Chapter 1

1:1  The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him, to show to His servants the things that are ordained to come to pass shortly; and He made it known, having sent it by His angel to His servant John;

1:2  Who gave witness to the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, and all the things he saw.

1:3  Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy and who keep the things that are written therein; for the time is at hand.

1:4  John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace and peace be to you from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come; and from the seven spirits that are before His throne;

1:5  And from Jesus Christ, the faithful Witness, the Firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him Who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

1:6  And has made us kings and priests to God and His Father; to Him be the glory and the sovereignty into the ages of eternity. Amen.

1:7  Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

1:8  "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending," says the Lord, "Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come—the Almighty."

1:9  I, John, who am also your brother and joint partaker in the tribulation and in the kingdom and endurance of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos because of the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

1:10  I was in the Spirit on the day of the Lord; and I heard a loud voice like a trumpet behind me,

1:11  Saying, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last"; and, "What you see, write in a book, and send it to the churches that are in Asia: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."

1:12  And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me; and when I turned, I saw seven golden lampstands;

1:13  And in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of man, clothed in a garment reaching to the feet, and girded about the chest with a golden breastplate.

1:14  And His head and hair were like white wool, white as snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire;

1:15  And His feet were like fine brass, as if they glowed in a furnace; and His voice was like the sound of many waters.

1:16  And in His right hand He had seven stars, and a sharp two-edged sword went out of His mouth, and His countenance was as the sun shining in its full power.

1:17  And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead; but He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last,

1:18  Even the One Who is living; for I was dead, and behold, I am alive into the ages of eternity. Amen. And I have the keys of the grave and of death.

1:19  Write the things that you saw, and the things that are, and the things that shall take place hereafter.

1:20  The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, is this: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven lampstands that you saw are the seven churches."

Chapter 2

2:1  "To the angel of the Ephesian church, write: These things says He Who holds the seven stars in His right hand, Who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands.

2:2  I know your works, and your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot bear those who are evil; and that you did test those who proclaim themselves to be apostles, but are not, and did find them liars;

2:3  And that you have borne much and have endured, and for My name's sake have labored and have not grown weary;

2:4  Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

2:5  Therefore, remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works; for if you do not, I will come to you quickly; and I will remove your lampstand out of its place unless you repent.

2:6  But this you have: that you hate the works of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

2:7  The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes I will give the right to eat of the tree of life that is in the midst of the paradise of God.

2:8  And to the angel of the church of the Smyrneans write: These things says the First and the Last, Who was dead but is alive.

2:9  I know your works and tribulation and poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who declare themselves to be Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

2:10  Do not fear any of the things that you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.

2:11  The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death.

2:12  And to the angel of the church in Pergamos, write: These things says He Who has the sharp two-edged sword.

2:13  I know your works and where you dwell, where the throne of Satan is; but you are holding fast My name, and did not deny My faith, even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

2:14  But I have a few things against you because you have there those who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit fornication.

2:15  Moreover, you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

2:16  Repent! For if you do not repent, I will come to you quickly, and will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.

2:17  The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes I will give the right to eat of the hidden manna; and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows except the one who receives it.

2:18  And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These things says the Son of God, He Who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like fine brass.

2:19  I know your works, and love, and service, and faith, and your endurance, and your works; and the last are more than the first.

2:20  But I have a few things against you, because you allow the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce My servants into committing fornication and eating things sacrificed to idols.

2:21  And I gave her time to repent of her fornication, but she did not repent.

2:22  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their works.

2:23  And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He Who searches the reins and hearts; and I will give to each of you according to your works.

2:24  But to you I say, and to the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will not cast upon you any other burden,

2:25  But hold fast what you have until I come.

2:26  And to the one who overcomes, and keeps My works unto the end, I will give authority over the nations;

2:27  And he shall shepherd them with an iron rod, as vessels of pottery are broken in pieces; as I have also received from My Father;

2:28  And I will give him the morning star.

2:29  The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Chapter 3

3:1  "And to the angel of the church in Sardis, write: These things says He Who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your works, and that you have a name as if you are alive, but are dead.

3:2  Be watchful, and strengthen the things that remain, which are about to die. For I have not found your works complete before God.

