Chapter 1
Mica DRC 1:1  The word of the Lord, that came to Micah, the Morasthite, in the days of Joathan, Achaz, and Ezechias, kings of Juda: which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
Mica KJV 1:1  The word of the Lord that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
Mica DRC 1:2  Hear, all ye people: and let the earth give ear, and all that is therein: and let the Lord God be a witness to you, the Lord from his holy temple.
Mica KJV 1:2  Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord God be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
Mica DRC 1:3  For behold the Lord will come forth out of his place: and he will come down, and will tread upon the high places of the earth.
Mica KJV 1:3  For, behold, the Lord cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.
Mica DRC 1:4  And the mountains shall be melted under him: and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as waters that run down a steep place.
Mica VulgClem 1:4  Et consumentur montes subtus eum, et valles scindentur sicut cera a facie ignis, et sicut aquæ quæ decurrunt in præceps.
Mica KJV 1:4  And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.
Mica DRC 1:5  For the wickedness of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the wickedness of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Juda? are they not Jerusalem?
Mica KJV 1:5  For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?
Mica DRC 1:6  And I will make Samaria as a heap of stones in the field when a vineyard is planted: and I will bring down the stones thereof into the valley, and will lay her foundations bare.
Mica VulgClem 1:6  Et ponam Samariam quasi acervum lapidum in agro, cum plantatur vinea ; et detraham in vallem lapides ejus, et fundamenta ejus revelabo.
Mica KJV 1:6  Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.
Mica DRC 1:7  And all her graven things shall be cut in pieces, and all her wages shall be burnt with fire, and I will bring to destruction all her idols: for they were gathered together of the hire of a harlot, and unto the hire of a harlot they shall return.
Mica KJV 1:7  And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.
Mica DRC 1:8  Therefore will I lament, and howl: I will go stript and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and a mourning like the ostriches.
Mica KJV 1:8  Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.
Mica DRC 1:9  Because her wound is desperate, because it is come even to Juda, it hath touched the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
Mica KJV 1:9  For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
Mica DRC 1:10  Declare ye it not in Geth, weep ye not with tears: in the house of Dust sprinkle yourselves with dust.
Mica VulgClem 1:10  In Geth nolite annuntiare ; lacrimis ne ploretis ; in domo pulveris pulvere vos conspergite.
Mica KJV 1:10  Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust.
Mica DRC 1:11  And pass away, O thou that dwellest in the beautiful place, covered with thy shame: she went not forth that dwelleth in the confines: the house adjoining shall receive mourning from you, which stood by herself.
Mica VulgClem 1:11  Et transite vobis, habitatio pulchra, confusa ignominia : non est egressa quæ habitat in exitu : planctum domus vicina accipiet ex vobis, quæ stetit sibimet.
Mica KJV 1:11  Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Beth–ezel; he shall receive of you his standing.
Mica DRC 1:12  For she is become weak unto good that dwelleth in bitterness: for evil is come down from the Lord into the gate of Jerusalem.
Mica VulgClem 1:12  Quia infirmata est in bonum, quæ habitat in amaritudinibus ; quia descendit malum a Domino in portam Jerusalem.
Mica KJV 1:12  For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the Lord unto the gate of Jerusalem.
Mica DRC 1:13  A tumult of chariots hath astonished the inhabitants of Lachis: it is the beginning of sin to the daughter of Sion for in thee were found the crimes of Israel.
Mica VulgClem 1:13  Tumultus quadrigæ stuporis habitanti Lachis : principium peccati est filiæ Sion, quia in te inventa sunt scelera Israël.
Mica KJV 1:13  O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.
Mica DRC 1:14  Therefore shall she send messengers to the inheritance of Geth: the houses of lying to deceive the kings of Israel.
Mica VulgClem 1:14  Propterea dabit emissarios super hæreditatem Geth, domus mendacii in deceptionem regibus Israël.
Mica KJV 1:14  Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moresheth–gath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.
Mica DRC 1:15  Yet will I bring an heir to thee that dwellest in Maresa: even to Odollam shall the glory of Israel come.
Mica VulgClem 1:15  Adhuc hæredem adducam tibi quæ habitas in Maresa ; usque ad Odollam veniet gloria Israël.
