but Ruth cleaved to her.

Ruth DRC 1:15  And Noemi said to her: Behold thy kinswoman is returned to her people, and to her gods, go thou with her.
Ruth KJV 1:15  And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.

Ruth DRC 1:16  She answered: Be not against me, to desire that I should leave thee and depart: for whithersoever thou shalt go, I will go: and where thou shalt dwell, I also will dwell. Thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.
Ruth KJV 1:16  And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
Tvůj lid bude mým lidem a tvůj Bůh mým Bohem.
Ruth CzeCSP 1:16  Avšak Rút odpověděla: ⌈Nenaléhej na mě,⌉ abych tě opustila a odvrátila se od cesty za tebou, protože ⌈kam půjdeš, půjdu i já, a kde zůstaneš,⌉ zůstanu také; tvůj lid bude mým lidem a tvůj Bůh mým Bohem.
Ruth CzeBKR 1:16  Ale Rut řekla: Nenuť mne, abych tě opustiti a od tebe odjíti měla. Nebo kamž se koli obrátíš, půjdu, a kdekoli bydliti budeš, i já bydliti budu; lid tvůj lid můj, a Bůh tvůj Bůh můj.
Ruth Webster 1:16  And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, [or] to return from following thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people [shall be] my people, and thy God my God:

Ruth KJV 1:17  Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

Ruth CzeB21 1:17  Kde zemřeš, tam zemřu a klesnu do hrobu.
Ruth CzeCSP 1:17  Kde zemřeš, zemřu já a tam budu pohřbena.

Ruth DRC 1:18  Then Noemi seeing that Ruth was steadfastly determined to go with her, would not be against it, nor persuade her any more to return to her friends:
Ruth KJV 1:18  When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

Ruth DRC 1:19  So they went together, and came to Bethlehem. And when they were come into the city, the report was quickly spread among all: and the women said: This is that Noemi.
Ruth KJV 1:19  So they two went until they came to Beth–lehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Beth–lehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
Ruth CzeCEP 1:19  Tak šly obě, až došly do Betléma. Když přišly do Betléma, shluklo se kolem nich celé město. Ženy se ptaly: „Je toto Noemi?“
Ruth CzeB21 1:19  A tak šly obě spolu, až došly k Betlému. Když dorazily do Betléma, nastal kvůli nim po celém městě rozruch. „To je přece Noemi!“ říkaly ženy.
Ruth CzeCSP 1:19  Tak šly obě dvě, až přišly do Betléma. I stalo se, jakmile přišly do Betléma, že se kvůli nim shluklo celé to město a ženy řekly: Není tohle Noemi?
Ruth CzeBKR 1:19  I šly obě dvě spolu, až přišly k Betlému.
Ruth Webster 1:19  So they two went until they came to Beth-lehem. And it came to pass, when they had come to Beth-lehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, [Is] this Naomi?
Ruth NHEB 1:19  So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. It happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they asked, "Is this Naomi?"
Ruth AKJV 1:19  So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
Ruth DRC 1:20  But she said to them: Call me not Noemi (that is, beautiful,) but call me Mara (that is, bitter), for the Almighty hath quite filled me with bitterness.
Ruth KJV 1:20  And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
Ruth Webster 1:20  And she said to them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
Ruth NHEB 1:20  She said to them, "Do not call me Naomi. Call me Marah; for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.

Ruth VulgClem 1:20  Quibus ait : Ne vocetis me Noëmi (id est, pulchram), sed vocate me Mara (id est, amaram), quia amaritudine valde replevit me Omnipotens.
Ruth DRC 1:21  I went out full and the Lord hath brought me back empty. Why then do you call me Noemi, whom the Lord hath humbled, and the Almighty hath afflicted?
Ruth KJV 1:21  I went out full, and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
Pročež tedy nazýváte mne Noémi, poněvadž mne Hospodin ssoužil, a Všemohoucí mne znuzil?
Ruth Webster 1:21  I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why [then] call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
Ruth NHEB 1:21  I went out full, and the Lord has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the Lord has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?"
Ruth AKJV 1:21  I went out full and the LORD has brought me home again empty: why then call you me Naomi, seeing the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?
Ruth VulgClem 1:21  Egressa sum plena, et vacuam reduxit me Dominus. Cur ergo vocatis me Noëmi, quam Dominus humiliavit, et afflixit Omnipotens ?
Ruth DRC 1:22  So Noemi came with Ruth, the Moabitess, her daughter in law, from the land of her sojournment: and returned into Bethlehem, in the beginning of the barley harvest.
Ruth KJV 1:22  So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Beth–lehem in the beginning of barley harvest.