3:3  Therefore, remember what you have received and heard, and hold on to this, and repent. Now then, if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you shall by no means know what hour I will come upon you.

3:4  You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with Me in white because they are worthy.

3:5  The one who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments; and I will not blot out his name from the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

3:6  The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

3:7  And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write: These things says the Holy One, the One Who is true; the One Who has the key of David, Who opens and no one shuts, and Who shuts and no one opens.

3:8  I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, and no one has the power to shut it because you have a little strength, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

3:9  Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who proclaim themselves to be Jews and are not, but do lie—behold, I will cause them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

3:10  Because you have kept the word of My patience, I also will keep you from the time of temptation which is about to come upon the whole world to try those who dwell on the earth.

3:11  Behold, I am coming quickly; hold fast that which you have so that no one may take away your crown.

3:12  The one who overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall not go out any more; and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which will come down out of heaven from My God; and I will write upon him My new name.

3:13  The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

3:14  And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans, write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginner of the creation of God.

3:15  I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you be either cold or hot.

3:16  So then, because you are lukewarm, and are neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.

3:17  For you say, 'I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'; and you do not understand that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

3:18  I counsel you to buy from Me gold purified by fire so that you may be rich; and white garments so that you may be clothed, and the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and to anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see.

3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent.

3:20  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

3:21  To the one who overcomes will I give authority to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and sat down with My Father in His throne.

3:22  The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Chapter 4

4:1  After these things I looked, and behold, a door opened in heaven; and the first voice that I heard was as if a trumpet were speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you the things that must take place after these things."

4:2  And immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was set in heaven, and One was sitting on the throne.

4:3  And He Who was sitting was in appearance like a jasper stone and a sardius stone; and a rainbow was around the throne, like an emerald in its appearance.

4:4  And around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments; and they had on their heads golden crowns.

4:5  And proceeding from the throne were lightnings and thunders and voices; and seven lamps of fire, which are the seven spirits of God, were burning before the throne.

4:6  And before the throne was a sea of glass, like crystal. And around the throne and over the throne were four living creatures, full of eyes before and behind;

4:7  And the first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature was like a bull, and the third living creature had the face of a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

4:8  And each of the four living creatures had six wings respectively; and around and within they were full of eyes; and day and night they cease not saying, "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was, and Who is, and Who is to come."

4:9  And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him Who sits on the throne, Who lives into the ages of eternity,

4:10  The twenty-four elders fall down before Him Who sits on the throne; and they worship Him Who lives into the ages of eternity, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

4:11  "Worthy are You, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power because You did create all things, and for Your will they were created and exist."

Chapter 5

5:1  And in the right hand of Him Who sits on the throne I saw a book, written within and on the back, which had been sealed with seven seals.

5:2  And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book and to loose its seals?"

5:3  But no one in heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth was able to open the book, or to look inside it.

5:4  And I was weeping greatly because no one was found worthy to open and to read the book, or to look into it.

5:5  Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion Who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome to open the book, and to loose its seven seals."

5:6  Then I saw, and behold, before the throne and the four living creatures, and before the elders, was standing a Lamb as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God that are sent into all the earth;

5:7  And He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him Who sits on the throne.

5:8  And when He took the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having harps and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

5:9  And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are You to take the book, and to open its seals because You were slain, and did redeem us to God by Your own blood, out of every tribe and language and people and nation,

5:10  And did make us unto our God kings and priests; and we shall reign on the earth."

5:11  And I saw and I heard the voices of many angels around the throne, and the voices of the living creatures and the elders, and thousands of thousands,

5:12  Saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory and blessing."

5:13  And every creature that is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are on the sea, and all the things in them, I heard saying, "To Him Who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing, and honor, and glory, and sovereignty into the ages of eternity."

5:14  And the four living creatures said, "Amen." And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him Who lives into the ages of eternity.

Chapter 6

6:1  And I looked when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures say, like the sound of thunder, "Come and see."

6:2  And I looked, and behold, there was a white horse; and the one who was sitting on it had a bow, and a crown was given to him; and he went out conquering, and to conquer.

6:3  And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come and see."

6:4  And another horse went out that was red; and power was given to the one sitting on it to take peace from the earth, and to cause them to kill one another; and a great sword was given to him.