Mica KJV 1:15  Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.
Mica DRC 1:16  Make thee bald, and be polled for thy delicate children: enlarge thy baldness as the eagle: for they are carried into captivity from thee.
Mica KJV 1:16  Make thee bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.
Chapter 2
Mica DRC 2:1  Woe to you that devise that which is unprofitable, and work evil in your beds: in the morning light they execute it, because their hand is against God.
Mica VulgClem 2:1  Væ qui cogitatis inutile, et operamini malum in cubilibus vestris ! In luce matutina faciunt illud, quoniam contra Deum est manus eorum.
Mica KJV 2:1  Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
Mica DRC 2:2  And they have coveted fields, and taken them by violence, and houses they have forcibly taken away: and oppressed a man and his house, a man and his inheritance.
Mica VulgClem 2:2  Et concupierunt agros, et violenter tulerunt : et rapuerunt domos, et calumniabantur virum, et domum ejus : virum, et hæreditatem ejus.
Mica KJV 2:2  And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
Mica DRC 2:3  Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I devise an evil against this family: from which you shall not withdraw your necks, and you shall not walk haughtily, for this is a very evil time.
Mica KJV 2:3  Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.
Mica DRC 2:4  In that day a parable shall be taken up upon you, and a song shall be sung with melody by them that say: We are laid waste and spoiled: the portion of my people is changed: how shall he depart from me, whereas he is returning that will divide our land?
Mica VulgClem 2:4  In die illa sumetur super vos parabola, et cantabitur canticum cum suavitate, dicentium : Depopulatione vastati sumus ; pars populi mei commutata est : quomodo recedet a me, cum revertatur, qui regiones nostras dividat ?
Mica KJV 2:4  In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.
Mica DRC 2:5  Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast the cord of a lot in the assembly of the Lord.
Mica KJV 2:5  Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the Lord.
Mica DRC 2:6  Speak ye not, saying: It shall not drop upon these, confusion shall not take them.
Mica VulgClem 2:6  Ne loquamini loquentes ; non stillabit super istos, non comprehendet confusio.
Mica KJV 2:6  Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.
Mica DRC 2:7  The house of Jacob saith: Is the Spirit of the Lord straitened or are these his thoughts? Are not my words good to him that walketh uprightly?
Mica KJV 2:7  O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the Lord straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
Mica DRC 2:8  But my people, on the contrary, are risen up as an enemy: you have taken away the cloak off from the coat: and them that passed harmless you have turned to war.
Mica VulgClem 2:8  et e contrario populus meus in adversarium consurrexit. Desuper tunica pallium sustulistis : et eos qui transibant simpliciter convertistis in bellum.
Mica KJV 2:8  Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.
Mica DRC 2:9  You have cast out the women of my people from their houses, in which they took delight: you have taken my praise forever from their children.
Mica VulgClem 2:9  Mulieres populi mei ejecistis de domo deliciarum suarum ; a parvulis earum tulistis laudem meam in perpetuum.
Mica KJV 2:9  The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.
Mica DRC 2:10  Arise ye, and depart, for there is no rest here for you. For that uncleanness of the land, it shall be corrupted with a grievous corruption.
Mica VulgClem 2:10  Surgite, et ite, quia non habetis hic requiem : propter immunditiam ejus corrumpetur putredine pessima.
Mica KJV 2:10  Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
Mica DRC 2:11  Would God I were not a man that hath the spirit, and that I rather spoke a lie: I will let drop to thee of wine, and of drunkenness: and it shall be this people upon whom it shall drop.
Mica KJV 2:11  If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.
Mica DRC 2:12  I will assemble and gather together all of thee, O Jacob: I will bring together the remnant of Israel, I will put them together as a flock in the fold, as sheep in the midst of the sheepcotes, they shall make a tumult by reason of the multitude of men.
Mica VulgClem 2:12  Congregatione congregabo, Jacob, totum te ; in unum conducam reliquias Israël : pariter ponam illum quasi gregem in ovili, quasi pecus in medio caularum : tumultuabuntur a multitudine hominum.
Mica KJV 2:12  I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.