Ruth KJV 2:9  Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

Ruth KJV 2:11  And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.

Ruth CzeCEP 2:13  Ona řekla: „Kéž bys mi i nadále projevoval přízeň, pane.
„Potěšil jsi mě a mluvil jsi ke své služebnici přívětivě, přestože ani nepatřím k tvým služebným.“
Ruth CzeCSP 2:13  Nato řekla: ⌈Kéž naleznu milost ve tvých očích,⌉ můj pane, protože jsi mne potěšil a protože ⌈jsi mluvil k srdci⌉ své otrokyně, ačkoliv já nejsem rovna žádné tvé otrokyni.
Ruth CzeBKR 2:13  Kterážto řekla: Nalezla jsem milost před tebou, pane můj, poněvadž jsi mne potěšil, a mluvils k srdci děvky své, ješto nejsem podobná jedné z děvek tvých.

Ruth KJV 2:14  And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
Ruth CzeCEP 2:14  Když byl čas k jídlu, řekl jí Bóaz: „Přistup blíž, pojez chleba a namáčej si sousta ve víně.“ Přisedla si k žencům a on jí nabídl pražené zrní. Najedla se dosyta a ještě jí zbylo.
Ruth CzeB21 2:14  Když pak přišel čas k jídlu, řekl jí Boáz: „Pojď sem, vezmi si chleba a namáčej si sousta ve víně.“ Přisedla si tedy k žencům, a když jí podal pražené zrní, jedla do sytosti a ještě jí zbylo.
Ruth CzeCSP 2:14  V době jídla jí Bóaz řekl: Přistup sem, pojez chléb a namoč si sousto v octě. Posadila se poblíž ženců. Nabídl jí pražené zrní a ona pojedla, nasytila se a ještě jí zbylo.
Ruth CzeBKR 2:14  Tedy řekl jí Bóz: Když bude čas jísti, přistup sem, a pojez chleba, a omoč skyvu svou v octě. I posadila se při žencích, a podal jí pražmy; ona pak jedla až do sytosti, a ještě jí zbylo.

Ruth DRC 2:15  And she arose from thence, to glean the ears of corn as before. And Booz commanded his servants, saying: If she would even reap with you, hinder her not:
Ruth KJV 2:15  And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not:

Ruth DRC 2:17  She gleaned therefore in the field till evening: and beating out with a rod, and threshing what she had gleaned, she found about the measure of an ephi of barley, that is, three bushels:
Ruth KJV 2:17  So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was about an ephah of barley.
Ruth CzeCEP 2:17  Sbírala tedy na tom poli až do večera. Pak vymlátila to, co nasbírala, a byla toho asi éfa ječmene.

Ruth CzeCEP 2:18  Odnesla si jej do města.
Ruth CzeB21 2:18  Rút si jej odnesla do města a ukázala své tchyni, kolik toho nasbírala.
Ruth CzeCSP 2:18  Odnesla si to a přišla do města.