6:5  And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come and see." And I looked, and behold, there was a black horse; and the one sitting on it had a balance in his hand.

6:6  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say, "A measure of wheat for a silver coin, and three measures of barley for a silver coin: and see that you do not damage the oil and the wine."

6:7  And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come and see."

6:8  And I looked, and behold, there was a pale horse; and the name of the one sitting on it was Death, and the grave followed him; and authority was given to them over one fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword and with famine and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

6:9  And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony that they held;

6:10  And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"

6:11  And white robes were given to each of them; and they were told that they should rest a short time yet, until it be fulfilled that both their fellow servants and their brethren also would be killed, just as they had been.

6:12  And when He opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as the hair of sackcloth, and the moon became as blood;

6:13  And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its untimely figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.

6:14  Then the heaven departed like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

6:15  And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the powerful men, and every bondman, and every free man hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains;

6:16  And they said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him Who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb

6:17  Because the great day of His wrath has come, and who has the power to stand?"

Chapter 7

7:1  And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that the wind might not blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree.

7:2  Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to damage the earth and the sea,

7:3  Saying, "Do not damage the earth, or the sea, or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."

7:4  And I heard the number of those who were sealed: one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel.

7:5  From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed; from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand were sealed; from the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand were sealed;

7:6  From the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand were sealed; from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand were sealed; from the tribe of Manasseh, twelve thousand were sealed;

7:7  From the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand were sealed; from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand were sealed; from the tribe of Issachar, twelve thousand were sealed;

7:8  From the tribe of Zebulon, twelve thousand were sealed; from the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand were sealed; from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed.

7:9  After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one was able to number, out of every nation and tribe and people and language, was standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes and holding palms in their hands;

7:10  And they were calling out with a loud voice to Him Who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, saying, "The salvation of our God has come."

7:11  Then all the angels stood around the throne, and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

7:12  Saying, "Amen. Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power and strength be to our God into the ages of eternity. Amen."

7:13  And one of the elders answered and said to me, "These who are clothed with white robes, who are they, and where did they come from?"

7:14  Then I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "They are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation; and they have washed their robes, and have made their robes white in the blood of the Lamb.

7:15  For this reason, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and the One Who sits on the throne shall dwell among them.

7:16  They shall not hunger any more, nor shall they thirst any more; neither shall the sun nor the heat fall upon them,

7:17  Because the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them, and will lead them to fountains of living waters; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Chapter 8

8:1  Now when He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about a half hour.

8:2  Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

8:3  And another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar; and much incense was given to him, so that he might offer it with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar that was before the throne.

8:4  And the smoke of the incense went up before God from the hand of the angel, ascending with the prayers of the saints.

8:5  And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire from the altar, and cast it into the earth; and there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

8:6  Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound their trumpets.

8:7  And the first angel sounded his trumpet; and there was hail and fire mingled with blood, and it was cast upon the earth; and a third of the trees were burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8:8  Then the second angel sounded his trumpet; and there was cast into the sea as it were a great mountain burning with fire, and a third of the sea became blood;

8:9  And a third of the living creatures that were in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

8:10  And the third angel sounded his trumpet; and there fell out of heaven a great star, burning like a lamp; and it fell on a third of the rivers, and on the fountains of waters.

8:11  Now the name of the star is Wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood; and many men died from drinking the waters because they were made bitter.

8:12  Then the fourth angel sounded his trumpet; and a third of the sun was smitten, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars; so that a third of them were darkened; and a third part of the day did not shine, and likewise a third part of the night.

8:13  And I looked; and I heard an angel flying in the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to those who are dwelling on the earth, because of the voices of the remaining trumpets of the three angels who are about to sound their trumpets."

Chapter 9

9:1  And the fifth angel sounded his trumpet; and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to the earth, and there was given to him the key to the bottomless abyss.

9:2  And he opened the bottomless abyss; and there went up smoke from the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.

9:3  Then locusts came onto the earth from the smoke; and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

9:4  And it was said to them that they should not damage the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only the men who did not have the seal of God in their foreheads.

9:5  And it was given to them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man.

9:6  And in those days men will seek death but will not find it; and they will desire to die, but death will flee from them.