Mica DRC 2:13  For he shall go up that shall open the way before them: they shall divide and pass through the gate, and shall come in by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord at the head of them.
Mica KJV 2:13  The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them.
Chapter 3
Mica DRC 3:1  And I said: Hear, O ye princes of Jacob, and ye chiefs of the house of Israel: Is it not your part to know judgment,
Mica KJV 3:1  And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
Mica DRC 3:2  You that hate good, and love evil: that violently pluck off their skins from them and their flesh from their bones?
Mica VulgClem 3:2  qui odio habetis bonum, et diligitis malum ; qui violenter tollitis pelles eorum desuper eis, et carnem eorum desuper ossibus eorum ;
Mica KJV 3:2  Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
Mica DRC 3:3  Who have eaten the flesh of my people, and have flayed their skin off them: and have broken, and chopped their bones as for the kettle, and as flesh in the midst of the pot.
Mica VulgClem 3:3  qui comederunt carnem populi mei, et pellem eorum desuper excoriaverunt, et ossa eorum confregerunt, et conciderunt sicut in lebete, et quasi carnem in medio ollæ ?
Mica KJV 3:3  Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
Mica DRC 3:4  Then shall they cry to the Lord, and he will not hear them: and he will hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved wickedly in their devices.
Mica KJV 3:4  Then shall they cry unto the Lord, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
Mica DRC 3:5  Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err: that bite with their teeth, and preach peace: and if a man give not something into their mouth, they prepare war against him.
Mica KJV 3:5  Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
Mica DRC 3:6  Therefore night shall be to you instead of vision, and darkness to you instead of divination: and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be darkened over them.
Mica KJV 3:6  Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
Mica DRC 3:7  And they shall be confounded that see visions, and the diviners shall be confounded: and they shall all cover their faces, because there is no answer of God.
Mica KJV 3:7  Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
Mica DRC 3:8  But yet I am filled with the strength of the spirit of the Lord, with judgment and power: to declare unto Jacob his wickedness and to Israel his sin.
Mica VulgClem 3:8  Verumtamen ego repletus sum fortitudine spiritus Domini, judicio, et virtute, ut annuntiem Jacob scelus suum, et Israël peccatum suum.
Mica KJV 3:8  But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
Mica DRC 3:9  Hear this, ye princes of the house of Jacob, and ye judges of the house of Israel: you that abhor judgment and pervert all that is right.
Mica KJV 3:9  Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
Mica DRC 3:10  You that build up Sion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
Mica VulgClem 3:10  qui ædificatis Sion in sanguinibus, et Jerusalem in iniquitate.
Mica KJV 3:10  They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
Mica DRC 3:11  Her princes have judged for bribes: and her priests have taught for hire, and her prophets divined for money: and they leaned upon the Lord, saying: Is not the Lord in the midst of us? no evil shall come among us.
Mica VulgClem 3:11  Principes ejus in muneribus judicabant, et sacerdotes ejus in mercede docebant, et prophetæ ejus in pecunia divinabant : et super Dominum requiescebant, dicentes : Numquid non Dominus in medio nostrum ? non venient super nos mala.
Mica KJV 3:11  The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us.
Mica DRC 3:12  Therefore because of you, Sion shall be ploughed as a field, and Jerusalem shall be as a heap of stones, and the mountain of the temple as the high places of the forests.
Mica VulgClem 3:12  Propter hoc, causa vestri, Sion quasi ager arabitur, et Jerusalem quasi acervus lapidum erit, et mons templi in excelsa silvarum.
Mica KJV 3:12  Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
Chapter 4
Mica DRC 4:1  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be prepared in the top of the mountains, and high above the hills: and people shall flow to it.
Mica VulgClem 4:1  Et erit : in novissimo dierum erit mons domus Domini præparatus in vertice montium, et sublimis super colles : et fluent ad eum populi,
Mica KJV 4:1  But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
Mica DRC 4:2  And many nations shall come in haste, and say: Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob: and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth out of Sion, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.
Mica KJV 4:2  And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Mica DRC 4:3  And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off: and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into spades: nation shall not take sword against nation: neither shall they learn war anymore.
