118:1  Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

118:1  O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

118:2  Blessed are they that search his testimonies: that seek him with their whole heart.

118:2  Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

118:2  Ať vyzná Izrael: Jeho milosrdenství je věčné!

118:2  Izraeli, jen řekni teď: „Jeho láska trvá navěky!“

118:2  Beati qui scrutantur testimonia ejus ; in toto corde exquirunt eum.

118:3  For they that work iniquity, have not walked in his ways.

118:3  Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

118:4  Thou hast commanded thy commandments to be kept most diligently.

118:4  Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

118:4  Ctitelé Hospodina, řekněte: „Jeho láska trvá navěky!“

118:4  Rcetež nyní bojící se Hospodina, že na věky milosrdenství jeho.

118:4  Tu mandasti mandata tua custodiri nimis.

118:5  O! that my ways may be directed to keep thy justifications.

118:5  I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

118:5  V soužení jsem volal Hospodina, Hospodin mi odpověděl, daroval mi volnost.

118:5  Ve svém sevření jsem Hospodina volal, Hospodin vyslyšel a svobodu mi dal.

118:5  V tísni jsem volal Hospodina. Hospodin mi odpověděl a uvedl mě na prostranno.

118:5  V úzkosti vzýval jsem Hospodina, a vyslyšev, uprostrannil mi Hospodin.

118:5  Utinam dirigantur viæ meæ ad custodiendas justificationes tuas.

118:6  Then shall I not be confounded, when I shall look into all thy commandments.

118:6  The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

118:6  Hospodin je při mně, nebojím se. Co by mi mohl udělat člověk?

118:6  Hospodin je se mnou, nebudu se bát, co by mi mohl člověk udělat!

118:6  Tunc non confundar, cum perspexero in omnibus mandatis tuis.

118:7  I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned the judgments of thy justice.

118:7  The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

118:7  Hospodin je při mně, mezi mými pomocníky, spatřím pád těch, kdo mě nenávidí.

118:7  Hospodin je se mnou, je můj pomocník, pád těch, kdo mě nenávidí, uvidím!

118:7  Hospodin je se mnou, jako můj pomocník. Podívám se na ty, kdo mě nenávidí.

118:7  Hospodin se mnou jest mezi pomocníky mými, pročež já podívám se těm, kteříž mne mají v nenávisti.

118:7  Confitebor tibi in directione cordis, in eo quod didici judicia justitiæ tuæ.

118:8  I will keep thy justifications: O! do not thou utterly forsake me.

118:8  It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

118:8  Lépe utíkat se k Hospodinu, než doufat v člověka.

118:8  Lepší je doufat v Hospodina, než spoléhat na člověka.

118:8  Lépe je hledat útočiště v Hospodinu než spoléhat na člověka.

118:8  Lépe jest doufati v Hospodina, než naději skládati v člověku.

118:8  Justificationes tuas custodiam ; non me derelinquas usquequaque.

118:9  By what doth a young man correct his way? by observing thy words.

118:9  It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

118:9  Lépe utíkat se k Hospodinu, než doufat v knížata.

118:9  Lepší je doufat v Hospodina, než spoléhat se na mocné.

118:9  Lépe je hledat útočiště v Hospodinu než spoléhat na přední muže.

118:9  Lépe jest doufati v Hospodina, nežli naději skládati v knížatech.

118:9  In quo corrigit adolescentior viam suam ? in custodiendo sermones tuos.

118:10  With my whole heart have I sought after thee: let me not stray from thy commandments.

118:10  All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.

118:10  Všechny pronárody mě obklíčily; odrazil jsem je v Hospodinově jménu.

118:10  Všichni pohané mě obklíčili – v Hospodinově jménu jsem je porazil.

118:10  Všechny národy mě obklíčily; ve jménu Hospodinově jsem je však odrazil.

118:10  Všickni národové obklíčili mne, ale ve jménu Hospodinovu vyplénil jsem je.

118:10  In toto corde meo exquisivi te ; ne repellas me a mandatis tuis.

118:11  Thy words have I hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against thee.

118:11  They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

118:11  Oblehly mě, ano, obklíčily; odrazil jsem je v Hospodinově jménu.

118:11  Znovu a znovu mě obklíčili – v Hospodinově jménu jsem je porazil.

118:11  Obklíčily mě, jak mě obklíčily! Ve jménu Hospodinově jsem je však odrazil.