9:7  And the appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for war; and on their heads were crowns like those of gold; and their faces were like the faces of men;

9:8  And they had hair like women's hair; and their teeth were like those of lions.

9:9  And they had breastplates like iron breastplates; and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots drawn by many horses running to war;

9:10  And they had tails like scorpions, and stingers; and they were given power to injure men with their tails for five months.

9:11  And they have over them a king, the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but the name he has in Greek is Apollyon.

9:12  The first woe is past. Behold, after these things two more woes are still to come.

9:13  And the sixth angel sounded his trumpet; and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God;

9:14  And it said to the sixth angel, who had the trumpet, "Loose the four angels who are bound in the great river Euphrates."

9:15  Then the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were loosed, so that they might kill a third of men;

9:16  And the number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred thousand thousand; and I heard the number of them.

9:17  And so I saw the horses in the vision, and those sitting on them, who had fiery breastplates, even like jacinth and brimstone. And the heads of the horses were like heads of lions, and fire and smoke and brimstone shoot out of their mouths.

9:18  By these three, a third of men were killed: by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone that shoot out of their mouths.

9:19  For their power is in their mouths; for their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they inflict wounds.

9:20  But the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands, that they might not worship demons, and idols of gold and silver and brass and stone and wood, which do not have the power to see, nor to hear, nor to walk.

9:21  And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornications, nor of their thievery.

Chapter 10

10:1  Then I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud, and with a rainbow on his head; and his face was like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire;

10:2  And he had in his hand a little book that was open. And he placed his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

10:3  And cried with a loud voice, as a lion roars. And when he cried, the seven thunders uttered their voices.

10:4  And when the seven thunders spoke with their voices, I was about to write. But I heard a voice from heaven say to me, "Seal what the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them."

10:5  Then the angel whom I had seen standing on the sea and on the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

10:6  And swore by Him Who lives into the ages of eternity, Who created the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, "There shall be no more delay."

10:7  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound the trumpet, the mystery of God shall also be completed, according to the gospel that He declared to His servants the prophets.

10:8  Then the voice that I heard from heaven spoke to me again, and said, "Go, take the little book that is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the earth."

10:9  And I went to the angel, and said to him, "Give me the little book." And he said to me, "Take it and eat it; and it shall make your belly bitter, but in your mouth it shall be sweet as honey."

10:10  Then I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it; and it was sweet as honey in my mouth; but after I ate it, my belly was bitter.

10:11  And he said to me, "You must again prophesy against many people, and nations, and languages and kings."

Chapter 11

11:1  Then the angel gave me a measuring rod like a staff, saying, "Arise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it.

11:2  But leave out the court that is within the temple area, and do not measure it because it has been given up to the Gentiles; and they shall trample upon the holy city for forty-two months.

11:3  And I will give power to My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

11:4  These are the two olive trees, and the two lampstands that stand before the God of the earth.

11:5  And if anyone attempts to harm them, fire will go out of their mouths and devour their enemies. For if anyone attempts to harm them, he must be killed in this manner.

11:6  These have authority to shut heaven so that no rain may fall in the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they will.

11:7  And when they have completed their testimony, the beast who ascends out of the abyss will make war against them, and will overcome them, and will kill them.

11:8  And their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

11:9  Then those of the peoples and tribes and languages and nations shall see their bodies three and a half days, for they will not allow their bodies to be put into tombs.

11:10  And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and will make merry, and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets had tormented those who dwell on the earth."

11:11  Then after the three and a half days, the spirit of life from God entered into them and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them.

11:12  And they heard a great voice from heaven, say, "Come up here!" And they ascended into heaven in a cloud; and their enemies saw them rise.

11:13  And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; and seven thousand men were killed in the earthquake. And the rest were filled with fear, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

11:14  The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming immediately.

11:15  Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign into the ages of eternity."

11:16  And the twenty-four elders, who sit before God on their thrones, fell on their faces and worshiped God,

11:17  Saying, "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come; for You have taken to Yourself Your great power, and have reigned.

11:18  For the nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time for the dead to be judged, and to give reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to all those who fear Your name, the small and the great; and to destroy those who destroy the earth."

11:19  And the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple; and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake and great hail.

Chapter 12

12:1  Then there appeared a great wonder in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and having the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

12:2  And being with child, she cried in travail, and was in pain to deliver.