Mica KJV 4:3  And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Mica DRC 4:4  And every man shall sit under his vine, and under his fig tree, and there shall be none to make them afraid, for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken.
Mica KJV 4:4  But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.
Mica DRC 4:5  For all people will walk every one in the name of his god: but we will walk in the name of the Lord, our God, for ever and ever.
Mica VulgClem 4:5  Quia omnes populi ambulabunt unusquisque in nomine dei sui ; nos autem ambulabimus in nomine Domini Dei nostri, in æternum et ultra.
Mica KJV 4:5  For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
Mica DRC 4:6  In that day, saith the Lord, I will gather up her that halteth: and her that I had cast out, I will gather up: and her whom I had afflicted.
Mica KJV 4:6  In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;
Mica DRC 4:7  And I will make her that halted, a remnant: and her that had been afflicted, a mighty nation: and the Lord will reign over them in Mount Sion, from this time now and forever.
Mica KJV 4:7  And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
Mica DRC 4:8  And thou, O cloudy tower of the flock, of the daughter of Sion, unto thee shall it come: yea the first power shall come, the kingdom to the daughter of Jerusalem.
Mica VulgClem 4:8  Et tu, turris gregis nebulosa filiæ Sion, usque ad te veniet, et veniet potestas prima, regnum filiæ Jerusalem.
Mica KJV 4:8  And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
Mica DRC 4:9  Now, why art thou drawn together with grief? Hast thou no king in thee, or is thy counselor perished, because sorrow hath taken thee as a woman in labour.
Mica VulgClem 4:9  Nunc quare mœrore contraheris ? numquid rex non est tibi, aut consiliarius tuus periit, quia comprehendit te dolor sicut parturientem ?
Mica KJV 4:9  Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.
Mica DRC 4:10  Be in pain and labour, O daughter of Sion, as a woman that bringeth forth: for now shalt thou go out of the city, and shalt dwell in the country, and shalt come even to Babylon, there thou shalt be delivered: there the Lord will redeem thee out of the hand of thy enemies.
Mica KJV 4:10  Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
Mica DRC 4:11  And now many nations are gathered together against thee, and they say: Let her be stoned: and let our eye look upon Sion.
Mica VulgClem 4:11  Et nunc congregatæ sunt super te gentes multæ, quæ dicunt : Lapidetur, et aspiciat in Sion oculus noster.
Mica KJV 4:11  Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
Mica DRC 4:12  But they have not known the thoughts of the Lord, and have not understood his counsel: because he hath gathered them together as the hay of the floor.
Mica KJV 4:12  But they know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
Mica DRC 4:13  Arise, and tread, O daughter of Sion: for I will make thy horn iron, and thy hoofs I will make brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many peoples, and shalt immolate the spoils of them to the Lord, and their strength to the Lord of the whole earth.
Mica VulgClem 4:13  Surge, et tritura, filia Sion, quia cornu tuum ponam ferreum, et ungulas tuas ponam æreas ; et comminues populos multos, et interficies Domino rapinas eorum, et fortitudinem eorum Domino universæ terræ.
Mica KJV 4:13  Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
Chapter 5
Mica DRC 5:1  Now shalt thou be laid waste, O daughter of the robber: they have laid siege against us, with a rod shall they strike the cheek of the judge of Israel.
Mica VulgClem 5:1  Nunc vastaberis, filia latronis. Obsidionem posuerunt super nos : in virga percutient maxillam judicis Israël.
Mica KJV 5:1  Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
Mica DRC 5:2  And thou Bethlehem Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda, out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity.
Mica KJV 5:2  But thou, Beth–lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Mica DRC 5:3  Therefore will he give them up even till the time wherein she that travaileth shall bring forth: and the remnant of his brethren shall be converted to the children of Israel.
Mica KJV 5:3  Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
Mica DRC 5:4  And he shall stand, and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the height of the name of the Lord, his God: and they shall be converted, for now shall he be magnified even to the ends of the earth.
Mica VulgClem 5:4  Et stabit, et pascet in fortitudine Domini, in sublimitate nominis Domini Dei sui : et convertentur, quia nunc magnificabitur usque ad terminos terræ.