Ruth Webster 3:17  And she said, These six [measures] of barley he gave me; for he said to me, Go not empty to thy mother-in-law.
Ruth NHEB 3:17  She said, "He gave me these six measures of barley; for he said, 'Do not go empty to your mother-in-law.'"
Ruth AKJV 3:17  And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty to your mother in law.
Ruth VulgClem 3:17  Et ait : Ecce sex modios hordei dedit mihi, et ait : Nolo vacuam te reverti ad socrum tuam.
Ruth DRC 3:18  And Noemi said: Wait, my daughter, till we see what end the thing will have. For the man will not rest until he have accomplished what he hath said.
Ruth KJV 3:18  Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
Ruth CzeCEP 3:18  Noemi jí pravila: „Jen vyčkej, má dcero, a poznáš, jak to dopadne. Ten muž si nedá pokoj a dovede tu záležitost ke konci ještě dnes.“
„Ten muž nepoleví, dokud tu věc ještě dnes nedovede do konce!“
Ruth CzeCSP 3:18  Noemi pravila: Musíš počkat, má dcero, než se dozvíš, jak ta záležitost dopadne, protože ten muž nebude mít klid, pokud tu záležitost dnes nedotáhne do konce.
Ruth CzeBKR 3:18  I řekla jí Noémi: Počekej, dcero má, až porozumíš, jak to padne; neboť neobleví muž ten, až tu věc dnes k místu přivede.
Ruth Webster 3:18  Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou knowest how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he hath finished the thing this day.
Ruth NHEB 3:18  Then she said, "Wait, my daughter, until you know how the matter will fall; for the man will not rest, until he has finished the thing this day."
Ruth AKJV 3:18  Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
Chapter 4
Ruth DRC 4:1  Then Booz went up to the gate, and sat there. And when he had seen the kinsman going by, of whom he had spoken before, he said to him, calling him by his name: Turn aside for a little while, and sit down here. He turned aside, and sat down.
Ruth KJV 4:1  Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
A on zašel a usedl.
I řekl jemu: Poď sem, a poseď tuto. Kterýž zastaviv se, sedl.
Ruth Webster 4:1  Then Boaz went up to the gate, and sat down there: and behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by; to whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
Ruth NHEB 4:1  Now Boaz went up to the gate, and sat down there. Behold, the near kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by; to whom he said, "Come over here, friend, and sit down!" He turned aside, and sat down.
Ruth AKJV 4:1  Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by; to whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
Ruth DRC 4:2  And Booz, taking ten men of the ancients of the city, said to them: Sit ye down here.
Ruth KJV 4:2  And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
Ruth CzeCEP 4:2  Bóaz pak vybral deset mužů z městských starších a požádal je: „Zasedněte zde.“ A oni zasedli.
Ruth CzeB21 4:2  Potom Boáz pozval deset z městských stařešinů a řekl: „Posaďte se tu.“ A když se posadili,
Ruth CzeCSP 4:2  Bóaz přibral deset mužů ze starších toho města a řekl jim: Zasedněte tu. Oni se posadili.
Ruth CzeBKR 4:2  A vzav Bóz deset mužů z starších města toho, řekl: Posaďte se tuto. I posadili se.
Ruth Webster 4:2  And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
Ruth NHEB 4:2  He took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, "Sit down here." They sat down.
Ruth AKJV 4:2  And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit you down here. And they sat down.
Ruth DRC 4:3  They sat down, and he spoke to the kinsman: Noemi, who is returned from the country of Moab will sell a parcel of land that belonged to our brother Elimelech.
Ruth KJV 4:3  And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s:
Ruth Webster 4:3  And he said to the kinsman, Naomi, that has come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which [was] our brother Elimelech's:
Ruth NHEB 4:3  He said to the near kinsman, "Naomi, who has come back out of the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's.
Ruth AKJV 4:3  And he said to the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, sells a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's:
Ruth DRC 4:4  I would have thee to understand this, and would tell thee before all that sit here, and before the ancients of my people. If thou wilt take possession of it by the right of kindred: buy it, and possess it: but if it please thee not, tell me so, that I may know what I have to do. For there is no near kinsman besides thee, who art first, and me, who am second. But he answered: I will buy the field.