12:3  And another sign was seen in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads;

12:4  And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to deliver, so that he might devour her child when she gave birth.

12:5  And she gave birth to a man Child, Who was to shepherd all the nations with a rod of iron; and her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

12:6  And the woman escaped into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there for a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

12:7  And there was war in heaven; Michael and his angels warred against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels warred.

12:8  But they did not prevail, neither was their place found any more in heaven.

12:9  And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent who is called the Devil and Satan, who is deceiving the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.

12:10  And I heard a great voice in heaven say, "Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ because the accuser of our brethren has been cast down, who accuses them day and night before our God.

12:11  But they overcame him through the blood of the Lamb, and through the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.

12:12  Therefore, rejoice you heavens and those who dwell in them. Woe to those who inhabit the earth and the sea! For the Devil has come down to you, having great wrath because he knows that he has only a short time."

12:13  And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who had brought forth the man child.

12:14  And two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, so that she might fly to her place in the wilderness, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

12:15  And the serpent cast water out of his mouth as a river, so that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.

12:16  But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed up the river that the dragon had cast out of his mouth.

12:17  Then the dragon was furious with the woman and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Chapter 13

13:1  And I stood on the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

13:2  And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, and his feet like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne and great authority.

13:3  And I saw one of his heads as if it were slain to death, but his deadly wound was healed; and the whole earth was amazed and followed the beast.

13:4  And they worshiped the dragon, who gave his authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who has the power to make war against him?"

13:5  And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to him; and authority was given to him to continue for forty-two months.

13:6  And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.

13:7  And he was given power to make war against the saints, and to overcome them; and he was given authority over every tribe and language and nation.

13:8  And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

13:9  If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

13:10  If anyone gathers into captivity, he shall go into captivity. If anyone kills with the sword, he must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

13:11  And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon;

13:12  And he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him; and he causes the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13:13  And he performs great wonders, so that he even causes fire to come down to the earth from heaven in the sight of men.

13:14  And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by means of the wonders that were given to him to perform in the sight of the beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image for the beast, which had the wound by the sword, yet was alive.

13:15  And he was given power to give life to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast also could speak; and he causes everyone who will not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

13:16  And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to receive a mark in their right hands, or in their foreheads;

13:17  So that no one may have the ability to buy and sell unless he has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

13:18  Here is wisdom. Let the one who has understanding count the number of the beast; for it is a man's number, and his number is 666.

Chapter 14

14:1  And I looked, and I beheld the Lamb standing on Mount Sion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father's name written on their foreheads.

14:2  Then I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of great thunder; and I heard the sound of lyre players playing their lyres.

14:3  And they were singing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one was able to learn the song except the hundred and forty-four thousand, who were redeemed from the earth.

14:4  These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins; they are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They were purchased from among men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb;

14:5  And no guile was found in their mouths; for they are blameless before the throne of God.

14:6  And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and language and people;

14:7  Saying with a loud voice, "Fear God, and give glory to Him, because the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him Who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

14:8  Then another angel followed, saying, "The great city Babylon is fallen, is fallen, because of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, which she has given all nations to drink."

14:9  And a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives the mark in his forehead or in his hand,

14:10  He shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed undiluted in the cup of His wrath; and he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone in the sight of the holy angels, and of the Lamb.

14:11  And the smoke of their torment ascends into the ages of eternity; and those who worship the beast and his image, and all who receive the mark of his name, have no rest day and night."

14:12  Here is the patience of the saints; here are the ones who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

14:13  And I heard a voice from heaven say to me, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from this time forward. Yes, says the Spirit, so that they may rest from their labors; and their works follow them."

14:14  And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and one like the Son of man sitting on the cloud, having a golden crown on His head; and in His hand was a sharp sickle.

14:15  And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him Who was sitting on the cloud, "Thrust in your sickle and reap, because the time has come for You to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe."

14:16  And He Who was sitting on the cloud thrust forth His sickle upon the earth, and the earth was reaped.

14:17  Then another angel, who also had a sharp sickle, came out of the temple that is in heaven.

14:18  And out from the altar came another angel, who had authority over fire; and he called with a loud cry to the one who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the earth, because her grapes are fully ripe."