118:11  Mnohokrát obklíčili mne, ale ve jménu Hospodinovu vyplénil jsem je.

118:11  In corde meo abscondi eloquia tua, ut non peccem tibi.

118:12  Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy justifications.

118:12  They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

118:12  Oblehly mě jako vosy; zhasly jak planoucí trní, odrazil jsem je v Hospodinově jménu.

118:12  Jak vosy se na mě sesypali, jak oheň z trní ale uhasli – v Hospodinově jménu jsem je porazil!

118:12  Obklíčily mě jako včely, zhasly jako oheň z trní! Ve jménu Hospodinově jsem je odrazil.

118:12  Ssuli se na mne jako včely, však zhasli jako oheň z trní: nebo ve jménu Hospodinovu vyplénil jsem je.

118:12  Benedictus es, Domine ; doce me justificationes tuas.

118:13  With my lips I have pronounced all the judgments of thy mouth.

118:13  Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.

118:13  Udeřil jsi na mě tvrdě, abych padl. Hospodin je moje pomoc,

118:13  Doráželi na mě, abych pad, Hospodin je však pomoc má.

118:13  Pořádně jsi do mě strčil, abych padl, ale Hospodin mi pomohl.

118:13  Velmi jsi ztuha na mne dotíral, abych padl, ale Hospodin spomohl mi.

118:13  In labiis meis pronuntiavi omnia judicia oris tui.

118:14  I have been delighted in the way of thy testimonies, as in all riches.

118:14  The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

118:14  Hospodin je síla má i moje píseň; stal se mou spásou.

118:14  Má síla, má píseň je Hospodin, to on se stal mým spasením!

118:14  Hospodin je má síla i píseň; stal se mou spásou.

118:14  In via testimoniorum tuorum delectatus sum, sicut in omnibus divitiis.

118:15  I will meditate on thy commandments: and I will consider thy ways.

118:15  The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.

118:15  Ze stanů spravedlivých zní plesání nad spásou. Hospodinova pravice koná mocné činy!

118:15  Ze stanů spravedlivých zní píseň vítězná: „Hospodinova pravice mocně zasáhla,

118:15  ⌈Hlasitý jásot⌉ i vítězství jsou ve stanech spravedlivých. Hospodinova pravice vykonala ⌈mocné činy.⌉

118:15  Hlas prokřikování a spasení v staních spravedlivých. Pravice Hospodinova dokázala síly,

118:15  In mandatis tuis exercebor, et considerabo vias tuas.

118:16  I will think of thy justifications: I will not forget thy words.

118:16  The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.

118:16  Hospodinova pravice se vyvýšila, Hospodinova pravice koná mocné činy!

118:16  Hospodinova pravice je vztyčená, Hospodinova pravice mocně zasáhla!“

118:16  Hospodinova pravice se vyvýšila, Hospodinova pravice vykonala ⌈udatné činy.⌉

118:16  Pravice Hospodinova vyvýšila se, pravice Hospodinova dokázala síly.

118:16  In justificationibus tuis meditabor : non obliviscar sermones tuos.

118:17  Give bountifully to thy servant, enliven me: and I shall keep thy words.

118:17  I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

118:17  Nezemřu, budu žít, budu vypravovat o Hospodinových činech.

118:17  Neumřu, ale budu žít, vyprávět budu, co Hospodin učinil!

118:18  Open thou my eyes: and I will consider the wondrous things of thy law.

118:18  The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

118:19  Incola ego sum in terra : non abscondas a me mandata tua.

118:20  My soul hath coveted to long for thy justifications, at all times.

118:20  This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.

118:20  Toto je Hospodinova brána, skrze ni vcházejí spravedliví.

118:20  Toto je brána Hospodinova, tudy spravedliví projít smí.

118:20  Toto je brána pro Hospodina; touto branou vcházejí spravedliví.

118:20  Tať jest brána Hospodinova, kterouž spravedliví vcházejí.

118:20  Concupivit anima mea desiderare justificationes tuas in omni tempore.

118:21  Thou hast rebuked the proud: they are cursed who decline from thy commandments.

118:21  I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

118:21  Tobě vzdávám chválu, žes mi odpověděl; stal ses mou spásou.

118:21  Ty jsi mě vyslyšel, tobě děkuji, vždyť tys mě zachránil!