Ruth KJV 4:4  And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.
Ruth CzeCEP 4:4  Řekl jsem si, že ti to dám na vědomí a vybídnu tě, abys jej koupil v přítomnosti těch, kteří tu zasedají, před staršími mého lidu. Chceš-li použít svého práva k vykoupení, tedy jej vykup, nechceš-li, oznam mi to.
On odpověděl: Já jej vykoupím.
Ruth CzeBKR 4:4  A já jsem umínil netajiti toho před tebou, a pravímť: Ujmi pole to před přísedícími těmito a staršími lidu mého. Tedy on řekl: Já koupím.
Ruth Webster 4:4  And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy [it] before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem [it], redeem [it]: but if thou wilt not redeem [it], [then] tell me, that I may know: for [there is] none to redeem [it] besides thee; and I [am] after thee. And he said, I will redeem [it].
Ruth NHEB 4:4  I thought to disclose it to you, saying, 'Buy it before those who sit here, and before the elders of my people.' If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know. For there is no one to redeem it besides you; and I am after you." He said, "I will redeem it."
Ruth AKJV 4:4  And I thought to advertise you, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If you will redeem it, redeem it: but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside you; and I am after you. And he said, I will redeem it.
At ille respondit : Ego agrum emam.
Ruth DRC 4:5  And Booz said to him: When thou shalt buy the field at the woman's hand, thou must take also Ruth, the Moabitess, who was the wife of the deceased: to raise up the name of thy kinsman in his inheritance.
Ruth KJV 4:5  Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
Ruth Webster 4:5  Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy [it] also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
Ruth NHEB 4:5  Then Boaz said, "On the day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance."
Ruth AKJV 4:5  Then said Boaz, What day you buy the field of the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance.
Ruth VulgClem 4:5  Cui dixit Booz : Quando emeris agrum de manu mulieris, Ruth quoque Moabitidem, quæ uxor defuncti fuit, debes accipere : ut suscites nomen propinqui tui in hæreditate sua.
Ruth DRC 4:6  He answered: I yield up my right of next akin: for I must not cut off the posterity of my own family. Do thou make use of my privilege, which I profess I do willingly forego.
Ruth KJV 4:6  And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it.
Ruth CzeCEP 4:6  Tu řekl zastánce: „Nemohu je vykoupit pro sebe, aniž bych zničil vlastní dědictví. Použij pro sebe mého výkupního práva; já vykoupit nemohu.“
Ruth CzeB21 4:6  Načež ten příbuzný řekl: „Tak to ho vykoupit nemohu – vždyť bych ohrozil vlastní dědictví! Vykup to pole místo mě; já nemohu.“
Ruth CzeCSP 4:6  Ten vykupitel odpověděl: Nemohu to pro sebe vykoupit, jinak uvrhnu do zkázy vlastní dědictví. ⌈Nárokuj pro sebe mé výkupní právo⌉ ty, protože já vykoupit nemohu.
Ruth CzeBKR 4:6  Odpověděl příbuzný ten: Nemohuť koupiti, abych snad nezahladil dědictví svého. Uživ ty práva příbuznosti mé, nebo já ho nemohu užiti.
Ruth Webster 4:6  And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem [it] for myself, lest I mar my own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem [it].
Ruth NHEB 4:6  The near kinsman said, "I can't redeem it for myself, lest I mar my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption for yourself; for I can't redeem it."
Ruth AKJV 4:6  And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar my own inheritance: redeem you my right to yourself; for I cannot redeem it.
Ruth VulgClem 4:6  Qui respondit : Cedo juri propinquitatis : neque enim posteritatem familiæ meæ delere debeo : tu meo utere privilegio, quo me libenter carere profiteor.
Ruth DRC 4:7  Now this in former times was the manner in Israel between kinsmen, that if at any time one yielded his right to another: that the grant might be sure, the man put off his shoe and gave it to his neighbour; this was a testimony of cession of right in Israel.
Ruth KJV 4:7  Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.
Ruth Webster 4:7  Now this [was the manner] in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for confirming all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave [it] to his neighbor: and this [was] a testimony in Israel.