14:19  And the angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast its fruit into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

14:20  And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood spewed out from the winepress as high as the horses' bridles, to the distance of a thousand six hundred furlongs.

Chapter 15

15:1  Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and awesome: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is filled up.

15:2  And I saw a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having the lyres of God.

15:3  And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and awesome are Your works, Lord God Almighty; righteous and true are Your ways, King of the saints.

15:4  Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You only are holy; and all the nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been revealed."

15:5  And after these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.

15:6  And the seven angels who had the seven last plagues came out of the temple; they were clothed in linen, pure and bright, and girded about the chest with golden breastplates.

15:7  And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden vials, full of the wrath of God, Who lives into the ages of eternity.

15:8  And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from His power; and no one was able to enter inside the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Chapter 16

16:1  Then I heard a loud voice from the temple say to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the vials of the wrath of God onto the earth."

16:2  And the first angel went and poured out his vial onto the earth; and an evil and grievous sore fell upon the men who had the mark of the beast, and upon those who were worshiping his image.

16:3  And the second angel went and poured out his vial into the sea; and it became blood, like that of a dead man; and every living soul in the sea died.

16:4  And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers, and into the fountains of waters; and they became blood.

16:5  Then I heard the angel of the waters say, "You are righteous, O Lord, Who are, and Who was, even the Holy One, in that You have executed this judgment.

16:6  For they have poured out the blood of saints and of prophets, and You have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy."

16:7  And I heard another voice from the altar say, "Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."

16:8  And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given to it to scorch men with fire.

16:9  Then men were scorched with great heat; and they blasphemed the name of God, Who has authority over these plagues, and did not repent to give Him glory.

16:10  And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain,

16:11  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; yet they did not repent of their works.

16:12  And the sixth angel poured out his vial into the great river Euphrates; and its waters were dried up, so that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun might be prepared.

16:13  Then I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet;

16:14  For they are spirits of demons working miracles, going forth to the kings of the earth, even of the whole world, to gather them together to the battle of that great day of the Almighty God.

16:15  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is the one who is watching and is keeping his garments, so that he may not walk naked and they may not see his shame.

16:16  And he gathered them together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

16:17  Then the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "IT IS FINISHED."

16:18  And there were voices and thunders and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were on the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

16:19  And the great city was divided into three parts; and the cities of the nations fell; and Babylon the Great was remembered before God to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of His wrath.

16:20  And every island disappeared, and no mountains were found;

16:21  And great hail, each stone the weight of a talent, fell down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for the plague was exceedingly great.

Chapter 17

17:1  And one of the seven angels who had the seven vials came and spoke with me, saying to me, "Come here; I will show you the judgment of the great whore who sits upon many waters;

17:2  With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication."

17:3  Then he carried me away in the spirit to a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast that had seven heads and ten horns, full of names of blasphemy.

17:4  And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and was adorned with gold and pearls and precious stones; and she had a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominations and the filthiness of her fornication;

17:5  And across her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

17:6  And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And after seeing her, I wondered with great amazement.

17:7  Then the angel said to me, "Why are you amazed? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

17:8  The beast that you saw was, and is not, but is about to come up out of the abyss and to go into perdition. And those who dwell on the earth, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, shall be astonished when they see the beast that was, but is not, and yet is.

17:9  Here is the mind that has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.

17:10  And there are seven kings; five are fallen, and one is, and the other has not yet come; and when he has come, it is ordained that he remain a little while.

17:11  And the beast that was, and is not, he is also the eighth, and is from the seven, and goes into perdition.

17:12  And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but shall receive authority as kings for one hour with the beast.

17:13  These all have one mind, and shall give up their power and authority to the beast.

17:14  These will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb shall overcome them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful."

17:15  Then he said to me, "The waters that you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages.

17:16  But the ten horns that you saw on the beast shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her with fire;

17:17  For God has put into their hearts to do His will, and to act with one accord, and to give their kingdom to the beast until the words of God have been fulfilled.

17:18  And the woman whom you saw is the great city that has royal power over the kings of the earth."

Chapter 18

18:1  And after these things I saw an angel descending from heaven, having great authority; and the earth was illuminated with his glory.

18:2  And he cried out mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a habitation of demons, and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hated bird;

18:3  Because all nations have drunk of the wine of the fury of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the power of her luxury."