Mica KJV 5:4  And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
Mica DRC 5:5  And this man shall be our peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall set his foot in our houses: and we shall raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
Mica VulgClem 5:5  Et erit iste pax : cum venerit Assyrius in terram nostram, et quando calcaverit domibus nostris, et suscitabimus super eum septem pastores et octo primates homines ;
Mica KJV 5:5  And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
Mica DRC 5:6  And they shall feed the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nemrod with the spears thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian when he shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our borders.
Mica KJV 5:6  And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
Mica DRC 5:7  And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples, as a dew from the Lord, and as drops upon the grass, which waiteth not for man, nor tarrieth for the children of men.
Mica VulgClem 5:7  Et erunt reliquiæ Jacob in medio populorum multorum quasi ros a Domino, et quasi stillæ super herbam, quæ non exspectat virum, et non præstolatur filios hominum.
Mica KJV 5:7  And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
Mica DRC 5:8  And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forests, and as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, when he shall go through, and tread down, and take there is none to deliver.
Mica KJV 5:8  And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
Mica DRC 5:9  Thy hand shall be lifted up over thy enemies, and all thy enemies shall be cut off.
Mica VulgClem 5:9  Exaltabitur manus tua super hostes tuos, et omnes inimici tui interibunt.
Mica KJV 5:9  Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.
Mica DRC 5:10  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will take away thy horses out of the midst of thee, and will destroy thy chariots.
Mica VulgClem 5:10  Et erit in die illa, dicit Dominus : auferam equos tuos de medio tui, et disperdam quadrigas tuas.
Mica KJV 5:10  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:
Mica DRC 5:11  And I will destroy the cities of thy land, and will throw down all thy strong holds, and I will take away sorceries out of thy hand, and there shall be no divinations in thee.
Mica KJV 5:11  And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:
Mica DRC 5:12  And I will destroy thy graven things, and thy statues, out of the midst of thee: and thou shalt no more adore the works of thy hands.
Mica KJV 5:12  And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:
Mica DRC 5:13  And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: and will crush thy cities.
Mica KJV 5:13  Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.
Mica DRC 5:14  And I will execute vengeance in wrath, and in indignation, among all the nations that have not given ear.
Mica VulgClem 5:14  Et faciam, in furore et in indignatione, ultionem in omnibus gentibus quæ non audierunt.
Mica KJV 5:14  And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.
Mica DRC 5:15
Mica VulgClem 5:15
Mica KJV 5:15  And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
Chapter 6
Mica DRC 6:1  Hear ye what the Lord saith: Arise, contend thou in judgment against the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
Mica VulgClem 6:1  Audite quæ Dominus loquitur : Surge, contende judicio adversum montes, et audiant colles vocem tuam.
Mica KJV 6:1  Hear ye now what the Lord saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
Mica DRC 6:2  Let the mountains hear the judgment of the Lord, and the strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord will enter into judgment with his people, and he will plead against Israel.
Mica KJV 6:2  Hear ye, O mountains, the Lord’s controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.
Mica DRC 6:3  O my people, what have I done to thee, or in what have I molested thee? answer thou me.
Mica VulgClem 6:3  Popule meus, quid feci tibi ? aut quid molestus fui tibi ? Responde mihi.
Mica KJV 6:3  O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.
Mica DRC 6:4  For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and delivered thee out of the house of slaves: and I sent before thy face Moses, and Aaron, and Mary.
Mica KJV 6:4  For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
Mica DRC 6:5  O my people, remember, I pray thee, what Balach, the king of Moab, purposed: and what Balaam, the son of Beor, answered him, from Setim to Galgal, that thou mightest know the justice of the Lord.
Mica VulgClem 6:5  Popule meus, memento, quæso, quid cogitaverit Balach, rex Moab, et quid responderit ei Balaam, filius Beor, de Setim usque ad Galgalam, ut cognosceres justitias Domini.
Mica KJV 6:5  O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the Lord.
Mica DRC 6:6  What shall I offer to the Lord that is worthy? wherewith shall I kneel before the high God? shall I offer holocausts unto him, and calves of a year old?
Mica VulgClem 6:6  Quid dignum offeram Domino ? curvabo genu Deo excelso ? Numquid offeram ei holocautomata et vitulos anniculos ?