Ruth NHEB 4:7  Now this was the custom in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning exchanging, to confirm all things: a man took off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbor; and this was the way of attestation in Israel.
Ruth AKJV 4:7  Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbor: and this was a testimony in Israel.
Ruth DRC 4:8  So Booz said to his kinsman: Put off thy shoe. And immediately he took it off from his foot.
Ruth KJV 4:8  Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.
Ruth CzeCEP 4:8  Zastánce tedy řekl Bóazovi: „Kup si to sám.“ A zul si střevíc.
Ruth CzeB21 4:8  Ten příbuzný tedy Boázovi řekl: „Pořiď si ho sám,“ a zul si sandál.
Ruth CzeCSP 4:8  Vykupitel tedy řekl Bóazovi: Kup to pro sebe. A zul si sandál.
Ruth CzeBKR 4:8  Protož řekl příbuzný Bózovi: Ujmi ty. I szul obuv svou.
Ruth Webster 4:8  Therefore the kinsman said to Boaz, Buy [it] for thyself. So he drew off his shoe.
Ruth NHEB 4:8  So the near kinsman said to Boaz, "Buy it for yourself." He took off his shoe.
Ruth AKJV 4:8  Therefore the kinsman said to Boaz, Buy it for you. So he drew off his shoe.
Ruth VulgClem 4:8  Dixit ergo propinquo suo Booz : Tolle calceamentum tuum. Quod statim solvit de pede suo.
Ruth DRC 4:9  And he said to the ancients, and to all the people: You are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and Chelion's, and Mahalon's, of the hand of Noemi:
Ruth KJV 4:9  And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.
Ruth Webster 4:9  And Boaz said to the elders, and [to] all the people, Ye [are] witnesses this day, that I have bought all that [was] Elimelech's, and all that [was] Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi.
Ruth NHEB 4:9  Boaz said to the elders, and to all the people, "You are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, from the hand of Naomi.
Ruth AKJV 4:9  And Boaz said to the elders, and to all the people, You are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi.
Ruth VulgClem 4:9  At ille majoribus natu, et universo populo : Testes vos, inquit, estis hodie, quod possederim omnis quæ fuerunt Elimelech, et Chelion, et Mahalon, tradente Noëmi ;
Ruth DRC 4:10  And have taken to wife Ruth, the Moabitess, the wife of Mahalon, to raise up the name of the deceased in his inheritance lest his name be cut off, from among his family and his brethren and his people. You, I say, are witnesses of this thing.
Ruth KJV 4:10  Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
Ruth Webster 4:10  Moreover, Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye [are] witnesses this day.
Ruth NHEB 4:10  Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers, and from the gate of his place. You are witnesses this day."
Ruth AKJV 4:10  Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brothers, and from the gate of his place: you are witnesses this day.
Vos, inquam, hujus rei testes estis.
Ruth DRC 4:11  Then all the people that were in the gate, and the ancients, answered: We are witnesses: The Lord make this woman who cometh into thy house, like Rachel, and Lia, who built up the house of Israel: that she may be an example of virtue in Ephrata, and may have a famous name in Bethlehem:
Ruth KJV 4:11  And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Beth–lehem:
Jednej v Efratě udatně a zjednej si v Betlémě jméno.
Počínejž sobě zmužile v Efratě, a dosáhni jména v Betlémě.
Ruth Webster 4:11  And all the people that [were] in the gate, and the elders said, [We are] witnesses. The LORD make the woman that hath come into thy house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Beth-lehem:
Ruth NHEB 4:11  All the people who were in the gate, and the elders, said, "We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which two built the house of Israel; and treat you worthily in Ephrathah, and be famous in Bethlehem.
Ruth AKJV 4:11  And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do you worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:
Ruth VulgClem 4:11  Respondit omnis populus, qui erat in porta, et majores natu : Nos testes sumus : faciat Dominus hanc mulierem, quæ ingreditur domum tuam, sicut Rachel et Liam, quæ ædificaverunt domum Israël : ut sit exemplum virtutis in Ephratha, et habeat celebre nomen in Bethlehem :
Ruth DRC 4:12  And that the house may be, as the house of Phares, whom Thamar bore unto Juda, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman.
Ruth KJV 4:12  And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman.