18:4  And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, My people, so that you do not take part in her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues,

18:5  For her sins have reached as far as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

18:6  Render to her as she has rendered to you; and give to her double, even according to her works. In the cup that she mixed, give her back double.

18:7  To the degree that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, give to her as much torment and sorrow. For she says in her heart, 'I sit a queen enthroned, and am not a widow; and in no way shall I experience sorrow.'

18:8  For this very reason, her plagues shall come in one day—death and sorrow and famine; and she shall be burned with fire; for the Lord God, Who executes judgment upon her, is powerful.

18:9  Then the kings of the earth who have committed fornication with her and have lived luxuriously, will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning.

18:10  They will stand far off for fear of her torment, saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city Babylon, the mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.'

18:11  And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, because no one will buy their merchandise any more:

18:12  The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and every article of ivory, and every article of rare wood, and brass, and iron, and marble,

18:13  And cinnamon, and incense, and ointment, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and the souls of men.

18:14  For the ripe fruits that your soul desires will depart from you, and all the rich things and the bright things will depart from you, and you will not find them any more.

18:15  The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, will stand far off because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,

18:16  And saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, which was clothed with fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!

18:17  For in one hour such great wealth has been destroyed.' And every shipmaster, and all traveling in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, will stand far off.

18:18  And they will cry out as they watch the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What city is like this great city?'

18:19  And they will throw dust on their heads, and cry out, weeping and mourning, saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, by which all who had ships in the sea were made wealthy through the abundance of her costly things! For in one hour she has been destroyed.'

18:20  Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has executed judgment upon her for your sakes."

18:21  Then one strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, "In this same way shall the great city Babylon be thrown down with violence, and shall never again be found;

18:22  And never again shall the sound of harpers and musicians and flute players and trumpeters be heard in you; and never again shall any craftsman of any craft be found in you; and never again shall the sound of a millstone be heard in you;

18:23  And never again shall the light of a lamp shine in you; and never again shall the voices of bridegroom and bride be heard in you; for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and by your sorcery all nations were deceived.

18:24  And in her the blood of prophets and saints was found, and the blood of all those who were slain on the earth."

Chapter 19

19:1  And after these things I heard the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! The salvation and the glory and the honor and the power belong to the Lord our God.

19:2  For true and righteous are His judgments; for He has judged the great whore, who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and He has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand."

19:3  And they said a second time, "Hallelujah! And her smoke shall ascend upward into the ages of eternity."

19:4  And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, Who sits on the throne, saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!"

19:5  And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all His servants, and all who fear Him, both small and great."

19:6  And I heard a voice like that of a great multitude, and like the sound of many waters, and the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord God Almighty has reigned.

19:7  Let us be glad and shout with joy; and let us give glory to Him; for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."

19:8  And it was granted to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, pure and bright; for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.

19:9  And he said to me, "Write: Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he said to me, "These are the true words of God."

19:10  And I fell at his feet to worship him. Then he said to me, "See that you do not do this! I am a fellow servant of yours, and of your brethren, who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

19:11  And I saw heaven open; and behold, a white horse; and He Who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He does judge and make war.

19:12  And His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written that no one knows except Him.

19:13  And He was clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and His name is The Word of God.

19:14  And the armies in heaven were following Him on white horses; and they were clothed in fine linen, white and pure.

19:15  And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He might smite the nations; and He shall shepherd them with an iron rod; and He treads the winepress of the fury and the wrath of the Almighty God.

19:16  And on His garment and on His thigh He has a name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.

19:17  Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather yourselves together to the supper of the great God

19:18  So that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of chief captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all, free and bond, and small and great."

19:19  And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered together to make war with Him Who sits on the horse, and with His army.

19:20  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked miracles in his presence, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Those two were cast alive into the lake of fire, which burns with brimstone;

19:21  And the rest were killed by the sword of Him Who sits on the horse, even the sword that goes out of His mouth; and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Chapter 20

20:1  Then I saw an angel descending from heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain in his hand.

20:2  And he took hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

20:3  Then he cast him into the abyss, and locked him up, and sealed the abyss over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer until the thousand years were fulfilled; and after that it is ordained that he be loosed for a short time.