Mica KJV 6:6  Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
Mica DRC 6:7  May the Lord be appeased with thousands of rams, or with many thousands of fat he goats? shall I give my firstborn for my wickedness, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
Mica VulgClem 6:7  numquid placari potest Dominus in millibus arietum, aut in multis millibus hircorum pinguium ? numquid dabo primogenitum meum pro scelere meo, fructum ventris mei pro peccato animæ meæ ?
Mica KJV 6:7  Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
Mica DRC 6:8  I will shew thee, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requireth of thee: Verily to do judgment, and to love mercy, and to walk solicitous with thy God.
Mica KJV 6:8  He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Mica DRC 6:9  The voice of the Lord crieth to the city, and salvation shall be to them that fear thy name: hear O ye tribes, and who shall approve it?
Mica KJV 6:9  The Lord’s voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
Mica DRC 6:10  As yet there is a fire in the house of the wicked, the treasures of iniquity, and a scant measure full of wrath.
Mica VulgClem 6:10  Adhuc ignis in domo impii thesauri iniquitatis, et mensura minor iræ plena.
Mica KJV 6:10  Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?
Mica DRC 6:11  Shall I justify wicked balances, and the deceitful weights of the bag?
Mica VulgClem 6:11  Numquid justificabo stateram impiam, et saccelli pondera dolosa ?
Mica KJV 6:11  Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?
Mica DRC 6:12  By which her rich men were filled with iniquity, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue was deceitful in their mouth.
Mica VulgClem 6:12  In quibus divites ejus repleti sunt iniquitate, et habitantes in ea loquebantur mendacium, et lingua eorum fraudulenta in ore eorum.
Mica KJV 6:12  For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
Mica DRC 6:13  And I therefore began to strike thee with desolation for thy sins.
Mica VulgClem 6:13  Et ego ergo cœpi percutere te perditione super peccatis tuis.
Mica KJV 6:13  Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.
Mica DRC 6:14  Thou shalt eat, but shalt not be filled: and thy humiliation shall be in the midst of thee: and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not save: and those whom thou shalt save, I will give up to the sword.
Mica KJV 6:14  Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.
Mica DRC 6:15  Thou shalt sow, but shalt not reap: thou shalt tread the olives, but shalt not be anointed with oil: and the new wine, but shalt not drink the wine.
Mica KJV 6:15  Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.
Mica DRC 6:16  For thou hast kept the statutes of Amri, and all the works of the house of Achab: and thou hast walked according their wills, that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof a hissing, and you shall bear the reproach of my people.
Mica KJV 6:16  For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.
Chapter 7
Mica DRC 7:1  Woe is me, for I am become as one that gleaneth in autumn the grapes of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat, my soul desired the first ripe figs.
Mica KJV 7:1  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.
Mica DRC 7:2  The holy man is perished out of the earth, and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood, every one hunteth his brother to death.
Mica KJV 7:2  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
Mica DRC 7:3  The evil of their hands they call good: the prince requireth, and the judge is for giving: and the great man hath uttered the desire of his soul, and they have troubled it.
Mica KJV 7:3  That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.
Mica DRC 7:4  He that is best among them, is as a brier, and he that is righteous, as the thorn of the hedge. The day of thy inspection, thy visitation cometh: now shall be their destruction.
Dies speculationis tuæ, visitatio tua venit : nunc erit vastitas eorum.
Mica KJV 7:4  The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.
Mica DRC 7:5  Believe not a friend, and trust not in a prince: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that sleepeth in thy bosom.
Mica VulgClem 7:5  Nolite credere amico, et nolite confidere in duce : ab ea quæ dormit in sinu tuo custodi claustra oris tui.
Mica KJV 7:5  Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
Mica DRC 7:6  For the son dishonoureth the father, and the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law: and a man's enemies are they of his own household.
Mica VulgClem 7:6  Quia filius contumeliam facit patri, et filia consurgit adversus matrem suam : nurus adversus socrum suam, et inimici hominis domestici ejus.
Mica KJV 7:6  For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
Mica DRC 7:7  But I will look towards the Lord, I will wait for God, my saviour: my God will hear me.