118:21  Tobě vzdávám chválu, žes mi odpověděl a stal ses mi spásou.

118:21  Tuť já tě oslavovati budu, nebo jsi mne vyslyšel, a byls můj vysvoboditel.

118:21  Increpasti superbos ; maledicti qui declinant a mandatis tuis.

118:22  Remove from me reproach and contempt: because I have sought after thy testimonies.

118:22  The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

118:22  Kámen, jejž zavrhli stavitelé, stal se kamenem úhelným.

118:22  Kámen staviteli zavržený stal se kamenem úhelným.

118:22  Kámen, který zavrhli stavitelé, se stal ⌈hlavou úhlu.⌉

118:22  Kámen, kterýž zavrhli stavitelé, učiněn jest v hlavu úhelní.

118:22  Aufer a me opprobrium et contemptum, quia testimonia tua exquisivi.

118:23  For princes sat, and spoke against me: but thy servant was employed in thy justifications.

118:23  This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

118:23  Stalo se tak skrze Hospodina, tento div se udál před našimi zraky.

118:23  Sám Hospodin to učinil a v našich očích je to div.

118:23  Bylo to od Hospodina. V našich očích je to podivuhodné.

118:23  Od Hospodina stalo se to, a jest divné před očima našima.

118:23  Etenim sederunt principes, et adversum me loquebantur ; servus autem tuus exercebatur in justificationibus tuis.

118:24  For thy testimonies are my meditation: and thy justifications my counsel.

118:24  This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

118:24  Toto je den, který učinil Hospodin, jásejme a radujme se z něho.

118:24  Co se dnes stalo, učinil Hospodin, pojďme se z toho radovat a veselit!

118:24  Nam et testimonia tua meditatio mea est, et consilium meum justificationes tuæ.

118:25  My soul hath cleaved to the pavement: quicken thou me according to thy word.

118:25  Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

118:26  I have declared my ways, and thou hast heard me: teach me thy justifications.

118:26  Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

118:27  Make me to understand the way of thy justifications: and I shall be exercised in thy wondrous works.

118:27  God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

118:27  Hospodin je Bůh, dává nám světlo. Slavte svátek ratolestí, k rohům oltáře se ubírejte.

118:28  My soul hath slumbered through heaviness: strengthen thou me in thy words.

118:28  Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

118:30  I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments I have not forgotten.

118:31  I have stuck to thy testimonies, O Lord: put me not to shame.

118:31  Adhæsi testimoniis tuis, Domine ; noli me confundere.

118:32  I have run the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.

118:32  Viam mandatorum tuorum cucurri, cum dilatasti cor meum.

118:33  Set before me for a law the way of thy justifications, O Lord: and I will always seek after it.

118:33  Legem pone mihi, Domine, viam justificationum tuarum, et exquiram eam semper.

118:34  Give me understanding, and I will search thy law; and I will keep it with my whole heart.

118:34  Da mihi intellectum, et scrutabor legem tuam, et custodiam illam in toto corde meo.

118:35  Lead me into the path of thy commandments; for this same I have desired.

118:35  Deduc me in semitam mandatorum tuorum, quia ipsam volui.

118:36  Incline my heart into thy testimonies and not to covetousness.

118:36  Inclina cor meum in testimonia tua, et non in avaritiam.

118:37  Turn away my eyes that they may not behold vanity: quicken me in thy way.

118:37  Averte oculos meos, ne videant vanitatem ; in via tua vivifica me.

118:38  Establish thy word to thy servant, in thy fear.

118:38  Statue servo tuo eloquium tuum in timore tuo.

118:39  Turn away my reproach, which I have apprehended: for thy judgments are delightful.

118:39  Amputa opprobrium meum quod suspicatus sum, quia judicia tua jucunda.

118:40  Behold I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy justice.

118:40  Ecce concupivi mandata tua : in æquitate tua vivifica me.

118:41  Let thy mercy also come upon me, O Lord: thy salvation according to thy word.

118:41  Et veniat super me misericordia tua, Domine ; salutare tuum secundum eloquium tuum.

118:42  So shall I answer them that reproach me in any thing; that I have trusted in thy words.

118:42  Et respondebo exprobrantibus mihi verbum, quia speravi in sermonibus tuis.

118:43  And take not thou the word of truth utterly out of my mouth: for in thy words, I have hoped exceedingly.