20:4  And I saw thrones; and they that sat upon them, and judgment was given to them; and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and those who did not worship the beast, or his image, and did not receive the mark in their foreheads or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

20:5  (But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were completed.) This is the first resurrection.

20:6  Blessed and holy is the one who has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

20:7  Now when the thousand years have been completed, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison;

20:8  And he shall go out to deceive the nations that are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, of whom the number is as the sand of the sea, to gather them together for war.

20:9  Then I saw them go up upon the breadth of the earth and encircle the camp of the saints, and the beloved city; and fire came down from God out of heaven and consumed them;

20:10  And the Devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet had been cast; and they, Satan and the demons, shall be tormented day and night into the ages of eternity.

20:11  Then I saw a great white throne and the one Who was sitting on it, from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and no place was found for them.

20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books, according to their works.

20:13  And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead that were in them; and they were judged individually, according to their works.

20:14  And death and the grave were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

20:15  And if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

Chapter 21

21:1  Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea.

21:2  And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

21:3  And I heard a great voice from heaven say, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men; and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people; and God Himself shall be with them and be their God.

21:4  And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall not be any more death, or sorrow, or crying; neither shall there be any more pain, because the former things have passed away."

21:5  And He Who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Then He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."

21:6  And He said to me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts, I will give freely of the fountain of the water of life.

21:7  The one who overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.

21:8  But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone; which is the second death."

21:9  And one of the seven angels that had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, and I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."

21:10  And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

21:11  Having the glory of God. And her radiance was like a most precious stone, as crystal-clear as jasper stone.

21:12  And the city also had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and inscribed on the gates were the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

21:13  On the east were three gates; on the north were three gates; on the south were three gates; on the west were three gates.

21:14  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and written on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

21:15  And the one who was speaking with me had a golden measuring rod, so that he might measure the city, and its gates and its wall.

21:16  And the city lies foursquare, for its length is as long as its breadth. And he measured the city with the rod, twelve thousand furlongs; the length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

21:17  And he measured its wall, one hundred and forty-four cubits; the angel's measure was according to a man's.

21:18  And the structure of its wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like pure glass.

21:19  And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every precious stone: the first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;

21:20  The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.

21:21  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each of the gates respectively was a single pearl; and the street of the city was pure gold, as transparent as glass.

21:22  And I saw no temple in it; for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

21:23  And the city has no need of the sun, or of the moon, that they should shine in it; because the glory of God enlightens it, and the light of it is the Lamb.

21:24  And the nations that are saved shall walk in its light; and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor into it.

21:25  And its gates shall never be shut by day; for there shall be no night there.

21:26  And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

21:27  And nothing that defiles shall ever enter into it, nor shall anyone who practices an abomination or devises a lie; but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Chapter 22

22:1  Then he showed me a pure river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

22:2  And in the middle of the street, and on this side and that side of the river, was the tree of life, producing twelve manner of fruits, each month yielding its fruit; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

22:3  And there shall be no more curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him,

22:4  And they shall see His face; and His name is in their foreheads.

22:5  And there shall be no night there; for they have no need of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God enlightens them; and they shall reign into the ages of eternity.

22:6  And he said to me, "These words are faithful and true; and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things that must shortly come to pass.

22:7  Behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

22:8  Now I, John, was the one who saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who was showing me these things.

22:9  But he said to me, "See that you do not do this! For I am a fellow servant of yours, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

22:10  And he said to me, "Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book because the time is near.

22:11  Let the one who is unrighteous be unrighteous still; and let the one who is filthy be filthy still; and let the one who is righteous be righteous still; and let the one who is holy be holy still.

22:12  And behold, I am coming quickly; and My reward is with Me, to render to each one according as his work shall be.

22:13  I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

22:14  Blessed are those who keep His commandments, that they may have the right to eat of the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.

22:15  But excluded are dogs, and sorcerers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone who loves and devises a lie.

22:16  I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify these things to you in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star."

22:17  And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who thirsts come; and let the one who desires partake of the water of life freely.

22:18  For I jointly testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, that if anyone adds to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book.

22:19  And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the book of life, and from the holy city, and from the things that are written in this book.

22:20  He Who testifies these things says, "Surely, I am coming quickly." Amen . Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

22:21  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