Mica VulgClem 7:7  Ego autem ad Dominum aspiciam ; exspectabo Deum, salvatorem meum : audiet me Deus meus.
Mica KJV 7:7  Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
Mica DRC 7:8  Rejoice not, thou my enemy, over me, because I am fallen: I shall arise, when I sit in darkness, the Lord is my light.
Mica VulgClem 7:8  Ne læteris, inimica mea, super me, quia cecidi : consurgam cum sedero in tenebris : Dominus lux mea est.
Mica KJV 7:8  Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
Mica DRC 7:9  I will bear the wrath of the Lord, because I have sinned against him: until he judge my cause, and execute judgement for me: he will bring me forth into the light, I shall behold his justice.
Mica VulgClem 7:9  Iram Domini portabo, quoniam peccavi ei, donec causam meam judicet, et faciat judicium meum. Educet me in lucem : videbo justitiam ejus.
Mica KJV 7:9  I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
Mica DRC 7:10  And my enemy shall behold, and she shall be covered with shame, who saith to me: Where is the Lord thy God? my eyes shall look down upon her: now shall she be trodden under foot as the mire of the streets.
Mica KJV 7:10  Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the Lord thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
Mica DRC 7:11  The day shall come, that thy walls may be built up: in that day shall the law be far removed.
Mica VulgClem 7:11  Dies, ut ædificentur maceriæ tuæ ; in die illa longe fiet lex.
Mica KJV 7:11  In the day that thy walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree be far removed.
Mica DRC 7:12  In that day they shall come even from Assyria to thee, and to the fortified cities: and from the fortified cities even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
Mica KJV 7:12  In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
Mica DRC 7:13  And the land shall be made desolate because of the inhabitants thereof, and for the fruit of their devices.
Mica VulgClem 7:13  Et terra erit in desolationem propter habitatores suos, et propter fructum cogitationum eorum.
Mica KJV 7:13  Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
Mica DRC 7:14  Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy inheritance, them that dwell alone in the forest, in the midst of Carmel: they shall feed in Basan and Galaad, according to the days of old.
Mica VulgClem 7:14  Pasce populum tuum in virga tua, gregem hæreditatis tuæ, habitantes solos, in saltu, in medio Carmeli. Pascentur Basan et Galaad juxta dies antiquos.
Mica KJV 7:14  Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
Mica DRC 7:15  According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt, I will shew him wonders.
Mica VulgClem 7:15  Secundum dies egressionis tuæ de terra Ægypti, ostendam ei mirabilia.
Mica KJV 7:15  According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.
Mica DRC 7:16  The nations shall see, and shall be confounded at all their strength: they shall put the hand upon the mouth, their ears shall be deaf.
Mica VulgClem 7:16  Videbunt gentes, et confundentur super omni fortitudine sua. Ponent manum super os, aures eorum surdæ erunt.
Mica KJV 7:16  The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.
Mica DRC 7:17  They shall lick the dust like serpents, as the creeping things of the earth, they shall be disturbed in their houses: they shall dread the Lord, our God, and shall fear thee.
Mica VulgClem 7:17  Lingent pulverem sicut serpentes ; velut reptilia terræ perturbabuntur in ædibus suis. Dominum Deum nostrum formidabunt, et timebunt te.
Mica KJV 7:17  They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the Lord our God, and shall fear because of thee.
Mica DRC 7:18  Who is a God like to thee, who takest away iniquity, and passest by the sin of the remnant of thy inheritance? he will send his fury in no more, because he delighteth in mercy.
Mica KJV 7:18  Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
Mica DRC 7:19  He will turn again, and have mercy on us: he will put away our iniquities: and he will cast all our sins into the bottom of the sea.
Mica VulgClem 7:19  Revertetur, et miserebitur nostri ; deponet iniquitates nostras, et projiciet in profundum maris omnia peccata nostra.
Mica KJV 7:19  He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Mica DRC 7:20  Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, the mercy to Abraham: which thou hast sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
Mica VulgClem 7:20  Dabis veritatem Jacob, misericordiam Abraham, quæ jurasti patribus nostris a diebus antiquis.
Mica KJV 7:20  Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