118:43  Et ne auferas de ore meo verbum veritatis usquequaque, quia in judiciis tuis supersperavi.

118:44  So shall I always keep thy law, for ever and ever.

118:44  Et custodiam legem tuam semper, in sæculum et in sæculum sæculi.

118:45  And I walked at large: because I have sought after thy commandments.

118:45  Et ambulabam in latitudine, quia mandata tua exquisivi.

118:46  And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings: and I was not ashamed.

118:46  Et loquebar in testimoniis tuis in conspectu regum, et non confundebar.

118:47  I meditated also on thy commandments, which I loved.

118:47  Et meditabar in mandatis tuis, quæ dilexi.

118:48  And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments, which I loved: and I was exercised in thy justifications.

118:48  Et levavi manus meas ad mandata tua, quæ dilexi, et exercebar in justificationibus tuis.

118:49  Be thou mindful of thy word to thy servant, in which thou hast given me hope.

118:49  Memor esto verbi tui servo tuo, in quo mihi spem dedisti.

118:50  This hath comforted me in my humiliation: because thy word hath enlivened me.

118:50  Hæc me consolata est in humilitate mea, quia eloquium tuum vivificavit me.

118:51  The proud did iniquitously altogether: but I declined not from thy law.

118:51  Superbi inique agebant usquequaque ; a lege autem tua non declinavi.

118:52  I remembered, O Lord, thy judgments of old: and I was comforted.

118:52  Memor fui judiciorum tuorum a sæculo, Domine, et consolatus sum.

118:53  A fainting hath taken hold of me, because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

118:53  Defectio tenuit me, pro peccatoribus derelinquentibus legem tuam.

118:54  Thy justifications were the subject of my song, in the place of my pilgrimage.

118:54  Cantabiles mihi erant justificationes tuæ in loco peregrinationis meæ.

118:55  In the night I have remembered thy name, O Lord: and have kept thy law.

118:55  Memor fui nocte nominis tui, Domine, et custodivi legem tuam.

118:56  This happened to me: because I sought after thy justifications.

118:56  Hæc facta est mihi, quia justificationes tuas exquisivi.

118:57  O Lord, my portion, I have said, I would keep thy law.

118:57  Portio mea, Domine, dixi custodire legem tuam.

118:58  I entreated thy face with all my heart: have mercy on me according to thy word.

118:58  Deprecatus sum faciem tuam in toto corde meo ; miserere mei secundum eloquium tuum.

118:59  I have thought on my ways: and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

118:59  Cogitavi vias meas, et converti pedes meos in testimonia tua.

118:60  I am ready, and am not troubled: that I may keep thy commandments.

118:60  Paratus sum, et non sum turbatus, ut custodiam mandata tua.

118:61  The cords of the wicked have encompassed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

118:61  Funes peccatorum circumplexi sunt me, et legem tuam non sum oblitus.

118:62  I rose at midnight to give praise to thee; for the judgments of thy justification.

118:62  Media nocte surgebam ad confitendum tibi, super judicia justificationis tuæ.

118:63  I am a partaker with all them that fear thee, and that keep thy commandments.

118:64  The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy justifications.

118:64  Misericordia tua, Domine, plena est terra ; justificationes tuas doce me.

118:65  Thou hast done well with thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word.

118:65  Bonitatem fecisti cum servo tuo, Domine, secundum verbum tuum.

118:66  Teach me goodness and discipline and knowledge; for I have believed thy commandments.

118:66  Bonitatem, et disciplinam, et scientiam doce me, quia mandatis tuis credidi.

118:67  Before I was humbled I offended; therefore have I kept thy word.

118:67  Priusquam humiliarer ego deliqui : propterea eloquium tuum custodivi.

118:68  Thou art good; and in thy goodness teach me thy justifications.

118:68  Bonus es tu, et in bonitate tua doce me justificationes tuas.

118:69  The iniquity of the proud hath been multiplied over me: but I will seek thy commandments with my whole heart.

118:69  Multiplicata est super me iniquitas superborum ; ego autem in toto corde meo scrutabor mandata tua.

118:70  Their heart is curdled like milk: but I have meditated on thy law.

118:70  Coagulatum est sicut lac cor eorum ; ego vero legem tuam meditatus sum.

118:71  It is good for me that thou hast humbled me, that I may learn thy justifications.
